Modern numerology often contains aspects of a variety of ancient cultures and teachers, including Babylonia, Pythagoras and his followers (Greece, 6th century B.C.), astrological philosophy from Hellenistic Alexandria, early Christian mysticism, early Gnostics, the Hebrew system of the Kabbalah, The Indian Vedas, the Chinese "Circle of the Dead", Egyptian "Book of the Masters of the Secret House" (Ritual of the Dead).[4]
Pythagoras and other philosophers of the time believed that because mathematical concepts were more "practical" (easier to regulate and classify) than physical ones, they had greater actuality. St. Augustine of Hippo (A.D. 354--430) wrote "Numbers are the Universal language offered by the deity to humans as confirmation of the truth." Similar to Pythagoras, he too believed that everything had numerical relationships and it was up to the mind to seek and investigate the secrets of these relationships or have them revealed by divine grace. See Numerology and the Church Fathers for early Christian views. However, that does not mean that Pythagoras had coined himself the system one calls numerology. Pythagoras had only paved the way to the observation of numbers as archetypes rather than mere numerals.
In 325 A.D., following the First Council of Nicaea, departures from the beliefs of the state Church were classified as civil violations within the Roman Empire. Numerology had not found favor with the Christian authority of the day and was assigned to the field of unapproved beliefs along with astrology and other forms of divination and "magic".[citation needed] Despite this religious purging, the spiritual significance assigned to the heretofore "sacred" numbers had not disappeared; several numbers, such as the "Jesus number" have been commented and analyzed by Dorotheus of Gaza and numerology still is used at least in conservative Greek Orthodox circles.[5][6] Numerology is prominent throughout Sir Thomas Browne's 1658 literary Discourse The Garden of Cyrus. Throughout its pages the author attempts to demonstrate that the number five and the related Quincunx pattern can be found throughout the arts, in design, and in nature - particularly botany.
Modern numerology has various antecedents. Ruth A. Drayer's book, Numerology, The Power in Numbers (Square One Publishers) says that around the turn of the century (from 1800 to 1900 A.D.) Mrs. L. Dow Balliett combined Pythagoras' work with Biblical reference. Then on Oct 23, 1972, Balliett's student, Dr. Juno Jordan, changed Numerology further and helped it to become the system known today under the title "Pythagorean", although Pythagoras himself had nothing to do with the system.

Many 3’s disagreeing with their “life path”. It’s not a definition, it’s a general guideline. Like astrology if you only take one aspect (like most just think of their sun sign) the general rules may seem completely wrong.
Also, many people take time to develop inherent traits and often life factors can stunt or deface ones energy’s.
I’m a 3, 3 so luckily my birth and name align but like many on here my formative years as a 3 was mainly awkwardly social and shy with zero understanding of finance.
After my Saturn return my personal emergence out of my restrictive self expression began and I now am a financial adept individual who is the social entertainer when I chose to interact with groups.
As a Cancer with Scorpio Moon I’m now better able to express the positive aspects of these energy’s as well as use the seemingly negative aspects to my benefit through deeper understanding of the potential virtue in all expressions of energetic signatures.

We have a very hard one. Many of us were forced in a box and told we’re ADHD, lazy, drop outs ect. So to hear we’re made for greatness, is hard. And to hear we might have unstable but meaningful creative work is a scary risk.

I remember when the "secret" first came out I'm manifested a check I don't know where it came from I don't know who it was from but I was in Arizona at the time I told my family when I moved back to PA about manifesting they were like oh that's not true even though I seen it for my self I fell back into believing their beliefs but this time around I tell the universe to send people like me and it did now I'm out of depression I'm rewiring my program into what I want now. I've been negative thinking for 90% of my life so far so I know this is going to be a process but I'm loving a journey and hope I can carry this into my next life and my next life after that my next life after that

As a three myself, I highly doubt it's totally dominant due to other aspects being involved. However I tend to make coworkers laugh on partial accident.
3's can be like that too, the main thing is you a probably can make the friends you do have laugh more than others, you might not be super creative but you'd definitely be able to think outside of the box whether you realise it or not. 3's can be more introverted when they live in a zip code that adds up to a number that isn't compatible with 3 or are surrounded by many numbers that aren't compatible with 3's (like if you go to a school with a lot of 4's).

I think is due to the reason that he's explaining here life path number. And on his page he said he considers the karmic number being more important than life path number since the last one is more like a destination, a place you will get through living the experience of your karmic number. Maybe that's why we don't feel it quite fit us.

Maybe someone could help me with this. I was born with a different last name from the one I have now. It was changed around the age of 13 to 14. My first last name was from my biological father who I never meet to this day. So my last name was changed to my stepfather's last name. I identify myself more strongly with my stepfather's last name. Not because of my feelings towards him cause the feeling is not positive. Some how I feel a connection with my second last name.
