Thank you all for watching. I personally think this is a good think. Let's put it to the audio test though. Comment your thoughts!
Any more leads on this Archie?
@@kennethgithinji5631 Yes, it's actually arriving tomorrow. Let's see what happens 👏🏾
@@archiebeatz Please do. It is a unit that many would be interested in
Your Coat is Fire My Dude. the 73 pre's is pretty dope but allowing 3rd party plugins for monitoring is a really smart move. This thing is deff aimed for the traveling producer that does a tone of vocal production, always liked Heritage, like them even more now with that 3rd party plugins for monitoring move thats thinking...outside the box.
3rd Party VST DSP?
They have made the NEVE interface worthless now lol... a 73 is more desirable than a 88 also lol.
Really appreciated ins and outs and the ADAT... plus, MIDI!!! not common in a DSP interface... dam...
Well, I say dam, but this is the simple interface you'd hope was standard for decades lol
The only thing it could have done with is a insert, or inserts, for the preamp/preamps
lol yeah i saw Midi and laughed. i thought that was an amazing addition. I miss using hardware with midi. I may cop this for sure.
It looks very interesting, Im just wondering if they plan on releasing future plugins for it. I bought the Apogee Symphony Desktop which kinda has some of the same features, built in eq's and compressors, Neve style preamp emulation, but it seems like they've already decided not to develop the software for it any further . I like what Im seeing but I don't want the software side to become abandonware really quickly
It looks good and I like the idea also. Two things that will determine if it’s a success or not will be the price and AD/DA conversion.
I agree. From what I could find, it'll be a bit pricier than an APOLLO TWIN X QUAD HERITAGE around 1600$ US.
It's weird, Sweetwater says 24/192 but Heritage's website says 32/96? 32 Bit would be incredible.
We definetly need a sound comparison :)
Please review the Rupert Neve Designs Master Buss Transformer (MBT). Thanks in advance!
i wondered about the Neve 88m compared to this.
Seeing the specifications that have been shared on the networks and the little information, I can go with one thing because the components will not be of quality, if not photos of the transformer they have have already been published, they talk about 70 dbs of input gain but it is 32 bits . So here I am a bit in conflict since they have an analog preamplifier at the input with its input and output, so 70db in clean signal or maximum signal? Will there be a distortion point? How much could the signal be pushed and how much attenuated? Why don't they say that? Now let's get to the important thing, why don't they report the converters it has? What stages does this conversion take? Most interfaces say this, including the low-cost ones, and the fact that they don't say anything about it makes me wonder since we all know that the most important thing in an interface is the converters. Now the scandalous thing is that they do not include expansion of any kind in the minor prices!! Neve with its interface that doesn't sound like neve already gives you two, not one, two combined inputs and gives you expansion possibilities. I think this is going to be a fiasco knowing that we can have "Heritage style" preamps in much more economical ways. They want to sell you a dsp that can be used as a plugin of any brand but let's be realistic with today's powerful processors, almost no one is using the dsp to record only some users (UAD) and for live sound due to the use of autotune and even then We know what the deficiency of that working system is... I think they are late in the DSP race, plus it is USB 2.0, we already know that in some audio tasks the 2.0 connection has errors and I'm not just talking about the speed and the latency but because of the power itself and the connection between the machine and interface. And they don't give any information about the type of dsp and its speed.... I can see myself coming!!
Archie your videos nail it! Do you know if the i73 will recognize my UAD plugins? In other words, will my UAD Plugins populate on the i73 console in my DAW? Thanks
you were so excited about shooting the video as quick as possible, so you forgot you still wear your coat and cap :-) I'm excited too!
We know know bro! WTF? Just when I thought I was locked into a solution that will be highly flexible for me ... now this. Whoa ... "very xcited" !!
Thx for sharing. I'm on the market to buy neve or style pre. Does this have in and out Charnhill transformers?
I'm thinking of going 500 series pack. Thx again
If the plugins sound anything like their hardware(or the unison UAD stuff) going on the way in, this is an incredible upgrade to home recording. Im pretty sure UAD pitches Volt as being something similar but its clearly not this. This may have pushed UAD's hand to compete and will have made them reconsider the design for the Apollo series. Hopefully the market responds favorably because getting real UA hardware added to the Twins would be crazy.
Truth !
Bro thanks for the post! I’m really interested and would love to buy one! This is amazing!
Love the idea. But it's cheaper just to buy a 1073 pre. It's priced inappropriately, but a good idea.
At that price point its a nope for me since I can do what I need with my UAD. But definitely curious to know how it sounds.
