Everything covered was done very well. However, I would have like to seen the illumination feature displayed through it's eleven settings against various backgrounds and lighting conditions.
that is completely awesome I think I'm going to pick one up once I have the money. it seems to me however you do need to understand how a second focal plane scope Works to understand how the first focal plane scope works. I still love my leapers SWAT AO scopes. for the money they're extremely hard to beat. I own a few Hawke Scopes as well but the radicals are a little too finally asked for my taste and the way I hunt. the leapers Scopes have very nice beefy reticles and at my age my eyesight isn't what it used to be. lol! I do not wear glasses but I can still split a playing card at 50 yards. I wouldn't mount a scope like this on a spring gun per se.... but it would be nice to know if the scope is rugged enough to handle that recoil. I had to take the battery out of my leapers 6 by 12 by 44 because the recoil of my Hatsan 125 Sniper kept kicking on the illumination.
FFP eliminate you haven't to run ur computer brain if you site in at 50 an learn your hold overs an who cares if it's on 8 or 34. I have two of these scopes a 6x24x50 of field target gun an the 8x34x56 on 100 yard bench rest gun. Both air guns.
Hi Tyler would this rifle scope be a good choice for the marksmanship challenge for 22lr. This would be going on and Anschutz MPR 64. Thank you for a great video.
I would say so. I know a lot of guys that shoot NRL22 are running FFP scopes and there are some using Athlon. At the price point, it would be hard to beat
As mentioned in the video, I left the scope slightly left (for the SFP scope) and slightly right (for the Athlon) to make sure that the reticle did not obscure your view of the shot on target.
Accuracy, especially for benchrest shooting. The more zoom you have on your target, the more accurately you can place your reticle on the target. You can also see slight movements clearer to help find more stability. It's very common to see people shrink their group size when using a higher mag scope.
With high magnification and adjustable objective, you can use the AO to range find. Turn the knob until the target comes into focua, and then get your range from the markings. 40X scopes on competition field target rifles are not uncommon.
Hi, Caution & beware, plse. Logo of the canted "A" on side focus knob is possibly a pass-of of Leupold and infringement of the L-logo of Leupold. Trade mark issue here.
Hendrick Otto - whaat?? It is an A, for Athlon not an L, how does it infringe on Leupold logo?? It doesn’t even look the same man, it’s a totally different letter and there’s no crosshair over the “A” either.
UPDATE: The 8-34x Argos BTR has 45 MOA of adjustment. Which is just under 4 full revolutions of windage and elevation adjustment.
pyramydair Fairy high magnification for air Rifles don’t you think??

very nice explanation about the two thanks
Great video, I can say I learned something today!
I had 2 athlon scopes already mounted on my bsa scorpion 1200se .22 & my ivanex r.s.11.25, talos btr 4-14x44 & argos 6-24 x50 !
At first I thought that target was an 8.5x11" sheet of paper but I learned it's only 6.75" x 5.38", so knowing that gives me a better perspective.
Pyramyd should sell this rifle & scope as a combo, I’d buy it!
This was VERY interesting -- I had no idea...
Great review! Thanks!
I would like to see a review of the walther SF8-32 X 56 thanks

It definitely helps to understand how both work, helps put the advantages of each in perspective. Thanks for the kind words!
Great Job guys thank you
Great review and great examples!
Is this scope better than MTC Cobra? My next scope is an FFP for sure!
Will you also please review ATN X-sight II?
Thanks for the great review, What scope cam are you using? or can you recommend a good one ? Thanks

How would this scope look on an FX Impact. 22? How much darker does it get at 34X?
Will this scope handle 300 win mag. i had a leapers and put it on 243 and its screwed up now
will this work on a 30.06 Rifle?
Is there a locking ring on the fast focus eyepiece adjustment?
No

I read a review on the 6-24-50 Athlon scope and they said you couldn't range find while target shooting. Is that right?
I have the 6x24x50 argos ffp on my 300 win mag great scope
FFP is great for miling range to a target but this is an airgun...... 8-34 on an airgun ?
is pryamidair ligit the prices seem to low
Yes they are great to buy from. I have bought many times from them.
Thanks!
why does the pellet go to left or right when you use magni ?
As mentioned in the video, I left the scope slightly left (for the SFP scope) and slightly right (for the Athlon) to make sure that the reticle did not obscure your view of the shot on target.
Tyler,
Can we expect the same features and performance from the 6-24 x50?
Absolutely
Can you field target shoot with the Athlon scopes. One of the reviews on pyramid air said you couldn't .
Si estuviera en mrad, la compro. En MOA, no
34 power...on an air gun.....why? Makes no sense
Was thinking the same.

It's just the thing for 100 yard bench rest and also helps you see the pellet holes in the target at 100.

I hate this scope it’s absolute garbage! I got it because it came with the rifle I purchased and Now I’m stuck with it.
FFP is overrated
