Excellent performance and a real classic. The original released into the UK pop charts back in September 1988, and I was a young man of 20 years back then residing here at home in awesome Birmingham UK.
Florence, I have looked for a cover of this song to learn on the guitar. Simply wonderful construction of this timeless song. I love the build and the use of the looping to create “out of this world” effects. Bravo!
Go Flo! Great way to end the week and thank you for taking me way back in time, but with lovely vocal surprises in there - washing up will never be the same 🖤👏. Maybe a Flo Glenified laid-back looping sea shanty with jazzy harmonies coming? - could go viral! Em, Am, G, C D...
@@florenceglen I suppose I had the recent TikTok "Wellerman" in mind which has gone mental. There are plenty of others though. Maybe check The Longest Johns, on YT... It's easy and fun on the guitar but I haven't got round to recording it myself yet. But it would be interesting to hear your interpretation of what is traditionally a male genre of harmony singing...
Wow. What a great cover - especially as I associate the original with the piano tones so much. You really did a good job with using a guitar and the looping pedals in this version.
If you had a clean version this would be so dope. But in it's raw edition this is very good. I love it. But if you were in a 48 or even a 24 track studio this would be apple pie ala mode
Hey Isadora! Thanks for your comment :) I use a Boss RC-300 with my guitar and microphone as inputs. It's really fun - I recommend trying it! It's hard to get your rhythms really tight but with lots of practice it works!
So good you are a singer ! Orinoco Flow is a great song I think
Absolutely beautiful!
If there's been a better one-person cover of this song I'm blowed if I've heard it.
Brilliant!! Btw, cheers from Peru! 😆

@@florenceglen I listen to you sing this in my hot tub!
Love it! I can hear the ghostbusters theme in my head over it when the loop comes in around 1:33 😃.
Haha just listened back and it's so true, fits quite well!
I can't even pat my head and rub my stomach at the same time so I'm impressed...Great cover

Hello Antônio, do you like the original better and not like the cover or not like the song in general? Just curious
Two words, bloody awful
Lets see you do better then 🌚
