Looks like a nice camera, would be nice to see another review with it. Still I guess it is mainly the photographer who makes the picture :-) I like the one with the reflections best. Thanks for sharing
I got the prints and in print the are so much nicer than on RUclips. Also the xpan zine really impressed me. The Berlin shoots in the zine add pretty nicely to your recent videos. Thanks again, two of the prints are already framed and on the wall
i guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Tyson Neil I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Thank you for the fun review. If the battery dies. Set the shutter to the lightning bolt. Now it’s a fixed 1/30 of a second. Use sunny 16 and keep shooting. I have been shooting with the first generation electro 35 for five years. Never had battery problems. It is a joy to shoot. Chris
Because of you, I bought one and restored it. Bought it for a little over $20 with electrical problems and didn't have many hoped of using it beyond the 'box speed' but, after finally getting time, and not being willing to throw in the towel, I got it working again :D
The Electro 35 was my first Rangefinder and my first vintage camera repair when I got back into photography in 2009 or so and I still love it, even after owning many many many other cameras. I know this video is 2 years old, but I'd love to see you shoot this more, especially some BW. I find it really likes XP2 with an orange filter, and I've added a nice silver square lens hood and take it alongside my M240 with 35mm. And I love hearing that Ka-thunk of the pad...very unique.
It's been a pleasure as always 😉. I like the images a lot and I think the Yashica does a great job. My favorite picture ist the minimalistic shot with the lady. Thanks and I look forward to another video.
The colours you're getting from the Fuji film are just wonderful. Such a lovely organic feel to the photos. I'll have to try a roll in my Canon A-1 next time I'm out shooting street.
Both the double exposure images turned out great, but the second is magical. The first shot with the reflections is also excellent. Another fine outing! 📷
11:30 - Quite an interesting shot, seeing as the shadow of the pillar looks to be going to the left, but the shadow of the couple goes to the right. Some lucky optical shadow trickery there :)
Your images are great to see. I have that camera but haven’t actually used it yet so I’m pleasantly pleased to see it’s capable of delivering some really great results. Take care.
My favorite rangefinder to use outside of Leica. It does really nice work with Tri-X and that lens. 1.7 is a bit soft for me but I’ll shoot 2.8 and still get some nice street portraits or whatever.
Beautiful work ! Love the images. Just got some Industrial 100 to try, cannot wait. Also that camera is so affordable, great place for folks to start their film journey !
Oh yeah ! It was a lucky day, compositions and light are great. You choose the perfect film for this place, you have find the good situations, and chance was clearly with you on this day, cause the no intentional double exposure are absolutely fabulous. Great time for me watching your videos.
Just a few days ago I shot Fuji Industrial 100 for the first time, too, and I am really pleased by the colors and the tonality of this film. Fun fact - I bought the film a few months ago in Berlin when I stayed there for a few days. I strolled around the government quarter like you and took a lot of shots there. So, your video is kind of a nice reminder of my summer trip. And as always, very nice shots, Robin👍😉👋!
I really like the colors of Fuji Industrial 100. Fun fact: this camera was used in the film The Amazing Spiderman by Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield). After the movie came out, the camera and even the same strap were highly sought after but luckily prizes never got as high as the Yashica T4 prizes.
Just picked this camera up the other day. this was the first video I looked at to get some reference photos taken with the camera and it looks amazing! I love that mini double exposure effect you got
Sometimes I use two zip ties to make a DIY focusing tab. I also fiddle with the iso dial a lot for exposure compensation when I'm using mine. :) It was my first rangefinder and would probably be my "one" camera if I had to choose one.
I’ve had a couple of these cameras. They helped cement my love for rangefinders. The first worked great and I loved it so much, but then it died unexpectedly. I tried to get it fixed, but it wasn’t repairable.. the second worked ok, but never really felt the same, so I saved a little while and got a Leica to replace it. I really miss the Yashica’s lens though. Also..there sure seems to be a lot of people out shooting where you are in this video.
6:59 Present and future... Excellent shot. I was interested to know how you handle the 45mm. I have a Minolta Hi-Matic 7s with the same focal length. If you can get it, it's a great camera. Cheers!!
