In this video, I am installing the Diamond-Eye 162004 3” stainless steel downpipe in my #obsford #powerstroke
There is no one right way to do these, starts with cutting the old one out with a sawzall, cutting and bending the pinch seam on the firewall then maneuvering the new pipe in.
Makes a little difference around town but you really feel the difference on the highway. Psssst psssst.
Feel free to hit me up on insta @bryanbuilt360 if you have any questions!

Whoop whoop!!! Nice upgrade!!!! Hell ya.
Yeah dude, actually breathing on the highway now. Made a big difference! Looking forward to see what it did for MPGs
Zf5?? And do you mean part number 162004
Also did you have to dent the pipe at the bell housing
Shoot, would have to go back and watch if I fumbled up ZF5 and the kit part number somewhere.
I did not have to dent the pipe, just really had to get space and clearance the firewall
@@bryanbuilt360 awesome thank you just making sure because I have the 5spd and the manufacturer said it’s not recommended blah blahh
@@Doingitwithcharlie yeah, shouldn’t have to dent the pipe, i had to slice the cab seam and really wail on it with the block of wood
Does the top half of the downpipe go in all the way to the bottom half?
@@josesolis7637 what’s happening? So I played around with it so it wasn’t rubbing the firewall or anything and made sure it lined up well with the rest of the exhaust
@bryanbuilt360 the aftermarket one is in 2 peices, and I can't get the bottom half to slide in all the way into the pocket of the top half
@@josesolis7637 I just had mine out yesterday, I start with getting the clamp and top pipe attached to the turbo snug, with the bottom, I pushed up far then had to bring it down a bit to match up with the mid pipe flange. Then made the u bolt snug and put it sup as far as I could without rubbing the transmission. Hope that helps!
@bryanbuilt360 thanks! So it doesn't have to go all the way into the pocket?
@@josesolis7637 it does not, but enough to where the U Clamp will be able to hold them together 😎
