The opening vocals are very different than anything I can remember MJK doing before.. lot of breath heavy stuff like early Tool, but almost grunge sounding.. kinda gets cleaner as it progresses but the music is very reminiscent of "money shot" era Puscifer.. the new album is looking good so far.. then we'll get a live studio version, remix album, live tour version and 153 variants of each on vinyl lmao

This sounds like an aging boomer/Gen Xer with too much money trying to squeeze out a few more bucks with minimal effort. "Everything Now" by Arcade Fire is better than this, and im not even an Arcade Fire fan. Just like Tool, yhis is music for suburbanites with zero actual problems in life.

You like Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer? Tool's early work was a little too progressive metal for my taste. But when Ænima came out in '96, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a deep, intricate sound, and a new level of technical precision that really gives the songs a big boost. They've been compared to bands like King Crimson, but I think Tool has a far more introspective, philosophical sense of depth. In '06, Puscifer released "V" Is for Vagina, their most eclectic album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "The Humbling River". A song so haunting, most people probably don't grasp the full meaning of the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the journey of life and the struggles we face. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.
