Jonathan was always crazy strong even before Hamon. Back when Dio unintentionally turned a guy into a vampire, he said that the vampire dislocated his shoulder with just a tap. During his fight with vampire Dio in the mansion, Jonathan was kneed in the gut and then had his arms held tight while partly on fire. Even with what should have resulted in an entire broken ribcage, the guy won and all he got was one broken arm. The dude is a fucking legend.
People forget that Jonathan was quite resourceful and clever during fights. Sure Joseph was cunning and smart too but people believe Jonathan was not a strategic fighter.
BigFire I don’t know, being clever doesn’t automatically turn a fight unfair, especially if they have their weapons (Pluck & Clacker Balls). But in a straight muscle to muscle fight, like arm wrestling or if they just take turns hitting each other in the chest til one gives up, Jonathan would have the upper hand. Edit: If Hamon is used in the fight, Joseph would have the advantage in finesse and mastery and Jonathan would have the advantage in pure power.
@@CedonZarJonathan is an instant expert of Ripple and probably the most powerful practitioner of it. Like I said, Joseph doesn't believe in fighting fair, Jonathan does. If they both toe the line and trade punches like those old school boxing match, Joseph will lose. But that's not how most fight is constructed as.
I think it's easier to relate resourcefulness and cleverness to joseph because he wasn't as powerful as johnathon. Joseph had to rely on outsmarting his enemies.

He doesn't have superhuman strength, he's just near the limit of human strength. Simon has a consecrated whip that is extremely effective against undead/demons, other holy weapons, and is far above standard human ability as it's vaguely mentioned Belmonts have some kind of power beyond normal people. I'd say it's a pretty close match.

Someone comparing Castlevania to JoJo was the final push to get me to check out JoJo. I don't watch much anime anymore, but my gawd is JoJo amongst my all-time favorite anime now.
@@Stanpai In Rondo of Blood he even has a speech about rejecting humanity and power being the only true measure of good vs evil. That game came out after Phantom Blood, so it was quite likely a return reference. At this point, jojo and castlevania are constantly referencing each other and I love it
Imagine Simon Belmont teaming up with Johnathan Joestar. Johnathan teaching Hamon to Simon, Simon teaching Johnathan how to use a whip. That would be utterly epic.
Should've mentioned how Jonathan snapped that steel collar that even Tarkus couldn't. And Tarkus was stupidly strong, he lifted a giant rock with Jonathan on it that was bigger than him with a single finger and destroyed the entire side of a cliff easily. He also wielded a stupidly gigantic sword with little to no effort. To think that Jonathan snapped that with pure strenght, no hamon, is honestly jaw-dropping.
Every single Belmont is stronger than their predecessor too...Julius Belmont in the year 1999 at the age of 19 who could cause nationwide and planetwide destruction if he really wanted to with his Grand Cross attack still couldn't permanently kill Dracula at the absolute height of his power, instead with the help of the Belnades and Hakuba clans(the Hakubas are a powerful family of Japanese priests with magic that could control gods) as well as Alucard(who had been preparing the world for Dracula's prophesied final resurrection in 1999 for centuries after awakening from his centuries long slumber to assist in killing Dracula a second time in 1797) they were able to merely seal his castle away in a solar eclipse thus cutting him off from our dimension and technically killing him only for his soul and powers to live on in the form of a kid named Soma Cruz that was born in about 2017-2018 whose visit to the Hakuba shrine in the year 2035 reawakened Dracula's Castle from out of the eclipse and forced Soma to confront the soul of Dracula within himself by finding and destroying the core of chaos(a 3rd dimensional construct of the concept of chaos itself and the source of Dracula's powers) at the heart of Castlevania in order to permanently destroy it and avoid turning into the Dark Lord Dracula, which was something only Dracula himself could access. @@Stanpai Just wanted to ask you did say the Ripple has healing properties but wouldn't one possible downfall for Jonathan be that at any point if he is damaged in such a way that he can no longer properly produce Ripple by breathing or its power is lowered as a result of injury it would put him out of the fight against Dracula's Castle? And I think if you put him up against more famous incarnations of Dracula like that of Symphony of the Night he would be hard pressed to not be inflicted with any wounds so he can properly maintain his strongest Ripple.
@@Phanxify Dracula and the Belmonts get more powerful with each generation. I would not put Jonathan into SotN because that's a mismatch. Yes, you're correct. If he is wounded in a certain way, he would be unable to use his hamon anymore, however the only time he ever sustained such an injury was because of a laser sneak attack. When his arm was broken, Zeppeli healed it in a single blow.
@@Stanpai I understand the 1st part but I would say that Simon's Quest against Dracula differed also maybe because of limitations of the console or simply not making Dracula who he is now. His ability to open his cape and shoot three Hellfire projectiles being one such along with teleporting to each side of the arena is very iconic to the character along with his only real weakspot being his head as attacks against his body do nothing. Maybe I am underestimating Jonathan but his body seems similar to what one would expect of a Belmont that has hunted Dracula and unlike the Belmonts his power is fueled by his own life condition and Dracula can survive numerous blows from the Vampire Killer a weapon designed to kill him with the utmost power and possibly the same can be said of the Ripple which unlike a whip puts his body in harms way. I'm not quite sure he can handle Death or Dracula since even though the Ripple can kill undead in one hit the same can be said of the Vampire Killer which deals increased damage to any unholy being. I would think rather that if Jonathan had a Stand along with Ripple he would stand more of a chance. I'm not sure I just feel compared to the Vampire Killer, the Ripple is too much of a double edged sword for one to enter Dracula's Castle as a singular method to destroy any in his way so I would conclude with yes Jonathan could possibly survive Castlevania but his survival rate is lower then a Belmont.
It's kinda ironic that Jotaro who is considered "the strongest JoJo" by Araki, might possibly be unable to beat Castlevania because he doesn't have Hamon like his Great Great/Grandfatger.

