So I bought these speakers, and all I can say is that I feel I've never really heard music before. With other speakers it's obvious you're hearing sound from the tweeter on the left and right. With these, it's like you're sitting in front of a live stage with a wall of sound in front of you. And the bass is just as amazing. Tears of joy listening to music I've heard all my life, but really, really hearing it for the first time.

First time on the channel, great review, appreciate the context. I've had these for about a year and have had my mixes improve quite noticeably over that year- I greatly attribute that to these monitors. So really two things: 1) These monitors are amazing for the price and will translate well to a great many systems if you know what you're doing and 2) I'm now looking to upgrade and your opinion of the A7X was helpful. 1 new subscriber. Two weeks ago I decided on these. Then, went further into watching more reviews on many brands and quality levels. This video just confirmed what I already knew, these would be perfect for my setup and budget. Thank you! Adam for your honesty!
Just got my pair last night; got a good deal on them and also just happened to stumble across your channel; I love the content and I personally feel like you did an excellent job at explaining everything especially in the fashion that you did.
t7v or t5v, do they actually differ, and rokits dont suck, cause most people like me who got them, had them because they were the budget monitors, and they sounded great for as long as i could remember, untill i started hearing the little differences when mixing and saw the problem with them
My old college had Rokits in the music tech department. I found them underwhelming. Too much low end, high end sounds kinda distorted and fuzzy, there was too much colour for them to realistically be called monitors.
@fu J both are good I heard that t5v exceed their bass limitations on paper for whatever thats worth but the 7 is more balanced overall. I would even get a f7 if you can find them used but if you have the cash get the a pair of ax7 series used for about 1100-1300. Currently a pair for 1100 on guitar centers website which is cheap usually they are 1600-1700 new.
Well said, I agree completely.. I own Rokit 5 and t7v.. rokits are great for listening to and powerful as well. T7v are accurate and detailed like crazy but I find them very fatiguing. After hours of listening my ears and and head feels like I just got out of the nightclub.. I am happy with both speakers overall for different reasons. They are both affordable 👍... one other thing the Rokits have a better quality look and a light to know when they are on. You can see in the details the material of the T7Vs are a little on the cheap side in comparison
this is a great review. You perfectly described what the audience wanted to hear are they worth it for the home studio. There was no overcomplicated in depth review about the specifications that the speakers have. GREAT JOB!
The only complaint I have is that it felt like half the video was just you explaining why you're not going to talk about certain things in the video. All to sum it up with "yeah these are good at the price point, get these" without going in depth on what about them stood out to you. That being said, thanks for the review. Your channel is dope.
Perfect timing I was just looking at buying some used krks but I had always heard the same things you mentioned. Your review changed my mind finally and I think you found me my new speakers. Put the link in your description so people can find these!
I bought the Rokit 5s years back and they have done okay. I took a trip to Guitar Center early last year (pre-COVID) and wanted to test my songs on the array of studio monitors they had in an isolated room. A salesperson there changed my life when he introduced me to Adam Audio’s T7Vs. Songs I had listened to over and over on the Rokits gained even more levels of life to them from the first listen. I was sold immediately! Later down the road, I will purchase higher end Adam Audio monitors, but those T7Vs will serve me well for years to come. The problem with Rokits are they fool you into thinking a mix is fuller than it really is, so when you listen in the car, your mix sounds very deflated. Rokits are great for hip-hop because they’re so naturally bass heavy.
Finally purchased these a few months ago.. 1 very detailed and pretty accurate 2 build quality materials not the best 3 no light to show they are on 4 not as powerful as I original thought they would b 5 very fatiguing when listening to for a long time 6 almost affordable 7 would I recommend??? Idk 6.5 outta 10
I've tested the ADAM T7V's today and they were an absolut blast! They sound way more expensive. Only the BM monitors from Dynaudio where a bit better in a side by side test (for my ears and needs). But way more expensive. I've also tested: KRK Rokit G4 whole series = sorry, no chance against the adams Yamaha HS7 = too steril for my ears, and massive lack of lowend Yamaha HS8 = overall ok, but a bit to boxy for my ears :/ Focal alpha = overall ok but a little "untrue" lowend Dynaudio BM mk= superb, punchy Bass, great mids and super smooth highs with great overall clarity ADAM Audio T5V / T7V = superb, punchy Bass, great mids and super smooth highs My recommendation : Adam T Series (budgetfriendly bang for the bug) or Dynaudio BM (if you need a bit more clarity and want to spend a little more cash)
I had that issue with the HS8 being way too loud on the low end and shaking the entire house. The solution to this is to follow the user manual instructions as I discovered later on. The manual says to put them 1.5m or more away from the back and sides. I did that and I was absolutely blown away. The mids and highs came alive and the bass go so balanced, its just hard to put into words. The big issue now is they take too much space, but they do make up for it in sound. But yea, to sum it up, if you have HS8 and have them sitting pretty much against the wall, try doing the 1.5 meter thing and see for yourself.
