They should have kept the full glass and change the frame bring the pivots in the middle to and down that will be neat two way entry. The next will be sliding also an option
I hear your pain and frustration. Why should you pay for their mistake. Some of these artisans in ghana or Africa do not think through before doing a project .
I don't see (technically) how dividing the glass could have solved the issue. Like they noticed, the pivot system is really the issue. It is not strong enough to hold the frame holding the glass. Adding more profile (extra weight to solve a weight bearing issue --- the math is not mathing for me) was silly for them to start with. That is a problem with our artisans - they do not think issues through before starting to fix the problem. I am sorry for your pain, Elvis.
Could it also be because of the kind of hinge used? I say get the hinge from somewhere or outside and let them make it a straight glass as you wanted it to be. Settling makes the artisans too comfortable to NOT want to improve with things they’ve never done before. If I need it, we will have to search high and low to find it and use it. Sometimes you gotta stand your grounds and be the elephant with its back to wall for the elephant fight
Local artisans never learn or do more research they always use their outmoded theories to deal with any issue…i messed up by allowing them get away with this hmm.
@@ElvisBenson ; it is painful when things like this happen but guess what? You won't recommend them to a soul; their loss ultimately. You lost one door, they lost potentially 10s of customers from your RUclips space
@@ElvisBenson The builder installed a different color tile in the bathrooms on the 2nd floor. We had agreed on a color earlier, but he installed a different color.
I think it is high time we started demanding what we paid for. Artisans get away with "Fa nu sah" mentality we have in Ghana and that needs to stop. You mess it up, you should fix it.
@@ElvisBenson; unfortunately, that is the reason why I am getting my finishing stuff done in China. Ghana artisan will say "I can do it" and then mess it up, the factory that worked on my pivot door and the window factories I am dealing with in China started the process with designs. sorry my brother for all that has happened i think if it were me i would have insisted they deliver as you requested as remember you the customer has paid for it and you have your request. This is the problem i have with local artisans
10mm frameless, the only solution. I’m sure you’ve paid a wrong money sorry gee. Did 10mm frameless for all my bathroom doors and living area door like yours and they are more than fine.
@@ElvisBenson such a disgrace, the 10mm flameless and this I believe is the same price. Did the maths. I am grateful though that you are sharing your mistakes with us.. bless you brother.

I really understand you 100%, cos I’m into construction too! I share similar sentiments bro!! It’s well
some artisans world make you regret
Just go in for 8mm or 10mm frame less tempered glass door. That will give u exactly the vibe u want. 'Fa eka to eka so'
😀😀 meko p3 sika aba😀
Thanks for sharing this experience. Will serve as a great experience for everyone who is now doing his/her project
very true.

hmm when you don’t use their services too someone somewhere who don’t know anything about building would say “support local business”
Let them reduce the height of the door to about less than quarter of an inch
Sorry for that bro
Great 👍
Can you do a video on the different types of air conditioners in Ghana? Thank you

They never learn ooo and they are never ready to accept their wrong doings hmm…)man Ghana.
@@ElvisBenson; until you and I start holding them accountable, they won't.

I think the tile is not leveled
I know exactly what you are talking about...but my problem is with floor tiles for my building...its a long story.😭
oh what’s the problem…

Bro what type of frame did they use it is KS 50 or Normal italia
i don’t really remember but i’m sure it is ks-50

When you start to be hard on them then they leave the work undone and go…eeeii as if they are doing it for you for free oo.

But why do u have to take it like that after u have paid them mennn
Heeeeerrrrr sorry bro

hmm local artisans if we use companies tooo someone will say you don’t support local business.
Do that for me and you will not get paid.
THE GHANAIAN ARTISANS DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY DOING BUT THEY WILL ABOUT THEIR SKILL
they are never ready to learn more on their job
There should not be a door at that entrance is good to leave it open
i get what you are saying but the space is two one is left opened and the other one has the glass door.
Use a Polish wooden frame that's is better and appealing
Good question ❓ Why must you pay for their mistake ? They do not care oh !
hmm if you don’t give them the money the job would be left undone.

i think i should have gone for the frameless…. funny how that was what i paid for in the early stage and they ended up bringing this frame type😂
@@ElvisBenson; see what I said in a previous comment above? "I can do it" without design.