@@rodrigoisrael9891 no, it wasnt so much because jojo and dio grew up together, but that jojo continuously obsteucted dios plans, pushing beyond human limits while doing so. @@HovektheArtist Correct, but their youth and life together contributed to that. That's where they both saw the other continuously one-upping each other, and where Dio came to respect Jojo's explosive drive. Dio also mentioned that he felt an attachment to Jojo over the years at their fight in the castle, and he designed to fight Jojo at the graveyard because he didn't actually want to see him die. And of course, Jojo loved Dio, despite the vengeful rage he had towards him (which Jojo was ashamed of). Regardless, neither of them ever stopped trying to kill the other after the fight at the mansion.
Im not well versed in rom hacks but itd probably have to be remade from the ground up to accommodate hamon as a basic mechanic, likely as snes rom or higher so itd be better able to run with these different ideas. Especially the sendo hamon and environmental manipulation Jonathan would have to do

Ooo lore arguments! Okay, so the big stickler "Can sunlight kill Dracula in Castlevania?" The answer is "Noooo, but In this particular instance it might as well be counted as a kill" Because this question details the very specific choice of the first Castlevania. Due to a chronology I can only describe as "half-assed", Castlevania is technically the fifth game in the timeline. At this point of the timeline the Dracula has died no less than twice, and this is kind of important. In his original body, the ONLY thing that could possibly kill Dracula was the vampire killer. A divine, alchemical whip imbued with the soul of a sacrificed loved one, and the product of decades of research. Sunlight, weapons, god's own divine wrath would not even graze him. Even then, Dracula figured out some serious loopholes in mortality by controlling Death. Dracula would be resurrected but heavily limited in his power depending on the sacrifice used to revive him, or failing that whenever his bullshit physics defying castle accrued enough evil power to allow him to manifest. So long as his Castle "exists", he controlled death and could be resurrected. While I'd normally raise contention in that "Super Castlevania 4" is just a non-canon retelling of "Castlevania". And Portrait of Ruin's Dracula is in a weird form due to melding bodies with death. It doesn't... actually matter. The Dracula Simon faces is incredibly weak compared to most of his resurrections. Dracula had been resurrected by a sacrifice, not his castle. Nor did he have access to his corpse. Arguably Simon didn't even need the vampire killer to defeat him, an axe to the face would have worked just fine. So the same goes for Jonathan's efforts. However without destroying the castle, Dracula will rise again. But I guess Dio's head made it out too so... meh?
The reasons you listed are specifically why I went with Castlevania 1. Later incarnations of Dracula are way too powerful. In relation to Death, you do defeat death before fighting Dracula so there's that angle of not having Death's blessing by the time you face Drac.
i just one thing to say about the time line ifanyone thinks castlevania time is messed up trying looking up the loz timeline that thing is so out of wack im surprised it still exists with the three branches it took
Lmao If Dracula is the sort of boasting villain he'll die a good number of times before laughing and telling Jonathan he can't die because his castle is too strong. Then Jonathan proceeds to knock down he whole thing.
@@zacharymcleod8050 And that is ignoring how BotW implies that the three timelines fused together, effectively implying that all three timelines somehow went into the same direction
By the sun above us how did I not see that before! Though if you consider the time period of the games, perhaps the Joestars are infact descendants of the Belmont clan!
@@LostInTheInternet93 Except the games come through the 20th and into the 21st century. The creators regretted making the timeline for that reason, since it limited their choices on when they take place, since Dracula keeps to a tight schedule when resurrecting (most of the time)
