    This lesson itself reminds me of one Miley Cyrus' songs that says: "I can buy myself flowers, write my name in the sand, talk to myself for hours, say things you don't understand, I can take myself dancing, and I can hold my own hand..."
    Thanks for sharing this tremendous lesson, I get a better understanding of reflexive pronouns now. Thanks!

      I love the connection you're making! It's important to have a good relationship with oneself, right? Then we can build better relationships with others.
      Thanks for sharing.

    As if I hadn't enough homework😈:
    1. Yes, I can
    2. Yes, sometimes I do it
    3. Unfortunately, I'm too young to do it and not car savvy at all
    4. Yes, I would and I do it sometimes in order to listen to English
    5. Yes, but I happen to do it really rarely
    6. When tired especially when terribly exhausted
    7. Yeah, I would, but it's very unlikely ever to happen in the near future
    8. Many people and me too complain that it's sometimes truly hard to find the clear explanation of a phrase or a word even on the internet, and also to find such brilliant lessons like those ones made by Jennifer
    9. Yes, I did, and have been doing
    10. This one is a philosophical question and of course like the other ones depends on many circumstances. But if you ask me, I'd say, "to oneself and to one's dears" is undoubtedly more important
    Thank you very much! Another half an hour of the proper knowledge has just made my day🎉

    • @Englishwithjennifer
      @Englishwithjennifer  9 месяцев назад +1

      I love that you took on this challenge! You're soaring to new heights. :)
      3. I would just call for help! I can't do it myself.
      6. So true. When we're tired, socializing is too demanding.
      7. You never know! Maybe in the distant future.
      8. Better to say:
      Many people like me complain that...
      Many people, including me, complain that..
      Many people (and that includes me) complain that...
      OR: the new expression I gave you >> Many people, myself included, complain that...
      9. You can say, "Yes, I did and I continue to keep to myself."
      10. Yes. One can argue that kindness to oneself is a starting point. Then kindness to others is possible. Ideally, it should be a cycle: kindness flowing in, kindness flowing out.

      You're very welcome! I had things to learn and review too. In fact, I wrote two blog posts about this lesson. (Links in the video description.) I'm still learning grammar every year, and I'm trying to come to a better understanding of what's standard and what's non-standard, especially when it comes to pronouns. Take the quiz again in a week and you should ace it! I'll be posting some related shorts for review.

      Thanks for watching this long lesson. Some related shorts will be posted, a few of which would have made this lesson way too long! I also have two related blog posts that you may enjoy. The links are in the video description. I really had to think hard about some of the nuances of this topic. In fact, I'm still evolving in terms of understanding what is standard and non-standard. Glad you checked out Groundhog Day. There are several themes to explore. Hidden by the humor, the ideas are very philosophical regarding happiness, purpose, fulfilment, love, contribution, the individual. It's worth missing a little of your workday to receive such a memorable message!

      Using photography as a form of communication and self-expression is also a mix of science and art. There are all the technical aspects, but then one can be very artistic in applying everything.

    • @ArunGoyal2007
      @ArunGoyal2007 9 месяцев назад

      @@Englishwithjennifer technical aspects can be learnt, once is enough, after that it's automatic, it's like driving.. But mixing audio, visual with a themstic thread.. That's both an art and craft..
      And Jennifer esl does it so well in Shakespeare style combining theatre and poetry in a plot. .
      And does it all alone without support.. In India, there will be ten people doing all that you do.. Without the quality which will be nowhere near you!

      Thank you for the appreciation of what I try to accomplish on my own from my home office here in Massachusetts. I know I still need to gain more skill in videomaking. I'm toying with the idea of getting help with shorts. (Can't imagine handing over control of the larger lessons.) There's so little time to break the big lessons down into clips. I've done a bunch already for January, so get ready for more review and expansion.