Great stuff, Robin! For a print, I like the minimal one the most (9:25), as a photograph though, I think the double exposure is the best. Would be fun to see you shooting with a Bessa R2/3/4 in a future video ✌️
I guess it takes confidence to fire that shutter, which helps us build up speed shooting street photography. I really enjoyed this video and more so your images 👍🏻
This video reminded me that I bought one of these cameras once and it arrived broken and then I left it at a friend's house by accident and now it's probably gone forever. It also reminded me that I really miss Berlin.
Great clear pictures well focused, color and light balance. This type of Yashica Electro 35 had great reputation and was compared with great cameras in its time. Also it's a great film camera for street photography because it is quite. Every time I'm looking at picture results, I'm impressed. Of course, with a real photographer, it's a bonus. 👍
to prevent double exposure, you can tape a small flat piece of plastic (or even a thick enough cardboard) to protect that film-release button. Use Painter's tape, or gaffer tape to hold protection in place. I've got a working copy of this camera. As a rule for all cameras, I use lens hoods, so I have one on this camera. My intention is for BW photos that I develop and print or scan. Haven't actually put film through this camera yet, but I'm very pleased with the viewfinder, and the focusing image that the viewfinder provides. (The reason for not shooting with this camera yet is that I am still calibrating my film processing flow so as to maximize end results. I'm using manual nikon for this testing.) Once I settle on a development method for differing contrast conditions, I'll apply the best ISO to support making good negatives. Then each roll of film will be committed to a particular development method. I can carry multiple cameras, if needed, each loaded with film having its own ISO, so as to support varying contrast conditions on any particular shooting session.
I had a Yashica MG-1 - the pictures it took were fine but I always thought it felt a bit tinny and light. So I sold it. Really nice images in the video.
The last photo is truly a great moment. When I saw the video of you about to snap the shot, and the couple started kissing I went "wow it got even better!"
As always nice pics Robin. Could you try this Yashica with some B&W film? Results in colour are great, and see results en B&W and compare will be a nice video. Regards!!
I would love to see more with this camera. Film has such character already and various pieces of gear only add to that depth. Another enjoyable video! Regards, Daryl from Portland.
Thank you for this video. I have this camera and it's been a blast shooting with it. I've been looking for a video where someone was actually using it.
Love the video, love Yashica Electro 35 GSN, I'm proud owner of one exsample 🙂 Lens is beautiful and exposure system is great. I would like to see more videos featuring this camera. Thank you 👍
The lens is wonderful. I've had 2 and still have one, but I have found I prefer the Minolta HiMatic (7 or 9) because you can shoot automatically or manually.
I was thinking of selling my yashica electro 35 which by the way I bought it new in the box. But with this video you have convinced me not to. Thanks for your videos. Gracias
Nice video, great camera, thanks for uploading. May I add that I find the 45mm lens doesn’t suit you bad at all, brings out new composition ideas to your artistic spectrum... definetly should try a 50mm on your Leica.
Looks like a nice camera, would be nice to see another review with it. Still I guess it is mainly the photographer who makes the picture :-) I like the one with the reflections best. Thanks for sharing
Congratulations, you are the winner of the prints. Can you shoot me a message over on Instagram or through my website? :)
I got the prints and in print the are so much nicer than on RUclips. Also the xpan zine really impressed me. The Berlin shoots in the zine add pretty nicely to your recent videos. Thanks again, two of the prints are already framed and on the wall

Wait how does that work? I just got my hands on this as a gift from someone, can you please explain it to me
Because of you, I bought one and restored it. Bought it for a little over $20 with electrical problems and didn't have many hoped of using it beyond the 'box speed' but, after finally getting time, and not being willing to throw in the towel, I got it working again :D

5.6 seems like a great sweet spot for street photography. nice mix of bokeh and zone focusing
Great photos, as always. My favourite is the first one: geometric, yet an aquatic, dynamic feeling to it.
It’s like, everywhere he walks, people just start posing artistically like it’s staged yet so candid. I love it!
It's been a pleasure as always 😉.
I like the images a lot and I think the Yashica does a great job.
My favorite picture ist the minimalistic shot with the lady. Thanks and I look forward to another video.

