CCA (sister company of KZ) Hydro are really good 2DD and 8BA going for like 150. Also they have the AS24 which are 12BA in each ear but I have heard they sound crowded. I have the Hydro and love them for music.
I not only learned multiple new things watching this one, but I also googled and wiki'd different things learning even more....for example, one comment mentioned was about IEMs on an airplane. So....I learned a bunch of stuff. Great video!
Thank you. I am actually listening to this on my older KZ ATE wired headphones! KZ does a really good job. thank you for the side by side that so many of us just can't do.
I ditched my shure 215’s months ago and Im SO happy. Found the KZ and the CS series for half the price, got a few to do a shoot out and have backups and Im thrilled with each of them. Got the custom foam tips to attach to them for better isolation because the standard silicone they come with slides out of my ear when Im sweaty and headbanging. The foam locks em in place, isolates well, and the overall sound picture is SO MUCH BETTER. Bass clarity is extremely important when playing…the bass lol.
Hey from Dublin, Brilliant video, excellent explanation. Can I ask what cable connection would I need to be able to connect these to my IPhone 15 pro max. Cheers. Niall 🎸
That is such good info Fang, thanks. I had been wondering on a reliable brand of lower priced IME's. I am currently using are the SIMGOT EM2 dual driver. About the same price point as the 215's. I have difficulty with any types of ear buds, the tips never fit well. I almost have to find a pair that have the DIY Mold with it. Is there a number of drivers that you feel is enough? Where everything else is just sprinkles on top? Or a number of drivers to shoot for? Also, FANTASTIC video!!
This now begs the question, what about attempting to correct the flaws with EQ? There is an audio site I frequent that will test headphones with some frequency. He'll do a base review of it straight out of the box, then will apply some EQ in an attempt to correct whatever flaws he encounters. Its really the only audio review site I go to now because it's all based on measurement data as opposed to "feelings".
@@LordsoftheTrident makes sense. I'm pretty sure i'm going to need to get a set in the somewhat nearish future to monitor my streams, so this has been very helpful. Thanks!

You’d just need a usb c or lightning to 1/8” connector. :)
@ Thanks very much 🙏

If you're using it for listening to music, then yeah - 100%! But most of the application of these will be on-stage, as part of an IEM system.

@@decay1369 you can always EQ your bus
have you tried the zs pro X ?
Not yet!
Are the chapters correct? I went to the AS16 Pro chapter but it mentions zs16 pro.
The chapters were made automatically by RUclips, I didn't set them up :(
Been using ZS6's for years now. They're great but S sounds are way too sharp
:P you keep saying ZS16 instead of AS16
