Hi Wayne, saw that we are watching the same video with similar interests and I thought it would be a great opportunity to connect and network. Hope you don't mind. Tan
What a great video on how to become a digital marketing consultant. You explained everything very well. My journey into this field all started with learning HTML/CSS to build websites. But then I realized that there is way more to web design than HTML/CSS. So I started learning UX/UI design. Then as I learned about that I started learning about branding. Then that led me to learning about storytelling. Then that led me to learning about copywriting. So I've been reading a lot about copywriting to really understand the mindset behind it...which I think is fascinating. Now I'm at a point where I need to practice copywriting to get some experience. So I'll start a blog. But having this in mind has led me to dip my toe in the world of SEO. And later on I can learn data science, email marketing, etc. So I said all of that to say, I realized putting all of these skills together I could enter into the world of digital marketing. Hence, be a digital marketing consultant. And have the freedom of living anywhere (I love to travel as well). Great video! And thanks for sharing this.
that is like exactly the path. I also started with HTML long long ago with macromedia dreamweaver. but it was SEO that gave me the light at the end of the tunnel - as long as there are search bars - there will be algos and thus, there will be optimization methodologies where agile, fast-lerarners can excel. I know most of digital fields I remember that I was shifting from one to another, but it's hard to keep up with all the updates specially that we focus on practical things more than theories. but I didn't think before to use this knowledge or skills as package to provide consultant. it happens that people ask me and I just answer but also I feel that I miss some information when it come to specialize but it's also logical that you won't know everything before you work on it.

Wow, one of the best videos on the subject I’ve seen, still holding true in 2022. I’d love to get your input on how long it took you (or takes) to go from starting your own education to actually making money in the field? He learned: {Look up these keywords} ► Sales funnel ► Lead magnets ► Trip Wires ► Profit Maximizers ► Social media traffic ► Organic traffic ► Google adwords ► Reaching out to websites for back-links ► Video ► Graphic design ► Build trust/cred/testimonials In the end, business owners just need you to be better than THEM. You shouldn't be the #1 on planet earth, they couldn't afford you. You want to simply be better than them, know a little more about marketing then them. When you know a little more, you can let them know their known unknowns.

So my take away from this video is...I'm well on my way to becoming a digital marketing consultant. Already know quite a bit about SEO and am actively learning Copy right now. Great video!
I'd like first of all to thank you very much for your most informative video! It's really helpful. The only thing I didn't understand is: do you provide your clients with typical dm job (FB ads, Google ads, SEO, copywriting, etc) or do you always propose to them a digital marketer to do the job and you just consult? Because then, they'd have to take a percentage of the "charge" as well. I would also appreciate if you could do another video about other dm books that helped you and/or blogs or online sources we could use for farther education. Thank you in advance! *I look forward for your online course
I'm trying to transition to digital marketing from content writing and it appears I have my work cut out. Thanks for posting this video, man. I at least have a clearer picture now of how to proceed.
So proud of you! As someone who has watched you from the beginning and watched that flame die out a long time ago im very happy to see you finally move in the right direction
The longer the video there more you're added after videos as the next video, or a suggested video. RUclips wanted viewers to stay on RUclips which = longer the video, the more likely they are to recommend that video = more views for the video etc etc
How did you eat and pay bills while you were self learning? How did you know what you needed to work on next? I love this video and I am so encouraged by your information and views. But I am also SO overwhelmed by where to start. I think I could be great at this but I need an income and a mentor, some sort of path.
Great talk! I am 16 years old and i still did not now what I wanted to work on. But I always loved the idea of working as a freelancer and this seems like a great career. I also figured that if I wanted to have my own business in a future this would be the perfect way to start. I do have 2 questions,: 1. What is the order of things that we should learn to become a consultant? Ej: First SEO, Second etc... and my second question is if you could make an online course on how to become a good freelancer and all the steps and material. I bet lots of people would buy that. Thanks for the video

In the end, business owners just need you to be better than THEM. You shouldn't be the #1 on planet earth, they couldn't afford you. You want to simply be better than them, know a little more about marketing then them. When you know a little more, you can let them know their known unknowns.
HI Devon, thank you so much for that awesome list! Love your summary! Namaste.

Thank you very much and greetings from Argentina!!

I really appreciate your comment!
Loved this video, so useful that's high-quality content for sure! Thanks!
The knowledge you give here is priceless. I was skeptical at first about the courses that digital marketers offer. But now I will focus on develop my skills and try to get my first clients. I have a lot of questions about the contracts and how they should be written but I guess I will learn along the way. Thanks a lot!
You should be skeptical. Most of them do not even do what they sell. Find the right ones for you.
Really really really great content. Thank you for sharing.
Man, you are on right. OSHO😇♥️💚😇

So my take away from this video is...I'm well on my way to becoming a digital marketing consultant. Already know quite a bit about SEO and am actively learning Copy right now. Great video!
This might be the most useful video I have ever seen
You highlighted the most important.
*I look forward for your online course
the same question?
I'm trying to transition to digital marketing from content writing and it appears I have my work cut out. Thanks for posting this video, man. I at least have a clearer picture now of how to proceed.
excellent video, probably best I've listened to. Thanks
Damn. The point related to "How much to charge" was really helpful.
nice holistic approach to the subject!
So proud of you! As someone who has watched you from the beginning and watched that flame die out a long time ago im very happy to see you finally move in the right direction
it was 26 minutes long video, but the quality kept me engaged 💖
The best content is always long. RUclips has a backwards culture in many aspects. Never follow the majority.
The longer the video there more you're added after videos as the next video, or a suggested video. RUclips wanted viewers to stay on RUclips which = longer the video, the more likely they are to recommend that video = more views for the video etc etc
Man this was most insightful video I have ever seen on youtube!
That is quite the compliment! Thank you ;)
How did you eat and pay bills while you were self learning? How did you know what you needed to work on next? I love this video and I am so encouraged by your information and views. But I am also SO overwhelmed by where to start. I think I could be great at this but I need an income and a mentor, some sort of path.
I do odd jobs. I did door dash. I made videos for other people. I used my credit card. I lived at home. I did what it took.
So good thanks
Monitor your competitors' digital marketing efforts to uncover trends and possibilities for distinction.
Thank you RUclips recommendations! And thank you man!
Omg! I'm so happy I found this. Very straightforward and insightful.
Thanks a lot. I'll be learning more here.
Im 16 and wanna be a marketer very valuable info
What were the books you read? I would love to read them as well!