I was always sad that Hamon got left behind after part 2 and only seen in the most minimal of uses by one of it's greatest masters, Joseph Joestar..he came up with so many off the wall uses for it that to see him barely use it once he's older and has a Stand is more than a little sad..and after 3 Hamon is just gone completely. Also I'm fairly sure the guys who made the Phantom Blood anime were well aware of the comparisons between Jojo part 1 and Castlevania given how in the intro you have Jonathan charging up a long flight of red carpeted stairs toward the vampire sitting on a throne..also let's not forget that the Stone Mask itself HAS shown up in the Castlevania series as a nod to Jojo.
The Bird issue with using kars as an example is he was so far beyond a human in ability he could do basically what the fuck ever with hamon. A human, even as skilled as jonathan or joseph, simply could not compete. Its the literal embodiment of perfect hitting you with energy compared to a random dude whos just really naturally good with it. Kars is the only creature to ever exist that could use hamon to melt people. It otherwise would heal people. In short, Kars is fucking broken and literally unkillable.
Eh..that's his first game, now he's seen more commonly with a long blue waistcoat with a cross on the back..in fact it wasn't just the PSP remake of Rondo that had that coat but in the Sega Saturn version of Symphony you could have him wearing the coat from the cutscenes..sad we never got that cause that's a cool coat.
I really like this video, not just because of the analysis, but because I can really see the passion behind it. You clearly put your heart into making this and it shows in both the work you did researching this stuff and your honest tone you have whenever you talk about Jonathan. Great work, man! ouo)b
Thank you so much. You're right. Even though I've been through Phantom Blood so many times, every single time I come through it again I am brought to tears. Jonathan is so precious to me, a picture of what people should aspire to be. I believe in Jonathan Joestar, and I will always carry him in my memories as a reminder of what good people can be, even if he only exists in the pages of fiction.
One thing you didn’t mention during the axe throwers is that Jonathan took speedwagons hat blades full force. He can take at least one or two axes without that many issues
Please do "Could Joseph Joestar survive Castlevania?" But his younger self, with Hermit Purple, since its a whip stand, technically. Please? I mean, he also uses a regular whip, and he did actually have Hermit Purple in his younger years, but he didnt know. Araki confirmed it by saying: "If Jotaro and the gang traveled to the past, they would see Hermit Purple wrapped all around Young Joseph."
Maybe someday. I'd really like to see the source on that Araki quote for my own references later. This video was a heavy workload so depending on views and if it was worth the investment I might make more like it.
@@SocraticMayhem OF COURSE HE DID But I can at least independently confirm that he said this, even if I cannot find a source. I've seen this SOMEWHERE before.
@@theherobrine2049 There are alot of Jojo references in Castlevania. I think I remember there being a knife throwing vampire with the ability to stop time in one of the games. Clearly a reference to Part 3 DIO
This very video is the reason i even considered watching Jojo. before i was skeptic. I was hooked onto jonathan and was sad when he didnt continue after ep 9 and only has vague mentions in part 2 to 4. i got over it though. Joseph is amazing
Jonathan Joestar I was sad about it too, but the legacy he left is remarkable, and part 2/3 really drive home the fact that his death being the catalyst for all of this...is a fair sacrifice imo Plus he went out like a legend
