    Big ladder, small street,...something's gotta give on that street.

      I've heard some rumors that they may be in the very early stages of designing a new firehouse.

    Talk about a hairy turn/squeeze, that ladder truck driver has a hard job on that street. The clearance for the back of the truck as it turns out is ridiculously low too.

    I think that company needs a tiller, or at least a larger "no parking" box, truck seems to have a hard time getting through

      I've heard some rumors that they may be in the very early stages of designing a new firehouse. Until then, the no parking area is actually one of the largest I've seen in front of firehouses. Unfortunately its just a very busy street and a lot of drivers are just oblivious.

    I asked the department about the q and they said they couldn’t put it on with the way they wanted their attack lines on the bumper

    • @LowHudEmergency
      @LowHudEmergency  4 года назад +2

      Interesting. My department has a Spartan Gladiator cab and the Q is mounted in the grill. I wonder if that wasn't possible with the MetroStar.

      LowHudEmergency are you a part of Golden’s. Bridge? They have a new Rescue Pumper they got in 2017. Q is on the grille.

      Andrew Augeri my city’s new 2018 E- One Typhoon Engine they have has a surface mount Q and a full depth bumper line. They could’ve done it that way.

    No Q on new Engine 5 What a shame love the old latter truck until they take the Q off that when they get new truck

      Carroll Wynn I would’ve taken the Q off that and put it on the engine. Polish it of course.

      Yes, that is correct. That's typically what they have on duty each shift. There's also a part-time chief who responds sometimes.

    • @centralnewyorkresponses7887
      @centralnewyorkresponses7887 4 года назад

      Steven Pivornik we aren’t supposed to run blue to the front or sides but we do it anyways. Mount Kisco has blue to the front of their ladder. Where my dad works, in TULLY NY, they are Fire and EMS. Their ambulances are exactly identical, and they have blue lights above the rear wheel. Nobody gives them crap.

      @@centralnewyorkresponses7887 I agree, and it's what my uncle always said too. Who cares the appearance of the truck, what make it is, what it has on it, as long as it does its job in the end.
