Thanks for the comments everyone 🙏 I recorded the last two BTS reaction videos back to back and mentioned in the comments of my last video that I’ll be recording reactions to the music videos from now on. I was worried about copyright violations but it sounds like I can record them with no problem. Hope to see y’all back for more BTS videos soon
Great reaction. In my opinion it is better to pause the video to make comments, especially in the mv because you can lose important details. Of course this if you wish. Greetings
When I look at the lyrics I notice the stages of grief and the hope that "spring" will come again and we will stop griefing and heal. (so yes, I have cried at least at one listen) For the Koreans it is the Korean emotion "Han" applied. "Spring Day" is our Queen. The song was dropped in spring of 2017 and is still charting in the Korean charts bopping up at every drop of a BTS song. Suga called it a zombie once. The lyrics are about missing friends (for various reasons) but choreography - there is a dance practice and they did perform this at award shows - and MV are about the Sewol desaster - which unfortunately was very political. Italian Army made a good vid about it: "what you still don't know about BTS spring day" Thank you!
Having a huge diverse excited fandom can be overwhelming 🤭 thanks for the reminder…so good having older siblings to kinda grab our collars and pulling us back, telling us to calm down 🤣💜
I am a 56 yr old metalhead that absolutely loves BTS. It warms my heart that you didn't close off your mind to them. Us metalheads get a lot of flack for liking their music, and, we get made fun of A LOT. I have never been moved by music like I have with them. As someone stated in another comment, just make sure you play the company logo intro for their mvs & you should be fine for a while with watching the official vids. Let me recommend my favorite video: Daechwita by Agust D. Agust D is the alter ego of BTS Suga. Suga is one of the rappers. The official mv is a MUST. It's a masterpiece. When you've watched quite a few of their videos, you should watch Taylor's 'Introduction to BTS' and xCeleste's 'This is BTS'. These two are always recommended by Army for anyone that's new to BTS. Oh....you should def watch the 'Fire' mv! I'll be watching! 💜
I love all the metal fans who love BTS. I think I get it - it's not that the music is atl similar, but they're just so sincere about what they're doing, so committed. Metalheads seem to respect that regardless of genre, yeah?
I would recommend the 'Tiny desk Home Concert '(three songs, including Spring Day) they did in 2020. It's a good way to hear their life voices without being distracted by dance and light effects. You would be able to see who is singing, their personalities and they sing with a (their) live band who also is great!
As a rapline stan, I AM SUBSCRIBING AND HITTING THAT NOTIF BUTTON for the cypher series reaction! Looking forward to it! Thank you for getting to know their music. It's okay if you don't know them yet, but you will find each of them phenomenal, I assure you that. WELCOME TO THE PURPLE RABBIT HOLE! 💜
Almost all of their official music videos have English captions. I think you miss out on a lot by not checking them out. And you don't need to worry about copyright strike as long as you play out the Big Hit intro that plays in the begging of the videos. Big Hit is totally ok with reactors watching their content. This song came out in 2017 and it has *never* left the Korean melon charts, not even for a day. The reason for that is because it's a very meaningful song to Koreans and the music video has a lot to do with that. The MV references Sewol ferry tragedy in which 250 children died due to corruption, incompetence and greed. There's also some subtle critique of the people in power within the video. The song on it's own doesn't have anything to do with what I have mentioned but when you take it all in along with the MV, it's a LOT and it's hard not to get emotional. I'm not gonna go into more detail unless you actually want to check it out. I think doing all of the cyphers (including pt.3) in one go would be best, ARMY likes long videos. We once had 13mil people watch butter melt for an hour...
