Sorry about the vague location! In this video we were just north of the point at 43. This past weekend we caught a lot of nice whiting 1 lb + at 38 just south of Avon. I’d recommend lighter gear all around! Lighter rod, smaller hooks, weights, etc. And hold your rod, you’re probably missing many bites from little fish
In this video we are using 8-9 ft rods with 15 pound test while using bottom rigs targeting smaller fish. We also have 12 ft rods set up throwing drum rigs that we didn’t have any luck on. These had 20 pound test with 40 pound leader.
@@outcastfishin lil more specific would be good, hatteras island includes a lot of areas... avon, buxton, frisco, hatteras village..... and so on. Ramp numbers would be nice.. Like the channel! Good fishing!

What kind of rods and line yall using ? I plan on surf fishing soon