I was going to buy the HS8s, but the sales guy turned me on to these. Thank goodness he was there since they didn't have these on display. He hooked them up and I compared them with everything else they had: KRK, Yamaha, JBL, etc. These were the best and they weren't the most expensive! I haven't been able to hook them up yet since I'm moving, but I can't wait to.
This review is so true. I was about to buy the new KRK's, but did a quick final comparison in the store. Just to be sure that I was doing the right thing here. The guy in the store let me listen to other 7" (6,5") monitor speakers like Genelecs, Yamaha en these Adam Audio speakers (which I hadn't heard of) and it was immediately clear that Adam Audio won the test for me. There's much more definition in the low (bass) with the Adam Audio. KRK are pretty good, but if you want to master your techno, tech house etc tracks, you want to have the Adam's. If you want good sound to listen to tracks (not mastering) or for DJ'ing, then go for the KRK's. And yes, I was about to buy the KRK Rokit 7 G4. I was already in love with these yellow cones, but the difference was so evident. And I'm not a professional, so even my (sort of) untrained ears could hear a big difference. The difference in this video is less big than in the audio room. So my advice, go to your local store and put up some of your favourite music, the kind of music you produce and just listen. You'll notice the difference. Btw, If you are mastering rock music, go for the Yamaha's. They are an absolute winner for that genre.
Amazing video. Thank you so much for this review, I purchased them yesterday upgrading from rokit 5’s and man I agree with what you’re saying! Thank you!
Just found this, very much appreciated. As a musician, I actually have no interest in the engineering side of performance, but I'm attempting to build a home studio from scratch that "someone else" can help me engineer performances from. All my research keeps pointing me back to the Adam T7V, for my price range, and this review is a big help.

Great video Adam. I think your opinion is more than enough. People will have to take that opinion with a grain of salt, take the chance and see if they work for them. If not guitar center is good with returns.
Thanks for giving an honest opinion! I liked how you put them into the category of "starting your studio again". I'm a fan of the A7Xs and looking to upgrade from some JBLs.
I AM SO GLAD THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS SAID THAT COMPARING (A/B-ing) TWO DIFFERENT SPEAKERS AND LISTENING TO THE COMPARISON ON A LAPTOP IS SO BOGUS. YOU CAN NO WAY PERCIEVE THE FULL AUDIO SPECTRUM WHILE LISTENING ON A LAPTOP... GREAT WORK....
T2daA My room is really small also, and the T5V are just perfect, not bass heavy which Is perfect for me and there’s little switches on the back for more bass and more high end, I was in a dilemma between the t5v and the rokit’s, the guy in the shop said the t5v is what u want, as soon as I heard the t5v I automatically told him to take my money!
Thank you for the review, I really enjoyed it. I was wondering if you could tell me what type or brand is the desk you are using. Looks very good, simple yet functional. Cheers from Toronto
Hello I would like to ask when u say that the knobs aren't gonna move anymore.... Isnt that right?? I mean you should always turn the knob down.when u want to turn them off...
Going from 5 inch to 8 inch will be a bi diferrence. If your room big? If your room isn't big i would not recommend 8 inch speakers. For 8 inch they would need some space of the walls, while adams are backported
Hi Adam! Cool video :) I am looking to buy myself my first pair of studio monitors and I am thinking about to get the T7V. I just wanted to ask you, what material are the monitor boxes made of? I looked for it on Adam Audio's website, but I couldn't find any information. Thank you in in advance for your feedback and response.
I bought these monitors plus a focusrite 6i6 audio interface. I have run balanced cables to each monitor. When I bring up the focusrite controls the green lights are dancing away whenever any audio is coming from youtube etc or from my Ableton DAW. I am getting nothing out of the monitors at all. I connected the whole setup again using my laptop. Again nothing. What am I doing wrong. Im sure its down to me. HELP
Thanks for the review Adam! Currently the T7Vs are 199 € (UVP: 239 €) each @Thomann.de. :) ... Everybody, I have no affiliation with Thomann!! Keep on rockin'!! 😎✌️
Hi, I am setting up my new home studio, I was almost ready to go - finally - for the T8V but I read they don't have magnetic shield. Do you consider this a serious disadvantage and why? Thanx!
