Truly one of the most sad deaths in Elden ring he will never be forgotten
I was over leveled when I fought him. Only took like 3 hits. Kinda made me sad. I wanted him to go out with confidence and a sense of resolve.

See, this is a problem I struggle with in Elden Ring. I don't explore like that and tend to tackle side quests as they appear in other games, but I don't know what is a side quest and what isn't in this game, and the NPCs show up in the most obzockey places that you have to go out of your way to find. I like Elden Ring well enough, but a little guidance would have been appreciated.
well in alexanders case, once you encounter him at the start of the game. He will be waiting for you at the festival, not only is this a place that you basically have to go to. He tells you he aims to go to fight in the radahn festival. From that point onwards hes in locations that you basically have to get to in order to beat the game. Completing his quest by proxy

You can kill him early game for the warrior jar shard for 10% boost.
Yeah but then you can’t get the Shard of Alexander that Playthrough. I always hold off to get the 15%.

Nope, if you killed him you likely got the warrior shard which is a weaker percentage ☹️

@@RoronoaZoro23706 No. Only at the duel in the end of the questline. You get a weaker version if you kill him before that, while the original gives you a 15% boost damage, the weaker gives you 10%

Don't kill him guy's follow hes quest and get tje best shared of Alexander this one is 10% and the quest one is 15%
This is the 15% one. ‘Shard of Alexander - 15%’ you get this at the end of his quest line by defeating him - if you defeat him before the end of the quest you only get ‘Warrior Shard -10%’