How's this for a comparison: Both series (jo)star a familial lineage who swore to hunt down a vampire, who personally wronged an older generation of said lineage by killing one of their loved ones and "rejecting their humanity" by transforming into a vampire. The Jostar line hunts down DIO, Jonathan Jostar's adopted brother who killed their father, over the course of 5 generations. The Belmont clan hunts down Dracula, Leon Belmont's good friend who betrayed him by killing his wife, over a *long* ass time. On top of this, there have been many Jojo references in Castlevania games: Aria of Sorrow: -One of your R-Souls yells "ORA ORA ORA!" as he pummels the enemy. -Time stop comes complete with background color changes Dawn of Sorrow: -Valkyrie soul just screams Polnareff (not literally, of course) -Zephyr looks somewhat like Dio, throws knives, and stops time Order of Ecclesia: -Goliath, one of the bosses, starts one of his attacks by marching towards Shanoa. If you do not successfully avoid it, he will begin pummeling you with punches in a manner that looks very similar to Star Platinum's own punches.
Johnathan could use hamon against Medusa with how Kars used it to melt Joseph's knee. Probably not on the same power level to negatively affect non-zombies but it's a thought that popped up
@@BardockSkywalker It can hurt, Caesar and Joseph have used it in infighting, but creatures of the night get hurt far, far more easily from the Ripple.
Considering he can take super human levels of damage and can punch things like a speeding freight train, Johnathan would pulverize his way through and he doesn't even need wall chickens to heal he can do so with hamon energy. He could literally punch down Dracs. castle if it wasn't against his style. The ripple is amped up enough can also melt normal people too.
Catshow no. I dont remember exactly where i read it but regular people can only take little bits of hamon. Those who arent trained, if imbued with too much hamon. Can die
Regarding flea-men: “[Jonathan] can just run away.” Anybody else immediately think of the “nigerundayo~!” meme? (Yes, that was Joseph’s line and not Jonathan’s, but still!)
Isn’t it implied that Medusa IS undead in Castlevania? She is a disembodied head, implying she was successfully killed in greek lore. Hamon would probably effect her. Also, how do we know “monsters” would be unaffected anyway? The Pillar Men aren’t undead, yet are effected by Hamon. Even Jospeh, a living human, was injured by sufficiently powerful Hamon energy. So at the very least, it would vastly improve the damage a human can inflict upon anything.
Many of the monsters don't have stuff to be affected by beyond the Hamon making the punch stronger. With Suzie Q, we saw that Hamon could go as far as disrupt organs which is why it even required them using Hamon in such a delicate way, but I doubt many of these people even care about Organs. Then there's the fact that Kars' Hamon was pointed out as literal hundreds of times more powerful than Joseph's Hamon.
Unless im confused Hamon doesn't effect vampires because they're undead, it's specifically because vampires are killed by sunlight. Pillar men are very much alive but just weak to sunlight so are then weak to hamon. So since Medusa isn't weak to sunlight hamon should effect her like a person which its still deadly against if it's sufficiently powerful so Jonathan should still be good anyway
@LonelyLoser The Pillar Men are living beings like any other, they aren't vampires. They don't even suck blood, they consume entire organisms just as you eat pork. And they had immensely long lifespans, but not immortality. They were still effected by the sun. Even Dracula is only shown "affected" by the Sun twice, and both times happen after you've pretty much beaten his ass black and blue.
Thanks for doing something creative to my favorite but underrated joestar, i was pretty aware he could survive an environment like castlevannia but i was pleased and interestednin the details you explained on how he would conquer battles and situations he would come across.
I think Jonathan would get hit by at least 3 axes in stage 5 and not even feel any pain (let's remember his descendant got his shoulder sliced off by a cargo ship turbine and didn't even blink), and then use the axes as new throwable hamon infused weapons
Dalton Filho let’s also remember that when fighting the Ogre Street Gang, Jonathan got cut right to the bone by Speedwagons hat, and it still didn’t slow him down one bit.

