In my opinion, d reason she looks Bini is not d beads, d beads are Igbo; not d hairstyle, its just beads wrapped around an afro ponytail (packing gel in Nigeria) while Binis' style is like a crown dat covers d entire hair; its not d dress either, Binis tie red wrapper nt dresses. Its because of the COLOUR. She and her bridesmaids shouldn't have won all RED. Dats exclusively BINI. For dat dey deserve apology

Bettina Ibouanga it is shade. And rightly due. These are the same biafrans that claim to hate Nigeria but are copying from a minority group. 10 years from now people will claim this is a Igbo thing because they are the majority. But edos who lay claim to this culture will be seen as the copycats when it is our culture. This was the dressing of royalty during the Benin kingdom. It is dear to us. We don’t appreciate Igbos copying it and then denying it.

If Igbos would spend more time learning about their culture rather than only studying Biafra war they would know more about their culture before Biafra war. This is not how Igbo brides dress this is edo culture. How embarrassing. You wear someone else’s cultural garb and label it as your own. Shameless.

I dont understand how it is edo culture, my mum dressed like that for her maiden dance before she changed to the married woman attire of an igbo woman ,which is what she wears after giving drink to husband, we igbos we wear a lot of beads , but not as much as Edo people, the edo people wear beads all over their body even their feets, those beads the bride is wearing are igbo beads not edo beads. Its just a ceremony though, eventually she will dress like an igbo married woman with her two wrappers and scarf, thats the main attire once she changes the bead wear.

    • @_osame8645

Edo people wear red for traditional weddings and red beads, also what her bride maids are wearing are worn in edo traditional weddings. Igbos don't wear this, I know because I have attended a lot of Igbos weddings.
