- In this video, we will explore how to use SEMRush with ChatGPT to generate content ideas. In our recent video, we discovered how to create calculator websites that generate traffic, and today, we will leverage data insights from Semrush and pairing with ChatGPT to come up with content ideas for an existing website.

There also were more than enough ads for us to take a look at that.

To understand the content strategy of sportcalculators.com, we examine its competitors.
Some competitors include Bowling Genius and Bike Calculator. Navigating the competitive positioning map, we gain insights into what these competitors offer. Bikecalculator.com, for instance, excels in bike-related calculators like cycling calculator.
By exploring the competitor websites, we uncover similarities in concepts and interactivity, indicating shared patterns.

We request ChatGPT to generate longform content ideas to build out the topical authority of your website in a table, including different factors of consideration such as keywords to target potential traffic, and an overall description of the content you'd place on the page.
Taking all the considerations, here you can see ChatGPT is giving us some results based on the information gathered.
And now you can start to see here 10 content ideas to help you build out the topical authority of your site.
4:43 - Asking ChatGPT to come up with more content ideas
With the earlier ideas, we request ChatGPT to come up with topics that can be interlinked with each of those 10 ideas.

Here we are asking ChatGPT to come up with some different ideas like longtail phrases and then we continue to refine our prompts until we get our desired results. We can then feed the data into Semrush Keyword Research Tool.

This process allows us to analyze the intent behind the keywords ChatGPT generated and refine them further.
Sometimes you need to work through the long tail phrase to see exactly what the sort of intent is.
8:29 - Feeding the data from Semrush to ChatGPT
Here we ask ChatGPT to come up with 10 longform content ideas that are interesting based off of considerations for keyword difficulty, volume, and number of results. After reprompting ChatGPT, it came up with a table format with a description of what to cover in the article idea.
10:39 - Exploring Semrush Keyword Magic Tool
Here we use Keyword Magic Tool to analyze exactly what are opportunities out there. And then we ask ChatGPT to come up with some longform ideas to then create content to link back to the calculator that I'd build with the help of ChatGPT.

Great video! Tinkering with this a bit and have created an article from the long-form content idea that includes the keywords chosen. My question is how are you implementing the content afterwards? Blog posts that point to a main page on the website? Are you using this content to build a page on the website vs a blog post? Trying to find your perspective on implementation once the content is ready to rock. Thanks for making these! Much appreciated.
You could go either way! Most of the time it's blog posts linking to a signup conversion page though I.e. trial or demo

You need to start thinking like a prompt engineer and quit using words like "please" in your prompts. And you should learn to write content by answering users' questions in order to develop your content. You missed the boat. If you're going to use ChatGPT to develop content that attracts buyers or users, you must become a prompt engineer and start thinking like the end user. You didn't go far enough.