Great photos as always and keeps getting better. No matter what camera you are using the output is always on point. Thanks for sharing.
This is such a cool looking camera tbh, I love the little atom logo. The photos are amazing as usual!
The photo of the dog has something amazing! Both the dog and the double exposed girl are looking at the viewer.
Love the way you film your city walks and add the pics as clicks. Really like the collars of this film 👍🏼
Great video! Also, Spiderman's camera, and you created a brand new sentence. "The guy was barefoot, but at least he had a smart phone."
Legit here because I bought this camera for cosplay to wear to No Way Home :)
@@IsaacGeisenburg Dedication. 👏
10:37 best picture in this ep sir. Amazing moment !
Both the double exposure images turned out great, but the second is magical. The first shot with the reflections is also excellent. Another fine outing! 📷
I picked up an Electro 35 a few months ago. I’ve only put one roll through it but I love it. And that lady laying down photo 👌
11:30 - Quite an interesting shot, seeing as the shadow of the pillar looks to be going to the left, but the shadow of the couple goes to the right. Some lucky optical shadow trickery there :)
I’m in love with your use of empty space in shots
Your images are great to see. I have that camera but haven’t actually used it yet so I’m pleasantly pleased to see it’s capable of delivering some really great results. Take care.
Thank you!
I love that you featured the Yashica. I bought I’ve recently and I love shooting with it.
I think these are some of my favourites images I have seen you take in a video
Great pictures! It shows that it’s not (only) camera which makes the pictures. Love the one with the reflection
My favorite rangefinder to use outside of Leica. It does really nice work with Tri-X and that lens. 1.7 is a bit soft for me but I’ll shoot 2.8 and still get some nice street portraits or whatever.
Street photographers are always amazing, huge respect! :D
Beautiful work ! Love the images. Just got some Industrial 100 to try, cannot wait. Also that camera is so affordable, great place for folks to start their film journey !
Nice Collab with Carmencita...both of you are great
Another nice roll! Good work, Robin
Thanks Hashem! :)

Berlin, and all the photos... very easy on the eyes. Nicely done.
Just a few days ago I shot Fuji Industrial 100 for the first time, too, and I am really pleased by the colors and the tonality of this film. Great images as usual, great rendering from the lens and Fuji Industrial 100 film.
Nice prints. My favourite is also the last double exposure.
Love that camera, had one for couple years. Such a joy to use
Just picked this camera up the other day. this was the first video I looked at to get some reference photos taken with the camera and it looks amazing! I love that mini double exposure effect you got
Enjoy shooting your new camera!
Those images at wide open ( especially the one at 2:04 ) are actually pretty good! Great video as always 👍🏽🔥
Sir Robin half man half amazing with any tool the second image just amazing keep it up mate
surprised at how sharp all the photos looked, nice camera and film. Also the shots from this episode are very satisfying from a composition POV, nice!
Sometimes I use two zip ties to make a DIY focusing tab. I also fiddle with the iso dial a lot for exposure compensation when I'm using mine. :) It was my first rangefinder and would probably be my "one" camera if I had to choose one.
nice idea....
That’s pretty clear that the double exposures are related to the re-wind knob on the bottom of the cam. The film turned very well
I’ve had a couple of these cameras. They helped cement my love for rangefinders. The first worked great and I loved it so much, but then it died unexpectedly. Love these images from this film and they look great as prints! I think the double exposures really worked out!
Cool camera. Excellent photos as usual Robin, no matter the tool.
Really nice camera! I buy GSN week ago and you video was very helpful for me, because I never shoot on film cameras before.
6:59 Present and future... Excellent shot. I was interested to know how you handle the 45mm. I have a Minolta Hi-Matic 7s with the same focal length. If you can get it, it's a great camera. Cheers!!
Fantastic set of images (and prints). Love the film too. It was really a beautiful day to shoot.
The light was gorgeous this day!!
I'm enjoying your videos and I've started to dig out my old film cameras for something different to do. Keep up the good work!
It’s a great camera. The lens on this thing is really good, as is the viewfinder and rangefinder patch.
Really love the colour of this film 💚
Great stuff, Robin! For a print, I like the minimal one the most (9:25), as a photograph though, I think the double exposure is the best.
