Lawrence should do the right thing... Call Dennis.

Actually I just remembered I first saw Gowan opening up for the Kinks at Maple Leaf Gardens.

Larry is an awesome representative of our 'older' generation who have seen Toronto and the world mature, grow and age. Thanks for sharing your memories with all of us!!

Saw Styx on 8/2 in Columbus, Ohio. Seeing Styx was on my bucket list, waited 45 years to make it happen. Awesome show!

Larry's brother Pat was one of my hockey coaches waaaaaaaaay back in 1991

How many brothers does he have? I have heard of Terry, who plays guitar in his solo tours, so Pat is a second brother? Nice!

It's so sad to see these great celebrities now looking like any other old fogie.

Hey @baldbollocks! First of all, thank you so much for watching and taking the time to write, we are sincerely humbled!
Secondly, Lawrence Gowan has been touring consistently for 40 years, selling out an insane amount of venues, and doing it during Solo shows as well as with Styx. He is travelled, experienced, incredibly-talented, and one of the nicest people ever. There is nothing sad about he or his life. Oh ya, forgot to mention: his hair is to die-for!

Nice guy but he will pass to be known as a second class bad replacement for Dennis DeYoung.
    Sad

Definitely don't agree with you, but music is for everyone to enjoy in their own way, and not everyone will agree with everyone 😊 He's been in Styx for almost 30 years, so not sure how bad of a replacement he's been. Thanks so much for spending time watching in any case, we really appreciate it ❤

It's not just that he replaced him, he's more like an impersonator, that's his job, and it rubs a lot of people the wrong way. It would just be better if they worked it out with Dennis but it'll never happen. JY and their manager run the band now, not Tommy.