Stanpai Perhaps Simon enters Dracula’s mirror to enter the JoJo universe into the future? There, Simon must defeat Dio to travel back home, I think. So basically, Simon fights Jack the Ripper with his whip, same with that Male-dusa and his snakes. I guess holy water can work on the zombies, so Tarkus and Blueford can be defeated, assuming the whip can tear through Blueford’s hair. As for Tarkus’ chamber, Simon would probably pass with ease. Simon can use the cross, whip, and holy water along the way to defeat more hordes of human headed-dog zombies and vampires. By the time he reaches Dio’s throne room and the balcony, Simon can perhaps use the whip unless Dio can heal fast enough, since I don’t think Dio’s like the same kind of Vampire as Dracula (Dio became a Pillar Men’s slave, which aren’t evil beings that God forbid to exist). Dio’s fight would be the hardest, assuming the holy water and even the cross isn’t effective. I think Dio broke a crucifix with his bare hand with ease, so maybe that’s out of the picture. Also, dio can regenerate. I’m really tired and I wanted to give you some ideas, I may have thrown out too much for it to be fair, but sorry! I just like this idea and got too passionate, so sorry for pulling a Jonathan.
@@Samstar369 Not being a demonic being doesn't suddenly mean Dio would be unfazed by Simon's magic, or the Vampire Killer. Many of the enemies the Vampire killer is so powerful against aren't even Undead, and the only time Holy is shown being wholly ineffective is against someone like the Belmont. That aside, Simon can still send fireballs with his whip, imbue his punches with holy energy, or diffuse said energy along his whip to boost it further, bind people on his whip... that's a lot of options while keeping the range advantage. This is disregarding the ability to stop time, the fact his knives, axes, crosses and spinning bibles can hurt people comparable to himself, his Holy Water exploding into powerful Holy Fire... To make things worse, you get a set of equipment in Harmony of Dissonance that's inherited, and was likely used by, Simon. All of these augment stats (and don't play the "gameplay feature" angle, magic is pretty damn widespread in Castlevania and I don't personally see the issue with it being used to strengthen someone), give him resistance to thinks like Blunt, Slashing and Piercing attacks and *Ice* which... if you know Dio, that means a lot of bad things for him. Everyone up to Dio is getting soundly and terribly trashed, and Dio isn't gonna fare too much better.
This is a pretty late comment and while I do sorta want Jonathan to win - I wonder if he actually could. Every fight dracula has lost has either been because he was holding back against alucard to some extent or because of the vampire killer whip's special properties. Something to consider is that Shanoa wasn't able to defeat dracula despite the fact she weilds powerful light magic and combat ability. Spoilers to the end of Order of Ecclesia but she fights well enough but can't outright kill dracula or overpower his immortality with her holy attacks alone - she ends up using dracula's own power to overcome him and it takes her brother's soul as the price to even use that power. Maybe Jonathan's ridiculous powers could overcome it but I don't think the power of sunlight alone necessarily works. It's only ever been shown having any effect on an extremely weakened already defeated dracula.
@@nathanmontgomery1516 Could Draulca beat the Pillar men? I want to say yes. But these guys are basically taking every fight easy til they fight Joseph. @@doctorwho3708 I think you are underestimating Dracula, he is not simply a mere vampire. Dracula holds the power of Chaos, the literal personification of evil and opposite of God. @@bossviper2833 If he couldn't kill Ultimate Kars in a singular blow then any abilities he'd throw at him would've been added to his arsenal via his bodies natural seamless adaption (This is how Kars gained and became immune to hamon). That "unwavering resolve" is a very staple Joestar trait, one you see demonstrated by a lot of protagonists. In particular, Giorno in part 5 was willing to do some pretty shady stuff for the sake of his dreams, and most notably IMO, Johnny in part 7 was fully prepared to shoot someone, even when his more hardened and older partner, Gyro, was against it. It's a "Dark Will," one represented often by a literal black fire burning in the Joestar member's eyes.