That what everyone has been telling me, thank you for your comment! I’ll definitely be reacting to the music videos from now on at least the songs that have them. Wild how it hasn’t left the Korean melon chart since 2017! I’ll definitely do all parts in one video, that’ll be the next video out sometime hopefully this week
can't wait to watch more of your videos going forward!! the metalhead to bts fan pipeline is real (i was a huge metal, rock, and goth fan and now i'm a huge bts fan), i really wanna know the psychology behind why metal fans love bts, super interesting phenomenon
OMG I don’t know how I didn’t think of this before but since you’re going to react to the MVs from now on you should totally check out the Fake Love MV (EXTENDED VER.), they made a second version of the song but use MOSTLY the exact same MV for it (it’s a little longer and has extra scenes, but it’s basically a ctrl C ctrl V for the visuals), now the reason why I think this is PERFECT and so worth it for you is bc the extended version of the song is really different instrumentally and you being a metal head will prob really like this version. So yeah, that my next recommendation for you, the fake love MV (extended ver.)
Ok, the actual music video is an integral part of the song meaning in this case. If you possibly can watch it and then look for a Spring Day explained video , there is tons of symbolism that you won't get from the song alone.
the reason why it's not super clear what the song is about is because the south korean government was trying to push the tragedy under the rug, and so if bts were openly speaking out against it then they would've been put on the government blacklist. they still donated to the victims families and put many subtle references in the music video that relates to the tragedy. there are spring day explained videos that explain the mv references
A great majority of their songs have serious topics (often with upbeat music) . That's one of the reasons they are so different from other Bands! I think there are instrumental version of many BTS songs on Spotify or SoundCloud !
Although other comments are recommending to watch the music videos, i think its nice that youre able to just focus on the music and the lyrics. Especially for newbies it can be overwhelming to catch the mv's symbolism in addition to the song and the lyrics. Maybe in the future you could first just listen and read lyrics, then go and watch the mv after. :) And definitly check out More and Arson by j-hope!
Jimin from bts dropped his solo album face you should react to it . His album has 6 tracks ( like crazy , face off , alone , set me free pt2 , letter and like crazy English version) both like crazy and set me free pt2 has music videos
not only the quality of their music is incredible BUT they're extremely involved in creating beats, melodies and lyrics. Some of them are producers too, actually they all are but especially rapline since they started making music since they were teens/pre-teens
I think doing the Cyphers in one video is a good idea, simply because they have SO MUCH CONTENT that it will take you about five years to get through it all, lol
Better watch the documentary made by the Italian Army who explicitly explained the whole reference used in the MV and the Song/ Lyrics itself. This is very sensitive and very sentimental song. Please Please learn the reference first before anything else since it is a sacred song for the victims.
Definitely check out the official MV for this, even if just on your own. Also, if you want to check out their NPR Tiny Desk Concert, they perform three songs live and "Spring Day" is one of them. As AMAZING as their studio versions always are, nothing beats them live. They SHINE on stage. They release instrumentals versions of a lot of their songs or you can find versions.
On your own time or as a reaction, I recognize watching the M/V and watching an Italian ARMYs explanation of the M/V. There is so much going on in it that the explanation is pretty amazing
Hiiiii, there. This song Spring Day is very sad song. Actually It was a spring when the entire nation of Korea cried. BTS comforted us with this song. 감사합니다 💜
I can´t wait till you actually see them dance hehe and on top of that perform live it´s truly amazing how they always sound better live. that´s why BTS concert tickets are the most wanted in the world. they sold out 4 nights at sofi stadium and also 4 nights at alligent stadium. not to mentioned rose ball and wembly stadium. so i hope you watch a live performance. maybe do the studio version first and them the live. just to see the difference
Here is to hoping you continue to enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole. Kpop has a ton of different groups that cover all types of music. BTS is the best but when you can, give Dreamcatcher and Stray Kids a look. :) Also I will suggest Idol and DNA for a little EDM rush and Dionysus and Run BTS (not RUN, that is something different)for something with a hell of guitar. We will talk about rap line and vocal line songs when you have dug a little deeper.
If you decide to watch the MV and the explanation video - which I recommend - do it when you have some time after... It's heavy. Especially if you happen to be a parent. I try to warn people. I needed time to hug my kids and cry, personally.
