    I thought Bowlby only had 1 theory: the monotropic theory of attachment. What is the other one?

    I thought ainsworth did strange situation not van izenborn

      Yes it was orignially conducted by Ainsworth and then Van Ljzendoorn and Kroonenberg (1988) did a meta analysis of 32 studies from 8 countries that used Ainsworth's strange situation to investigate cross cultural variations in attachment :) its important in the evaluation of strange situation because it basically shows Ainswroths experiment lacks some validity as her study was only conducted on American mothers and children. Thats the brief overview :)