People forget that Jonathan was quite resourceful and clever during fights. Sure Joseph was cunning and smart too but people believe Jonathan was not a strategic fighter.
In a straight up toe the line fight, Jonathan would beat Joseph to a pulp. But Joseph doesn't fight fair if he could help it.
BigFire
I don’t know, being clever doesn’t automatically turn a fight unfair, especially if they have their weapons (Pluck & Clacker Balls).

@@HovektheArtist Correct, but their youth and life together contributed to that.

Proper Belmont strut. That's all the evidence I need.
WOKE
I AM NOW WOKE
HOW DID I NEVER NOTICE THAT!?
Him climbing the stairs in the opening is the most Castlevania thing in the world.
By the sun above us how did I not see that before! Though if you consider the time period of the games, perhaps the Joestars are infact descendants of the Belmont clan!
@@LostInTheInternet93 Except the games come through the 20th and into the 21st century. The creators regretted making the timeline for that reason, since it limited their choices on when they take place, since Dracula keeps to a tight schedule when resurrecting (most of the time)
Stampai: can Jonathan joestar survive castlevania?
Jojo: HAMON OVERDRIVE
CROSS THUNDER SPLIT ATTACK
Wait, someone else who likes Jonathan? I thought I was literally the only one tbh. Everyone else hates him for some shit reason.
That's just it- shit reasons. Namely, their taste.
Youre not the only one i like jonathan as well
They're Actually people who liked Part 3 jotaro ( I only like him from part 4 onward )
Yusuke Kitagawa I like every jojo...
Except part 8, mainly cause I havent read it yet
I don't think anyone hates Johnathan. He's just not the best Jojo
It's mostly because hamon isn't that powerful against a stand user, but yeah, Jonathan should have used hamon more. It's still somewhat useful!
@@li_ka2 I'd like to argue that Kars used hamon and it could literally incinerate people, like the sun. Stand that empowers hamon maybe?
The Bird that is literally hermit purple, joseph used it a few times to conduct hamon throughout it
The Bird issue with using kars as an example is he was so far beyond a human in ability he could do basically what the fuck ever with hamon.
ShinKyuubi he still uses hamon a few times in part 3
Jonathan:*enters Castel*
Dracula:Why do i hear boss music
Richter is blue and doesn't have sleeves. He's totally Jonathan.
I literally main simon in smash because he's the closest thing I'll ever get to jonathan in smash.
How about Richter?
That's absolutely awesome. I also main Simon. Little Mac is the star Platinum. Miis are also valid
Dio skin bowser

Yet he missed important stuff in the Castlevania side, then again.
One thing you didn’t mention during the axe throwers is that Jonathan took speedwagons hat blades full force. He can take at least one or two axes without that many issues
Jonathan died on a boat, but yet he just casually clowned on vampires with some *bizarre* abilities in a castle
Just imagine you killed you're enemt . Then, going on a vacation to relax then suddenly you're enemy just surprised an and shoots you
Please do "Could Joseph Joestar survive Castlevania?" But his younger self, with Hermit Purple, since its a whip stand, technically.

