Time to build our next Gambler 500 rig/Off-Road Build. This year we started with a 1989 Jaguar XJS V12. These car are infamous for bad electronics and our Jag was no exception to the rule.
After purchasing the Jag for $1,000 we drove it three blocks and our fuel system failed. in an attempt to get the beast running again for the Gambler 500 we ripped off the whole fuel injection system and carbureted the beast with an Edelbrock 1906.
This is our ultimate Off-Road Conversion!

It depends on the build. The junkyard rescues are more budget friendly. Blasphemy and F-Bomb are polar opposites of this. All car guys need a little Grind Hard Plumbing in their lives!

We have an 85 xj6. Bought it at an auction. Engine knock. Cool. Removed the engine/trans. Replaced with a gm crate 350cu 350hp 350turbo trans. Gear benders o/d Holley injection many more. Wife drives it. Loves it. Friend had one of the v12 cars and we did the same thing to it for him. Loves it. Very reliable.
Great job guys! Looks like it was definitely down to the wire on this build. I guess when you have 12 cylinders you can afford to drop one and be fine Haha! Mike sure seems like a awesome dude! And his Fabrication skills are A+ he deserves a hell of a lot more subscribers!

Wicked Build !!! We took the easy route and installed a small block Chevy In our clapped out Jag. 30 Years as Union Sheet Metal fabricator and I can honestly say You have some of the best fabricating skills I have seen in someone so young. I have no doubt you men will go on to do great things. I encourage any apprentice I come across to watch your vids to show them what is possible with hard work and determination . Can't wait for next weeks vid.
I had the joy of working on a Jag V12 way back when(it was my grandpas that I inherited), and there are some really funky things with that engine. One that comes to mind, the fuel runs through AC cooled pipes. So the AC has to come on randomly when the engine is running, to prevent hydrolock in the fuel rail. So when the AC inevitably fails, the engine starts having issues.
Talk about a perfect build for the Gambler 500! What a great collaboration with Mike, he seems like a really cool dude, and awesome fabricator. Best YT video of the day IMO.

I am mechanically inept, so I live vicariously through this channel.
I love how different people come up with different solutions to different problems. When I needed to build a custom air intake for my project car, I started with off the shelf velocity stacks then just connected everything with wet layup carbon fiber.
Who in their right mind would not give this a thumbs up? This is sweet I would daily that thing!!

My bestfriend moved up to Sweethome, Oregon from southern California. Went up there last year for 3 months and it is so beautiful. Maybe we'll do the Gambler one day soon

Love it, but why not adapt 2 v6 intake manifolds?
There’s lots of ways we could have done it, but this is what we came up with in the time we had.
there is no such thing as V6 manifold for this engine ,Jaguar never had a V6 only an inline 6 with is a far superior engine anyway, V6 Jags only came out in the last 10 or so years

FYI: Those little holes on the intake flanges are for the air injection. (You can actually delete the belt driven air pump too). They go right through the heads into the exhaust ports. When CNCing the flanges you should have used the flanges to cover the holes so exhaust doesn't blow out of them. I'm 2 months late on watching this video, so you probably figured it out already though. But if you didn't, just seal up those holes on the intake flanges with some jb weld or something.

saw this at gambler town!!!... with the head gaskets on the back and the air cleaner out the hood I thought it was a 350 v8 swap... now I find out it was a true Jag v11 the whole time! Nice work boys!

I used to work with a guy who had a Jag V12 in a ratrod. He had a custom manifold cast for it to take dual carbs. With straight pipes it was a ridiculous machine.

Just a suggestion for next run of T-shirt’s. Make the skull face inwards towards the center of chest instead of outwards. It will make the composition a little more comfortable and should be easy to do. Nice work guys! :)

Without injection you needed to group your runners closer together right below the carb so the farthest cylinders don't starve. Edit though I'd totally party with you guys. Been watching your builds for two weeks now. You're killing it.

I used to work at FedEx Ground and it doesn't matter what type of package or how it's being shipped it's getting thrown, stepped on, ripped open and re-taped, you name it.
