Have the 2019 Jeep Cherokee and love it. Solid on gas, feels good to drive. Downsized from the grand and had a 2011 Liberty before that. Sticking with Jeep for the longterm
We bought a 2021 Cherokee last year, and I love it! We rented a 2021 Grand Cherokee for a trip from Cleveland to Chicago and back, and it was good, but I prefer the smaller Cherokee. We previously had a 2009 Dodge Journey, and the Cherokee feels a lot like it.
I purchased a 2023 Cherokee Altitude Lux, and love it. Fun to drive, great steering, smooth ride and for $38785 got all the goodies I wanted...Navigation, adaptive cruise, rain sensing wipers, blind spot and cross traffic warning, lane keeping, 115 volt outlet, heated mirrors, heated seats and steering wheel, dual zone temperature, auto headlights and auto brights, dimming rear view mirror, push button start, keyless entry, remote start, power tail gate, the Uconnect 8.4 inch touch screen is great, and more...Just the right size for us.
Good video. I've loved the Cherokee model since it come out in 1975 .it's gone through a lot of changes since then , but every model has been solid. Big J puts the Jeep badge on for a reason. Today's Cherokee and Grand Cherokee are just as good. Solid axel is better for off road , but you feel every bump . Stock for stock the Cherokee models will go anywhere a stock Wrangler will go , we have the same 4 wheel drive t case . Wranglers can climb a little better, but we make up for it with the engine . Wranglers are big and slow referring to Jku but off road are s beast. Grand Cherokee gives you the best of both worlds, great off road and engine can be ordered up to a 6.1 . Cherokee has its advantages also , smaller wheel base, tight turn angle, compact so it goes down some small trails with out getting torn up by branches so you can go pretty much whatever you want within reason ,
Had a Dodge Journey 2011 for many years. Horrible experience with the power steering every winter. Finally got a brand new vehicle last year, q Jeep Compass- I love it. But I want to upgrade to a Grand Cherokee someday.
Looking at a new leftover 2022 Cherokee Latitude Lux with the 2.0 turbo. Yes, its a bit dated compared to the new competition, but my town only has a CDJR dealer, or Ford and Chevy. I don't care for the Ford or Chevy offerings and I don't want to have to drive 30 miles for servicing by buying another make outside my area. So Cherokee it is.
been driving VW/Audi's and looking to switch to a brand that's feature loaded & easy to get parts for. the crummy horsepower with both of these feels like a dealbreaker
@@jfish9014 s8, s6, q7, passat. pretty, zippy, fun to drive. i like them all, but i'm ready for something less nuts to maintain for the next decade +. jeeps *look* so nice! i use to think i wanted one but idk now. it'll take me ages to figure out what to go with next... not the worst problem to have though
@@nonameno8065 not at all, I’m used to BMWs 🤓. Just 3-series and 5-series. But I usually have a Grand Cherokee in the stable with them. I’d say test drive one. The 5.7 Hemi in the Grand Cherokee will have plenty of power, but very thirsty - it’s an SUV after all, so you won’t be hustling it like a sedan. I’ve had the 3.6 V6 in a Grand Cherokee as well, and didn’t think it was underpowered. I haven’t tried the Cherokee, but I’m very curious about one. If you want an SUV that CAN hustle down a winding road, try a BMW X3 with the 6-cylinder, or maybe the Audi SQ5. I chose the Grand Cherokee because of the style, power, luxury, and light off roading - they drive rather large on the road, and aren’t sporty, but I have sporty sedans to scratch that itch when I want. If I had to stick with only one vehicle, I’d be buying the X3 M40i. Edit - not sure if Jeep brand will be MORE reliable. People complain about their reliability, but I’ve had good experiences with my 1995 5.2 V8, 2004 4.7 V8 (engine replaced under warranty) and 2014 3.6 V6 Grand Cherokees. My 1987, 1997, and 2006 BMWs were equally reliable. My friend has had an A8 for the last 8 years and hasn’t had any major problems, and my aunt has a 7 year old A3 that just recently had a $6k repair - but otherwise they both love them and will stick with the Audi brand 🤷🏻
I like carmax reviews they tend to be more positive. Most of the reviewers on RUclips just fill your head with negative opinionated statements, and the weak minded can’t have their own….

I bought the Cherokee Trailhawk with all of the options so I got the luxury feel of the Grand Cherokee without the extra size which I don't need

Just picked up a '21 Cherokee Latitude Lux, and WOW, its a sweet sweet ride! 3.2L v6 is fun, and gets amazing fuel milage.

The V6 does just fine it’s plenty fun. Obviously the V8s a lot more fun but the V6 is way more fun than the 2.4l 4 banger.
FYI: Stellantis is know for their capability not for their reliability. But their vehicles are nice tho.

grand. for sure, the extra space is practical. the regular cherokee's just a city suv at best. my opinion stands.
