@@backonpro5679 I'm not sure if CPKC is truly going for the era look. They're running the 2816 to Mexico purely for the "Look how awesome we are!" factor (you know UP would do the same thing with 4014 if they were suddenly able to own routes across 3 different countries). The vintage equipment I gather is to represent the company remaining true to their roots while the hydrogen unit representing what CPKC aims to do in the future. I doubt it will actually do any work since the support infrastructure isn't widely available, but I bet everywhere they are scheduled to stop for an exhibition they'll open it up as a showpiece for the public to "Ooo" and "Ahh" over just to show how progressive this company wants to be.
I guess we can assume the 2816 will leave each city she'll be stopping at 2 days after her display day, just she did here? It's a little annoying that CPKC still has not released a more detailed schedule
@@davidmcdougall7040 They've released a list of the days when it will be on public display. They say nothing about what days the engine will be traveling, when it will arrive or depart each city, or where it will stop for servicing.
Another breaking It friend amazing video greetings from México
May this steam train and its passengers have a safe and wonderfull trip.

Nice for the hydrogen locomotive to tag along. Come on, 2816! Make the world proud!
Not really. Ruins the era look completely, and doesn’t match with anything else in consist

@@backonpro5679 Yep! I heard 1001 was being removed from the consist in Medicine Hat before continuing eastbound.
I can't believe it's happening!
That takes me back a long time ago when my mom would say "look, there's a choo choo train"
Good luck and godspeed CP #2816.
Wonderful. Thank you for sharing. Since I am in Ontario I am glad to see the video.

Kind of funny how there isn't a single piece of equipment with the new logo.
Good video and interesting line up (consist)

Nice catch
Godspeed 2816!
They really tried sneaking the hydrogen loco on there 🤣💀
Steam returns to CPKC!
I heard that the hydrogen loco was dropped from the consist.
Yes, in Medicine Hat at the end of the first day.