Would be fun to see you shooting with a Bessa R2/3/4 in a future video ✌️
Hello from New Zealand. One of my favourite films to shoot street photography with. Wish I had bought a lot more of it when I was in Japan last year.
Great images! I’ve got an Olympus trip 35 and love the compact fixed lens rangefinder experience!
I guess it takes confidence to fire that shutter, which helps us build up speed shooting street photography. I really enjoyed this video and more so your images 👍🏻
I have an electro and havent used it in about 3 years.... im mtivated to take the camera out now. Thanks for creating this and sharing.
Great episode, thank you for sharing :) Now i need to hunt down even more filmstock.
Great video! The fuji colours really show in this film...soft pastels...I picked up a few rolls of this...keen to try them out!
The graphic simplicity of the woman lying on the ground is my favourite. The dog double exposure my second...
Looking at your latest videos I realise I miss Berlin
Thanks for this video, decided to purchase my GSN as well, hooray. Love ur prints with those rough borders
I own a YASHICA MG 1, very similar to the GSN, but I find it hard to reach the fucusing ring too
I've been thinking about getting this camera. I'm glad you shot with it. Thanks 🤓
The first print is my favorite. It's very interesting!
This video reminded me that I bought one of these cameras once and it arrived broken and then I left it at a friend's house by accident and now it's probably gone forever. It also reminded me that I really miss Berlin.
Very nice camera, was going to get the Yashica too, but then bought a Contax G. Beautiful pictures, great.
Great clear pictures well focused, color and light balance. This type of Yashica Electro 35 had great reputation and was compared with great cameras in its time. Also it's a great film camera for street photography because it is quite.

I was thinking of getting in camera, this video made me go for it!
I have a black Yashica MG-1 who looks the same but with a 2.8 lens. Fuji Industrial colors looks very nice 👌
Great video! It’s a cool camera, very affordable and that lens is really sharp. It would be awesome to see the electro 35 at night!
Another great episode keep up the great work
I had a Yashica MG-1 - the pictures it took were fine but I always thought it felt a bit tinny and light. So I sold it. Really nice images in the video.
Hope I’m not too late. Either way, loved this vid 🤩.Especially like the people playing the violin and the older gentleman in orange.
Echt cool alles was du machst! Danke!! Die Bilder sind Hammer!!
The last photo is truly a great moment. When I saw the video of you about to snap the shot, and the couple started kissing I went "wow it got even better!"
Too good, always very lovely photos. 🙏📸
I'm tempted to buy a film rangefinder, will take a look at this Yashica. Nice video!

Lens is beautiful and exposure system is great.
I would like to see more videos featuring this camera.
Thank you 👍
I was just about to buy this camera, coincidence that you posted this just now! Cool phots.
Great video! I’m definitely picking one of your zines.
Happy I found your channel. Great video and pictures.
Please do more videos with it!! I like it when you make videos with more achievable cameras like this, unlike the Leica and the Hasselblad.
The lens is wonderful. I've had 2 and still have one, but I have found I prefer the Minolta HiMatic (7 or 9) because you can shoot automatically or manually.
It's my first time watching a video from you. I love your photos! and Berlin seems to be very street photography - friendly hahaha subscribed!! :)
Welcome! :)
I was thinking of selling my yashica electro 35 which by the way I bought it new in the box. But with this video you have convinced me not to. Thanks for your videos. Gracias
Yes, more videos about this camera please!
love the images and your style!
Nice pictures with an interesting camera!!
Nice video, great camera, thanks for uploading. May I add that I find the 45mm lens doesn’t suit you bad at all, brings out new composition ideas to your artistic spectrum... definetly should try a 50mm on your Leica.
Thanks Robin, purchased checked one because on you at 100 eur including shipping..
Interesting camera. I got me a relatively cheap rangefinder yesterday, the Revue 400 SE, and I can't wait to shoot it. :)
Great result even with the double exposure !!
Nice review of the Yashica Electro 35, I have two of them which I still use from time to time, a great camera capable of beautiful results.
Was the camera my dad too all my childhood photos, so I had to get one as well. :D The silver camera is great, but the black version is stunning.
i love that first print