How's this for a comparison:
Both series (jo)star a familial lineage who swore to hunt down a vampire, who personally wronged an older generation of said lineage by killing one of their loved ones and "rejecting their humanity" by transforming into a vampire.
The Jostar line hunts down DIO, Jonathan Jostar's adopted brother who killed their father, over the course of 5 generations.
The Belmont clan hunts down Dracula, Leon Belmont's good friend who betrayed him by killing his wife, over a *long* ass time.
On top of this, there have been many Jojo references in Castlevania games:
Aria of Sorrow:
-One of your R-Souls yells "ORA ORA ORA!" as he pummels the enemy.
-Time stop comes complete with background color changes
Dawn of Sorrow:
-Valkyrie soul just screams Polnareff (not literally, of course)
-Zephyr looks somewhat like Dio, throws knives, and stops time
Order of Ecclesia:
-Goliath, one of the bosses, starts one of his attacks by marching towards Shanoa. If you do not successfully avoid it, he will begin pummeling you with punches in a manner that looks very similar to Star Platinum's own punches.
Also, Zephyr screams "Tokiwo tomare!" when he stops time. So that's something to note
Johnathan could use hamon against Medusa with how Kars used it to melt Joseph's knee. Probably not on the same power level to negatively affect non-zombies but it's a thought that popped up
I Think Kars' Hamon Is A Little Different Than Regular Hamon, Specially Since Hamon Should *HEAL* The Living, Instead Of Hurting It
@@BardockSkywalker i don't think it is mentioned that hamon MUST heal living beings
@@BardockSkywalker It can hurt, Caesar and Joseph have used it in infighting, but creatures of the night get hurt far, far more easily from the Ripple.

writing a fake part 9 which basically is this
Considering he can take super human levels of damage and can punch things like a speeding freight train, Johnathan would pulverize his way through and he doesn't even need wall chickens to heal he can do so with hamon energy. He could literally punch down Dracs. castle if it wasn't against his style. The ripple is amped up enough can also melt normal people too.
Your talking about Kars
Hamon doesn't affect normal humans other than helping them or hypnosis
Catshow no. I dont remember exactly where i read it but regular people can only take little bits of hamon. Those who arent trained, if imbued with too much hamon. Can die
Catshow hamon can literally destroy walls made out of concrete with little no effort. And it would obliterate a normal person

Is it cuz Kars hamon was like the surface of sun rather than the light it emits?
@LonelyLoser It'll obviously vary by media, some have the undead not really caring much at all about life energy.

Thank you for watching. I have thought about it but not nearly as much as the former scenario.
THAT WOULD BE FUCKING EPIC-
Stanpai
Perhaps Simon enters Dracula’s mirror to enter the JoJo universe into the future?
Simon would probably lose to Dio. The freezing powers and laser eyes are ridiculously hard to beat.
That is sensible. I think in the long run I have to look at it like this:
Pillar man beats Vampire, Hamon in the right hands beats even a pillar man
That’s implying that Dracula is a normal vampire
@@nathanmontgomery1516 Could Draulca beat the Pillar men?
I want to say yes. But these guys are basically taking every fight easy til they fight Joseph. The same man who luck and tricks are off the charts.
I think if you add the Pillar men states and then Dracula states. It would be a close fight, but I don't see Dracula winning in a straight fight against them.
@@doctorwho3708 I think you are underestimating Dracula, he is not simply a mere vampire.
Dracula holds the power of Chaos, the literal personification of evil and opposite of God. He is able to transform, warp reality and cheat death (not the being) many times. Even if he couldn't kill Ultimate Kars, he could likely seal him away like he did with Galamoth, another god-like being.
I could be wrong as I have only seen Part 1 and 3 and that was a long time ago.
@@bossviper2833 If he couldn't kill Ultimate Kars in a singular blow then any abilities he'd throw at him would've been added to his arsenal via his bodies natural seamless adaption (This is how Kars gained and became immune to hamon). Though, I know very little of Castlevania besides the fact Dracula at peak is much stronger then this video demonstrates. I guess it depends on which version of him you use.
13:31 Jonathan: "Pardon me, on my way to defeat an evil vampire."
I think the only thing stopping Jonathan from becoming godlike and mass murdering whole nations with his strength and his ability to get the power of the sun *by simply breathing* is that he's so kind and nurturing to most things
