Winston Griffith agrueable the best jockey jamaica have ever see. He know's how to rate horse and he's a clean rider. Big up "fanna". And great wrk Mr Rohan for the memories
Another very intelligent ride by master jockey, Winston "Fanna" Griffiths, OD. Milligram seemed to have started "flying" from the 3 furlongs pole. Talk about the jockey being the almost PERFECT judge of pace and having a sound understanding of the animal's full capabilities. Excellent ride indeed.
All factors considered, Milligram was a power packed animal possessed of a big heart, brilliant speed and changed gears quickly especially down the stretch (turn of foot) when urged by big race rider, Winston "Fanna" Griffiths, OD. One of the super horses back in the day.
Dubbed "the little dynamo," Milligram was simply a cut above his age group. Fun fact: Milligram never won past a mile in A1 company. However, had the track record for a mile (1:35.0) beating Zuki King (R. Dacosta) and The Viceroy (Fanna) by a wide margin in the Dragon Mile in 1993. That day Bimbo replaced Fanna and Milligram was fitted with the visor for the very first time. Still, Bimbo fans said it was "Emilio chest" that made the difference lol because he played second fiddle to Fontainbleu twice just prior to the track record performance. He took 3/5 seconds off of the track record held by another Feanny campaigner in Knew You When (Richie Johnson up), who had bettered Secretariat's progeny Secret (1:35.4, Bimbo up with 133lbs) track record set in 1985. Milligram campaigned I believe up to age 10 and was able to remain at the top level even then. The 1:15 3/5 seconds track record performance that Eros (Fanna up) established for 6 1/2 furlongs in 1993 could be considered his as well because he was right there, too, at the wire under the urgings of Neville "Chaka Chaka" Anderson in a nail-biting finish. This, after he had defeated Eros (Joe Buchanan up) in a one-mile trophy event, with Neville Anderson in the saddle, a few weeks earlier. Milligram was a "little dynamo" indeed.
Milligram was indeed several notches above his age group...A very good middle distance horse...That 8 furlongs track record was magnificent. He Has to be given his due....but certainly not in the TOP TWENTY horses to race at Caymanas Park....Many more with more illustrious credentials
Yes he was good. But my Viceroy knows how to cool a lot of big horses, on my time in JAMAICA 🇯🇲 it was good times, Philip Phiany vs Kenny Mathis two great trainers.

Milligram was a monster I saw him come within a half a length of Eros going 6 or 6 and half furlongs no easy feat for any horse in Jamaica at the time, big big horse milligram. Kudos Rohan you keep producing the classics just like the feanny/ fanna combination. Can’t wait for the next one 💯
I remember that Wednesday by the way he catch Eros and Griffiths fine extra on Eros beaten milligram with Neville Anderson in track record time I think 1.15.3 that Wednesday afternoon neville look at Griffiths like you MF how didn't bulb you

When you talk about great jocks of all time, Fanna is number 1 for me, however that's just my view if someone leave him out of the equation fine but Bartley must be included.

I do hope that our female jockeys will be DISCIPLINED enough to take good notes on how Griffiths applied the whip sparingly, was near perfect with hand riding, and brilliantly rated his animals. Absolutely no need for EXCESSIVE WHIPPING. Jockeys like: Samantha Fletcher, Georgina Sergeon (US based), Abigail Able; Tamicka Lawrence, Natalie Berger, Melissa Ward and Andree Powell.
Rohan please find the prince consort superstakes win and the fiero , gypsy queen and prince zalair race fanny , vs Bartley and bimbo one of the best races that too God bless you Rohan

George Hosang, Emilio Rodriguez, Andrew Ramgeet and Charles Husey, thats my order for the top jockeys of 80's and onwards at Caymanas park. Winston Griffith ride the most overwhelming horse at Caymanas park. If Griffith into a pocket of horse he cannot stir that horse out of the traffic he is pulling his mount. He denied me most time with a overwhelming horse from closing my bet.
W. Griffiths cannot be the best jockey has ever ride at Caymanas park. No way he got the best horses to ride at Caymanas park. He is the i 5th position for me. Griffiths had never go anywhere to ride other than Caymanas park.
Winston Griffith agrueable the best jockey jamaica have ever see. He know's how to rate horse and he's a clean rider. Big up "fanna". And great wrk Mr Rohan for the memories
George Hosang is the greatest.
Hubert Bartley was way way better than him
