A more effective pricing strategy would involve basing it on the cost of a typical three-bedroom semi, with conservatories and extensions priced separately, usually starting at £5. The £1 per window model is outdated, having been used 20 years ago and has since doubled. At minimum, the price should be around £20. When I first started, I was told that your minimum charge should match what a local barber charges-and it's now hard to find a barber charging less than £20.
@@uniteallaction I agree that £1 a window is to low but in some areas it’s not. It all depends on where you live. The problem with basing it on a 3 bed semi is that in some areas especially rural areas. The area I work there is nothing like a 3 bed semi and unless you have the experience you will struggle to work it out. I was trying to give an model of how you can price completely different jobs as a beginner with little experience
IMO your chucking money away with the moasure lets face it your pricing to the point surley you know roughly by just looking at the job same as gutters on avg £80 for a terraced property (up North) you need to draw a line and just give a price without going over the top and spending extra on something thats just not necessary
£17.50 for that pub in 2024 no way maybe 20/30 years ago not today easily £30 to £40 quid. That wouldn't even pay for the expenses tax insurance so it's well underpriced.
Great video this Dave one of better ones on RUclips 👌🏻

I price my work on the value I bring to the customer, regular cleans are fine, but it's the emergency cleans we're I make my money,
This was just a beginners guide so that they could have a system that they could repeat.

I wouldn't even do that house too much effort the customers not going to want to pay £50 quid
@@uniteallaction out of interest what area do you live
@squeakycleandave1 Northern Ireland one of the most underprivileged places in the UK with the lowest average wage for population the uk.
A bit cheap pricing Dave.
The prices are just meant as an example as it changes depending where you are. Its more of a repeatable system I was going for
