  • Today we get the river all to ourselves with big cutties eating foam hoppers fly fishing the Teton River.
Today I'm fly fishing the Teton River in eastern Idaho. It's a fantastic stretch of water. It's wilderness, but it's accessible. There are two main floats on the canyon stretch of the Teton. One of the stretches you have to get a raft down the mountainside including a drop off a short cliff. I will be showing you that section including dropping the raft coming up.
The other section which we are fishing today is more easily accessible. It's still incredibly remote, so you don't see any other boats.
Today I'm fishing with my good friend Mike Dawes from WorldCast Anglers. We'll be throwing foam dry flies all day long. And I'll tell you about a new bug that I'm using that I developed just before this trip. Stay tuned for that. I will also tell you about the techniques that we're using and which drift we are on later on this video.

I love that stretch! I'm a born and raised east Idaho dude. Hopefully your guide had more of a personality than what the video showed...a fun guide is a good one!

Im doing a salmonfly roadtrip with multi day floats/camping from may- end of june heading east from oregon snd ending in Colorado. Im seriously considering adding the Teton to my list of DIY Float trips. How sketchy would you say this section of river is for a solo float in a packraft? Thanks awesome video!

Rafts are cool for remote rivers and easy hauling. Dries all day. Didn't get a single nymph wet!