Hey Adam. Would you do a head to head comparison video of A7V against KRK RP7 ? I've heard that bass port being on the front is more preferable, when you decide to put the speakers up against the wall. What about A7V having bass ports on the back? Do they still perform good, if placed like that?
Hey I liked what you said them not being to punchy to annoy neighbours but they give enough bass to enjoy, that is what i want, audio quality, for listening music at home with youtube or just tv, what u would choose these or yamaha hs5 Thanks 🙏
10:15. Yeah, unless your setup is better than the setup you're about to listen to, mostly you're just listening to the limits of your own equipment. Which if your equipment is superior, then why are you considering them? I just always find the "live demo" to be mental masturbation.
What settings should I have them on in the back? I have the volume set between 0 dB and Level. HF and LF both set on the 0 setting and the input switch is switched up to +4dBu.
for what its worth, regarding the indicator light, these can theoretically stay on forever, because they go into bypass when they're not receiving signal. read that on the Adam website Q & A a while ago, (don't have the link). I do think there should be at least one step at 0db so you can be super sure you can be level between speaks
What would you reccommend more, These, or the HS8's? or something else? maybe kali audio lp-8's? which would be the best studio monitors of those three? (if there is something better for the same price please tell me haha)
There's a whole host of considerations for a question like this. Some of the major ones are budget, size of your mixing area, type of room, and what type of project they're going to be used for- in addition to the considerations for going with a 7 vs 8 inch config.
Hello, I need your advice, we are opening a studio in the school where students will be able to play and record songs. It's mostly rock music. The size of the room is about 42 m2. I am choosing between Adam t7v and t8v. What would be your recommendation? Thank you.
If those are your main choices I would go with the T8V, but focus more on the acoustic treatment of the room. No matter how good studio monitors are, the room needs to be treated in order to get the value out of the production setup.
Nice video and great info. I am on the fence between buying these Adam T7V Monitors and the Kali Audio (3-Way) In-8 Monitors. (Both get great reviews). There's a $300 difference in price and wondering if it is worth it for the upgrade to the 3-Way. I wish Adam would make an affordable 3-way that are ported in the front. All the best from the U.S. Phil NYC Area
@@johnswiftmusic I still have not made up my mind. I was waiting for this one youtube channel to review the Kali IN-8 monitors. (They're waiting to receive them in near future hopefully). I think, however I am leaning towards the Adam T8V monitors right now because of the price. It is a tough decision however as I really would prefer 3-Ways and front ports..But they need to sound good and spec out well too. So I may just wait a little longer... Phil NYC Area
Need some help here, My room is approximately 10feet by 12feet and basic acoustically treated, will a 7 or 8 inch monitor be ideal for my room or should I go for a smaller 5 inch monitor.

Was waiting for a vid like this. Thanks bro 🔥
this was awesome dude, another set for me to check out and compare to a few others before i upgrade my monitors
Subscribed thanks bro I'll be purchasing these ones now while I wait for the KRK7 generation 4s to come into stock. Thanks again great video brilliant review.
Nice video with a lot of information and a nice ambience. I think I'll go to the music store and listen to them! Thank you for this review!
Your reviews are fantastic
3:28 That's a really satisfying shot with the monitor flickering and purple light.
You're on a roll man!
This vide was just in time bro thanks
how fortuitous that my KRKs broke and i found these :) stoked
If someone’s gonna watch your channel, whether that means they like it or they just like watching to critique, they’re still gonna watch. It’s cool that you don’t wanna spend a lot of time on the specs. It’s cool that you just wanna talk about how they personally sounded to you and made you feel. But you talked a lot about how that’s the type of review you were gonna do instead of just giving that review. Doesn’t matter what anyone thinks your review should be like. Do it your way and whoever sticks around are your real audience. Just get to it is all lol. Appreciate it. These will probably be the next monitors I get
Great video Adam. I think your opinion is more than enough. People will have to take that opinion with a grain of salt, take the chance and see if they work for them. If not guitar center is good with returns.
Good man!! Thank you for review! :)
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT VIDEOS I WANT???!!??🔥😂🔥
Thanks for giving an honest opinion! I liked how you put them into the category of "starting your studio again". I'm a fan of the A7Xs and looking to upgrade from some JBLs.
