Yep, just watched SDFS's video from Tuesday, same issues, cover lots of miles and it ends up "being in the right place at the right time". The dirty red tide is nuts how far out it still there.
I now use cdip.ucsd.edu/m/products/buoy_ww3/?stn=201p1¶m=waveHs&pub_set=public. for surf conditions and www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=220&siteID=1805&Isection=Forecast+Graphs for wind conditions.
I have one and took it out a few times. I hand launched and landed it. But while fishing on a very small craft ( not a boat) it is just too much to worry about. If the weather reports were more on point, then you wouldn't need to worry about the Mavic Mini having a fly away due to higher winds or gusts. It is a nice vantage point and actually don't need to fly very high to see far away.
@that's true yes I thought it had passed. Last two trip I saw it in areas and the further out it still in some spots. It a real weird year as far as I'm concerned. The fish are still bitting but the red tide has had an effect. Mostly I don't how it can affect the taste, but after seeing what it comes out of, I think it affects your taste buds.
Rough season brother.
