Played it once, it was a let down. Controls were buggy, some of the missions were useless, others were long and boring. The maps were too big and you couldn't clear them for coins etc. Everything about it was just too complex and to complicated. The complete saga was peak in its simple complexity
One problem I had was the lack of co-operative AI partners, in previous games if you stand on one pressure plate to maybe, open a door, your partner would stand on the other one, in this game you have to switch characters in order to achieve that. I would say more about this game but I haven’t played through it more than once and haven’t though about it much since, I could’ve told more problems 2 years ago
i couldnt agree more. i was so excited to play it through my first time but i cant even bring myself to play through it again. its a stunningly beautiful game but the levels just get so boring and each star wars episode feels extremely short
I enjoy roaming around the planets once I a while but yeah I’ve only played through the main story once. I think it would be fun to play through the story in coop with a friend, but otherwise just not really worth a repeat play through.
@FakeGamingFacts yeah meanwhile I've played through complete saga and lego star wars 3 a number of times. Just the whole game feels kinda rushed to me. Beautiful game but feels like it's super short
@@FakeGamingFactsIts easy to assume local co-op would improve it, but in this specific case it actually makes it far worse; as it exacerbates and draws attention to critical flaws. For one, the change to a third person closer angle - instead of the more top down angle of previous entries - reduces the FOV and also means the screen cannot be split dynamically horizontally. This leads to a vertical split which obliterates the FOV further and leads to even more issues. Most pertinently, is the oversized and cluttered HUD which, when doubled and placed on each half of the screen, makes navigating unnecessarily difficult. Aiming down sights thus becomes annoying and using the force is an absolute shitshow where the game struggles to keep your character in frame, ultimately failing to do so and resorting to focussing entirely on the object being moved --though without a character for reference theres no point. This all makes playing through missions exhausting, but that exhaustion quickly becomes rewarded with boredom when entering into bossfights. Take the Anakin vs Obi Wan fight for example. Unlike in the original game, player 1 controls Obi Wan while player 2 controls C-3PO. Real fun for player 2. Even in the instances where both players are crucial characters, such as the maul fight, the boss is programmed so terribly that it will only attack one player. So after about 30 seconds, whoever it hasnt locked onto will realise theres no point in them being there.
I'm tempted want to buy it during the steam sale because I have only played TCS and TFA but pretty much all of my favourite characters being paywalled is a turnoff for me. Sure, it's just a few bucks but I could buy something else with that.
Honestly on sale, I think it is definitely worth the money, especially if you’ve enjoyed previous Lego Star Wars games. But yeah the dlc characters thing is very annoying
the perfect 3 words to describe that game, wow

Sometimes simple is better

@Basisreallycool Wow, I’ve never actually tried split screen yet, disappointing to hear it’s not implemented well at all

@@FakeGamingFacts As heretic as it sounds, the new mechanics might be refreshing to me but I was surprised by how lackluster some seemed :(

shii would be better if the ai can actually shoot you. I swear you can stand still infront of any enemy and they will miss no matter what
Lore accurate storm trooper aim😂
I loved Lego Star Wars TCS but I didn’t even finish the Skywalker Saga. Imo there’s just way too much
There is definitely A LOT to do
@@FakeGamingFacts I feel like the phrase quantity over quality works best here honestly