Please make sure to watch the MV followed by the explanation video. This song cannot be understood by the lyrics OR the mv alone. It is much deeper. Recommend always searching for an explanation video if you really care about the meaning of their songs. Thank you.
Hiii! Pls react to Now United - Wave Your Flag or Lean On Me (They are a global pop group made up of 18 members from 18 different countries. Now they are entering a new era since the original members' contract already expired and they are recruiting 3 new members from Brazil, Portugal, & Philippines which will be announced soon.) Looking forward to seeing your reaction.
I recommend you check in the MV from BangtanTv channel. Its a must that you check also the explanation of rhe MV by Bulletproof channel or Italian Army channel. You need to see the MV because there' a lot of references in that MV. Spring Day is the queen of all BTS songs, this is the most controversial and the bravest BTS song. Its a a beautiful masterpiece abd tribute. This song is still in the Korean hit chart until now since it's released, and every spring it goes up the chart. Rhere' a oiano vwrsion of Spribg Day ans si beautiful.
Spring Day is such a powerful song. The music video hits even harder when you see the symbolism behind it all. Admittedly it would be hard to catch it all on a first time reaction especially without any context for all of the different things that were happening at the time or why this avoidable tragedy happened. An Italian ARMY did extensive research and put together a video to help new people understand it all better: ruclips.net/video/FrT4a_Fw6pE/видео.html It may be difficult to watch as she included clips of the actual events taking place around that time. You don't have to react to it but if you do, it would be better to react to the Spring Day MV first to see what's being analysed.
I hope you check out Dionysus which has more rock vibes woven through it. There's no music video, but they have a dance practice for it -- so you'll get to hear and finally see their moves that everyone's been going on about. :) ruclips.net/video/QmgcyLozkbQ/видео.html
This is literally the only BTS song that should be reacted to with the background info about the topic. Your ARMY friend has chosen great songs to react to, but failed miserably in explaining why they are so important, especially with this one you should have known the basic info that it's about a terrible tragedy in which about 150 kids have lost their lives because of greed, corruption, politician's stupidity and lack of proper reaction when there was still time. TBH, it was low-key putting you on a mine. There were reactions in which people accidentally said some stupid things about the song while not knowing the topic. While ARMYs absolutely understand that you can't have that knowledge, it's never a good look. We know why's that but it's them who end up feeling bad either way. If you're going to rewatch the MV, please watch the explanation too. People like the DKDKTV one but I'm personally partial to this one: ruclips.net/video/Tye1ONFeKis/видео.html. PS. You're not even aware of that but you had the guts to cover WorldWide Handsome with your face in the thumbnail and that's ballsy - if you weren't good looking yourself there would be riots😂. //Just kidding here, ARMYs aren't as insane as the media portray us sometimes. It made me chuckle though.
From what I understand , the song is not actually about the Sewol tragedy and to me it makes more sense for it to be about a person you are missing rather than one who has passed?
Thanks for the comments everyone 🙏 I recorded the last two BTS reaction videos back to back and mentioned in the comments of my last video that I’ll be recording reactions to the music videos from now on. I was worried about copyright violations but it sounds like I can record them with no problem. Hope to see y’all back for more BTS videos soon
you won't if you use the official MV and start at the beginning of a BTS MV showing their label 'BigHit'.
Great reaction. In my opinion it is better to pause the video to make comments, especially in the mv because you can lose important details. Of course this if you wish. Greetings

ARMYs, before a ton of you flood the comments telling him to watch the MV, he already said he will start doing that after this one. 💜
Hey again I appreciate your support 🙌🖤
@@RubberToez of course! 💜

It never hurts to actually watch the music video either. Their production teams are top-notch and they create some of the most amazing videos.

The song is about loosing a good friend ,not directly about the Sewol Ferry Tragedy.
But the theory, that the MV is about it,seems quite reasonable.
Exactly 💜
Yeah the MV is as clear as it could be.
The song can be about any loss, really. It's an incredible artistic expression of grief.
