    3:55 the backing art pieces are all over the place. i tink they're supposed to be more representative of the toys than the actual universe, kinda like playing as Jango against palpatine in lego star wars or something.
    the sculpt on that battle droid is really great!! would have loved if it were matte to be more accurate and to highlight the sculpt, but hey, still a nice figure.
    this thing looks great!!! i love everything about it, honestly! it's kinda odd that its head opens up and can fit a figure, since that's canonically where the vulture droid's brain is, especially when it's done in such an odd (and honestly cool) way, but i won't turn down an excuse to get a battle droid.

    Thanks for the good look at this toy, Dave. I might pick one of these up if they do a Naboo N-1 so it has a buddy to fight against.

      @@ThePointsofArticulationThere’s supposed to be some Episode I vehicles coming later this year as it’s the 25th Anniversary so an N-1 is very likely!

    That uh-oh at the end. xD
    The fact that this Vulture droid is able to turn into the ground mode already makes it a win, despite needing to parts form. But damn, I feel scared by the sounds of the clicking when extending and retracting the wings. Sounds like it could break off with too much force.
    Also with regards to the droid pilot, canonically the Vulture droid is autonomous, however I believe the droid pilot is a reference to the Star Wars Battlefront games where the player as a battle droid can walk up to the Vulture droid and 'pilot' it. Most Lego models of the Vulture also have this cockpit feature.

      I used to love battlefront, i have so many fond memories of the original bf 1-2.
      Haha you're the only person to comment on that uh oh lol!!
      The wings just have some tight ratchet joint on those opening parts. I doubt they will break. Honestly I grabbed two. One for flight and one for the ground mode haha.

    Great review! I've been in such a mood to pull out all the Episode I toys for the 25th anniversary! I can't believe Luke's Landspeeder is going to be a chase though...

      Episode I may not be everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed it a lot Star Wars had to start somewhere haha. Plus I have great memories with that film. I have some of those toys and they were great!
      Omg the land speeder is a huge head scratcher. Every line makes one of those haha.

    It’s a nice ship and highly detailed but it’s unfortunate that Jazwares couldn’t get the wing transformation to work without making 2 sets of separate wings like Galoob with the Action Fleet Trade Federation Droid Fighter which used just the one pair. Love the inclusion of the Battle Droid though, a good start for building a Droid Army! As for the artwork it seems they’re just having fun with it and not making it film or tv show accurate. One example that comes to mind is the Trade Federation colour scheme AATs being on Geonosis in Series 2 artwork which I’m pretty sure never happened. Also I think others have vehicles that didn’t even exist yet on their box art.

    What does "chase vechicle" mean?

    • @ThePointsofArticulation
      @ThePointsofArticulation  6 месяцев назад +1

      Great question! Chase vehicle refers to a new mold or paint variant that is rare that everyone seems to want. They call them chase because it's a must have item that people run to grab up.