The only way I would be interested in this if it is usb class compliant. Otherwise interfaces have a limited shelf life due to drivers, might aswell invest in an external 1073 pre amp that will last you a lifetime in my opinion.
But can you use it to record into a daw?
@XxXHardcoreshredderxXXxxxxxxxx you can do more than just record into a daw. Even use it in a live setting or recording to tape or a digital multitrack machine, even directly to an akai mpc or a korg nautilus now a days. If you are still thinking about just using a daw for the rest of your life, then any other interface will do and you ca always keep your pre amp. Interfaces come and go.
@@descargamusicalny I just want one do it all interface and the more analog the better or digital with lower latency as possible. And I'm planning on just using daws for good for now, I have guitar amps (I'm a guitarist) and my friend has other things to make live music a simple and effective possibility, so the audio interface would be more for home recording and mixing/mastering etc
This reminds me a lot of the Neve 88M interface. Still, can't have too many options, and onboard DSP and MIDI are handy.👍
Yeh, I wondered how it would compare to the 88m.
I’ve been waiting on someone to do this but they gotta have the carnhills thats the deal breaker
It's most likely coming
No one is paying attention to its routing capabilities. I’m glad I waited to upgrade my interface. This thing is ideal. Priced appropriately for what you get.
Oh that’s going to be dope
Heads up though... what will you do if it breaks? ruclips.net/video/XwvD9jaVwu8/видео.html
does anyone know if they can bypass the pre amp? for people already have a 1073 or other pre amps.
Definitely a cool product. Would certainly be interesting to compare it directly to the Neve interface they released couple years ago.
I love my Heritage audio ram monitor mixer, it has one quirk, no power switch, I solved that. At least it has a built in transformer. Now his latest stuff uses a cheap and nasty DC input, WHY?... since you have connections, seriously, ask :). Thanks.
😯bro you got a lot of great gear, do you still get excited about this type of hardware?🤔
Sounds like its competition for Universal Audio Apollo Volt, and the features might be different, but the connectivity sounds similar. I guess the real test will be to see what it sounds like and that will separate this from the rest of companies who produce a portable interface. Price is always a factor, and everybody want more for their money today.
Yes it looks intriguing although I am quite happy with my current setup. Modern interfaces and vst's are a dream come true.
Yea but how’s the conversion and can you drive the input for the saturation?🤔 will the conversion be clean or will there be some nice saturation? So many questions 😂
Definitely sounds interesting. However, don't like the look of it.... it's not an inspiring design.
first of all, why you sittin IN a studio, AT a desk, with a overcoat on?
I got the heads up yesterday…. I’m kind of interested in this due to me being a mobile engineer and wanting the Neve sound!!!!
Thank you Archie!
You are welcome!
Cool could u use this just as a preamp and not an interface ?
A big part of the 73 sound are the carnhill transformers and power has alot to do with that. If the unit is completely bus powered it doesnt make sense that it will be directly comparable to a standalone unit. Also Neves interface makes more sense what if i want access to the pres and not the interface? This unit is a little weird.
not bus powered
FINALLY!!! Someone put 1073 preamps INTO AN INTERFACE! The only other interface that has this type of circuitry is the Burl Audio BAD8 Mothership card.
How's burl audio though? Worth it?
I'm 99% sure I'm getting one
Bro got da HULK studio shit is toooo beasty 🔥
Now this will change the game
this is pretty wild!
yes!!! 🔥🔥🔥
😳😳😳 I like this
overpriced! nope
WAY OVERPRICED!!! Just sayin'....
not even close. apollo twins were 1300 and didnt even come with built-in analog pres. all you were paying for were the DSP chips and now thats not even worth the old prices for it because the plugins are now native. This has built in 1073 pres. the thought of that is mental. this means that you can essentially bypass needing to get an outboard pre(i have a avalon 737) and just go straight to getting a compressor. and im sure they did this to streamline their products because they have a cl1b equivalent. 1500 for an audio interface that is ALSO an emulation neve mic/instrument preamp is an insane value. if UAD had done it they would have charged 2500
I wonder how it compares in sound to the Neve 88m?
u cant use 3rd part plugins ..this is pretty much a uad apollo x ...besides im all ready into the uad eco system im not going back into that rabbit hole im just now getting native plugins im sorry this a hard pass
Where did you see that it can't use 3rd party plugins?
their website literally says you can insert 3rd party plugins for real time monitoring on both aux channels
@@mikeillgaming4224 you can use 3rd party plugins as an insert on both aux channels for real time recording and monitoring...even the UAD native plugins!
when will you test ?
COPING
not theor strength! they cannot do digital audio - stick to what you know.
