The "SR Series" are actually called the "RS" ... for *Reconnaissance Strike* ... but the guy at the Press reveal of the RS 71 said "SR 71" and from this moment everyone did just go with it.
and the plane was too fast and had a to big turning radius to do efficient strike anyway
@@Hackanhacker well in terms of reconnaissance, it was a strike for the enemy, due to it's capabilities. But is classical "Striker" like a A 10 you couldn't use it yes.
It wasn’t the press that made up the SR designation, it was the USAF Chief of Staff General Curtis LeMay.

Why do people think Ryanair Is the worst airliner, like, the memes are getting unfunny now. You get what you pay for. Don't expect every pilot to be "the best" and the most Smoothest landing, Cheap airliners have lower experienced pilots. Every Airline has HUNDREDS of hard landings.

I suck at xp11 development and have only made a few flight models, but have decided i will develop a darkstar freeware for it, it wont fly well or like real life but will go fast and be controllable and have 3d modeling. I will try to make it as easy to fly as possible, and it will be able to fly upto mach 12 groundspeed and 200k ft asl. I will try to make it VR compatible too
EDIT: flight model almost complete as of 6/21/22, prob will release today or tmrw
Maybe you can ask Twkster for assistance. He's really good at flight models since he was involved in Zibo mod.

Ever since my MSFS updated to the Maverick update, my MSFS has been crashing like Swiss does all the time. It can’t even run for 10 minutes without crashing. Shame since I want to actually fly the Darkstar.

I flew from New York to Paris in the Darkstar and MSFS crashed seconds before I touched down. I'm taking a break lol

@@tspryaviation I’d say worse. I’ve done long flights before and the CTD right on approach kills me. Loading it up on final again just doesn’t feel the same.
@@Subiwu yeah true. Especially with the long load times, hopefully they fix the CTD problem and not break anything else in the next update. They always seem to break something whenever they update it.
Lockheed made a real-life model of the plane which was so accurate china actually repositioned their satelite to take pictures of it 😂

I landed it yesterday it is not that hard. If you turn off scramjets at 250,000 ft it automatically goes waaaaaaay slower.
If Tom can’t fly it and crashes it well I don’t know what’s going to happen to swiss! Might see him eject over Australia or something lol!

I agree. The last video is just saying a mod someone spent years on is bad even thought it's his fault. He hasn't even acknowledged it, just put a comment which nobody is gonna read. Also in this video when he switches it to Modern he doesn't even mention the HJet.

If I follow the instructions provided by the stratosphere challenge, it breaks up every time when I enter below 50000 feet. The trick is to slow it down before it hits denser air. Landing it on itself is as easy as pretty much every plane in the sim(depending of course on conditions).

What kind of bandwith do you have because when im playing it it constantly says im offline and bing data shut off or something and in your MSFS it just runs smoothly can you help me with that?

The windows on the Darkstar really don't help.
It isnt that hard, it just needs some practise. Type in the ILS frequency on the small top right display and activate it on NAV 1. Hold enginepower between 80 and 85 percent and use the locater and glideslope. Stay between 190 and 200 kts and zoom to the AV-Display while landing. It can land smooth. Just needs some skill. Btw ofc it doenst work at couchevele

It isn't impossible to land if you actually pay attention to your speed lol, optimum landing speed is 200kts from my experience
