Absolute Mad Lad. It's sad that these are so much weaker than last year's phones according to insurance companies and initial drop tests. Glad the case does the job though.
The case definitely does the job
The phone is heavy, with sharp corners. Its going to break easier. The bigger they are the harder they fall. The Unicorn Beetle or Otterbox Defender Pro is necessary.

Can tempered glass protection be used with the case? Read some people say doesn't fit properly. Is it necessary to have TGP.
Samsung please next year,ditch the curved display on the ultra,it's ugly, weakens the phone and is of no use and make screen protector installation difficult or to even last

Unicorn beetle Pro is awesome. I love the casing.super protecting.might be having a bit of extra weight on it but not a issue for me . I think is the best casing I bought. So highly recommended:)

I haven't had any issues with the UB Pro on my S22 Ultra. Every wireless charger I have tested works. Power sharing also works. So anyone who does have issues will need to look at getting a different charger since it is most likely the coil not aligning correctly with the phone since it is very tall. The phone is also heavy so be careful if you're using a wireless car charger that clips to the A/C vent cause it may come loose. Was the drop test of the UB Pro without any screen protector on?

I bought my S22 Ultra on the release date. Got a Nilkin case with those sliding protection for the camera. The phone landed on the floor and crashed instantly. My luck was that I had Mastercard Black and they paid for the repair (a whooping 450USD repair). It is currently being repaired (or replaced). As soon it arrives I will change to Supcase and will also buy a Spigen Rough Armor case.

do any of the cases you tested come up high enough on the sides of the phone to protect the curved edge if you were to drop it on an uneven surface like the side of the desk or the stairs? with my Note 20 Ultra I had a cheap case from Amazon that came up high enough so that if I took the Spen and laid it on the screen you could see underneath it, meaning that if the phone were to fall on it's side and hit something other than a flat surface it would hit the case first before the edge. I've orders over 20 cases at this point and not one comes up high enough.
For curved edges like on this device, you won't find a case to come up high on the edges. It's the corners that come up high to prevent the edges from touching any flat surface. But of course no case will protect from drops on sharp corners or rocks or anything like that. Sorry

Great content. Supcase unicorn beetle pro for my note20 ultra. I got all the colors except the violet. There are my favorite cases. Then comes the poetic spartan and revaluation cases. Then, otterbox defender pro.

@Anthony Browning well, if you do get the Amfilm elastic skin screen protector, it's like having nothing on your screen. It works great. Got it on my note20 ultra and my wife's s21 ultra

Great vid! If you drop a Note phone, that SPen will pop out. I dropped my Note 10+ in my lap & the SPen shot across the room!
My Wireless charge Does Not Work on my 3 different wireless chargers but it does work on my Note 10+.. Which is odd.
I only use the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro. Got mine is that beautiful green for my S22 Ultra.
However, if you drop it on Rocks or have rocks in your area?
Your screwed if you drop it..I dropped my Note 10+ from less than 2' on rocks in my driveway while getting into My car & it hit back side down on a rock anf damaged the display from the rear to the front (if that makes sense)
My Galaxy Store said they've never seen anything like that before.
It was like a small shatter between the outer & inner glass display, which can be replaced for $100.
Got the Black UBP 3+ years ago for my Note 10+ and both the case & phone still looks brand new!! (After getting a new display outer glass)
Probably rare that you will drop on a flat surface but you might. Rocks destroy phones & it never fails, that's the area's where I drop my phones. lol great vid🤟

Thanks for the drop test Josh, makes me feel better about ub pro (green) I put on my s22+. I think supcase ub is a nice solid case and great value for $26. I originally ordered the otter commuter but sent that back, the edges of the commuter seemed weak and soft plus the case is slippery. I expect better protection from a $40 case, not defender protection but just better protection! 🤷♂️
This case does come with the optional built in screen protector, I bought mine for my S22 Ultra and it came with the protective screen for an additional 5-10$

so i just installed the whitestone dome, afraid to put into the ub pro because multiple people said it will lift the corner, how did you get yours to fit with ub pro?
Lift a tiny bit on the top corner but not a big issue😅

I've been using supcase for the past 6 years... I've never even had a scratch on any of my phones in the past 6 years... I'll never switch phone cases 💁♂️ lol..
JUST A HEADS UP. if you're buying a supcase from Amazon make sure it comes with a screen protector they sell both with and without for this phone and I bought the one without by accident, keep that mind.

I like these tests. But it's not a drop test, its a weak throw test lmao. You really need to start doing face drops too. Any phone with a curved screen will crack like my wifes 21 ultra did yesterday when it fell on its face. and thats with a UAG Monarch kevlar case too. So any ultra phones need a good case to even protect the screen. And that's where the drop on the face test will show if the case is good for the screen or not.
Yeah I do my drop tests a bit different now. I try to include real world drop tests.

I have using this case and the most of the glass screen protector is not compatible
I bought a green one based off of this video. Didn't know that the edges don't cover the curve. Lol Thought they would. Since the case protected it from the drops. I'm hoping if I one day accidentally drop my phone one day it won't break. I guess if it did come up fully it would impact the screen usage. I had a Pixel 6 pro that had an OtterBox defender on it, but I didn't like the bulkyness of it. I think the unicorn beetle looks thinner.

Hey, I'm not josh but i cared enough to reply to you. The Supcase will fit with any tpu Screen protector but it will NOT work with any tempered glass such a LOCA based (Dome glass and other ones that requires glue).
I haven't tested it with cheaper tempered glass but i can absolutely confirm that dome glass doesn't fit with the case it broke 2x of my screen protectors so I switched to standard TPU.
I finally got the Unicorn Beetle Supcase and I'm so beyond satisfied with it! I love how it holds and protects the phone. Thank you so much for doing the drop test and research on this case! 😀💖

Weak drop tests .... I kinda expected a lil more....nomsaying.... But great job showing us the wireless charging...... You missed showing us if the reverse wireless charging still works with the cases on
Honestly I don't feel these drops were entirely valid as throwing the phone at a curve kinda diverse some of that energy. I think this would have been best in a more formal setting. Good to know though that if I toss the phone a little bit it'll be fine.
How bout the sides of the screen though? From what I've seen, all the cases protect good on flat surfaces but they all fail on the sides of the screen. If you drop it on the side of a desk or a curb, your fucked. If anything hits it right to left across the screen horizontally. It will break. Are there any that have raised lip all the way around the screen rather than just on the top and bottom.
Yep. Exactly what happened with mine. Fell 3ft off my bathroom counter, hit just the right angle of the right side, and got a spider crack from the right middle edge to the top and bottom left corner edge. Loved supcases for years, but considering mous now.