I bought two of them yesterday for 329 on thomann. Including two iso pads. Great deal
Fantastic honest review thank you going to be investing
Great review! You got me looking more into Adam Audio.
that is why they gifted him a pair of these :D
Thank you for the review!
great review!
you have helped me make up my mind.
Great Video man .
Love the no Bullshit approach . I just ordered my pair . thanks a million
YEAH MAN IT'S HOW IT FREAKING SOUNDS !!!
i have the T5V's and they are awesome!
T2daA
My room is really small also, and the T5V are just perfect, not bass heavy which Is perfect for me and there’s little switches on the back for more bass and more high end, I was in a dilemma between the t5v and the rokit’s, the guy in the shop said the t5v is what u want, as soon as I heard the t5v I automatically told him to take my money!
Thank you for the review, I really enjoyed it. I was wondering if you could tell me what type or brand is the desk you are using. Looks very good, simple yet functional. Cheers from Toronto
It's a ProRak MK 61, I bought it second hand. Love this desk!
Would these speakers also be good for music playback (compared to music creation)?
I definitely think so. There are better options as the budget goes up but for the price they are really good.
I use Yamaha H5's with the matching sub and I like it, was looking at these monitors, are they an upgrade?
are they still good in dec in 2020?? are the good for music like hip hop, trap or lofi
The yellow woofer idea probably came from the old B&W speakers. But that look came and went.
Thanks for this review.
Hello I would like to ask when u say that the knobs aren't gonna move anymore.... Isnt that right?? I mean you should always turn the knob down.when u want to turn them off...
I have the JBL 5 inch and I’m really wanting to upgrade my monitor setup to the new 8 inch ADAM T8V’s. What is your opinion on the 7’s one year later?
Going from 5 inch to 8 inch will be a bi diferrence. If your room big? If your room isn't big i would not recommend 8 inch speakers. For 8 inch they would need some space of the walls, while adams are backported
Great information as I am looking to purchase some speakers
Subbed to your channel for future reviews 👍
HELP
there's a source switch on the back have u checked it?
That slick subscribe animation!
please Tell me , which one should i go for ?
T7V OR HS8 Yamaha ?
please help me out i am so confused between these
I have good music content check me out
Would you recommend these even for a small room or do think the t5vs are better?
What would be a good comoressor limiter setup if money means nothing? I have a nice mixing carillion desk with a ton of empty spots 😊
Hey
I liked what you said them not being to punchy to annoy neighbours but they give enough bass to enjoy, that is what i want, audio quality, for listening music at home with youtube or just tv, what u would choose these or yamaha hs5
Thanks 🙏
Had to subscribe very insightful & i think i found my new studio monitors
(Upgrading from the M-Audios 🤦🏽♂️)
for what its worth, regarding the indicator light, these can theoretically stay on forever, because they go into bypass when they're not receiving signal. read that on the Adam website Q & A a while ago,
(don't have the link).
No matter how good studio monitors are, the room needs to be treated in order to get the value out of the production setup.
would these be ok to use as just speakers in my livingroom?
Nice video and great info.
I am on the fence between buying these Adam T7V Monitors and the Kali Audio (3-Way) In-8 Monitors. (Both get great reviews). There's a $300 difference in price and wondering if it is worth it for the upgrade to the 3-Way. I wish Adam would make an affordable 3-way that are ported in the front. All the best from the U.S.

brooo im in the same boat what’d you end up with?
im debating between the t7v and Kali 8
@@johnswiftmusic I still have not made up my mind.
I was waiting for this one youtube channel to review the Kali IN-8 monitors. (They're waiting to receive them in near future hopefully).
I think, however I am leaning towards the Adam T8V monitors right now because of the price.
It is a tough decision however as I really would prefer 3-Ways and front ports..But they need to sound good and spec out well too. So I may just wait a little longer...

Would you recommend these as a upgrade from KRK Rokit 6?
Was looking to get the Ax7 but have found a pair of t7v for bargain price. Thoughts?
If you can swing the A7X i would do that. The T7V isn’t enough of an upgrade to your Rokit 6s in my opinion.
Need some help here, My room is approximately 10feet by 12feet and basic acoustically treated, will a 7 or 8 inch monitor be ideal for my room or should I go for a smaller 5 inch monitor.
Adam do you do your mixes with your speakers near the wall like you have there behind you? Also, you didn't talk enough about how they actually sound and perform as home studio monitors when mixing music to be played on other speakers.
