My grandfather after ww2 was really in to bikes which I have his shovelhead ,the newest bike he ever owned lol but he use to run midget cars with a panhead with one cylinder he said you would get higher rpms out of it. Love the bike!
I love listening to a m,an who knows what hes talking about. I ran world of series for a long time from 440 all the way to 800cc (2 stroke) Won in 02 and 03, then retired and spent a few years on boosted 4 strokes. Even with a race pack and data collector its tough to get around having an accurate air density guage to set your mains by,,and ,, a nice keen eye for a plug read. Whats the comp ratio youre running here? how much timing yanked back, and at that altitude, what are you getting by with on octane? Did I hear you say youre running spray? how are you making fuel compensation at wot and spray?
Tatro Machine I hear what you're saying . Impossible to tune race day . We generally cleared a track on the ice for tuning on the 660 footer . 116 octane was always enough to make knock compensations for the ratio and timing . 2 strokes are a far easier game than having to worry about valves and lift and duration . Adjust squish ,set rotary valve timing, adjust ignition timing ,adjust carb tune . Vm 44's with a slight throat overbore made the fuel delivery almost effortless as long as you have a clue where to start . Only thing we had that is fairly specific is primary and secondary clutch setup . Ramp weights ,angles ,springs. Lol I think my job was a lot easier than yours . Plenty to be said about adjustable curves in a brain box and really on a drag strip for a cpl initial tenths on a 6 second run ,is it worth it . I'm still not sure
didn't blow it up. look at the next video in the playlist. it got hot and did't like being super lean on the new nitro but cooled off some after i hit the flood button on the handlebar. it wasn't happy but i could have made more runs if i knew i did't hurt it on that run. next time i will make sure it is done before i call it a day. tatro
Thanks again Tatro. Your videos, especially LSR, are big help going through chemo infusion treatment.

That press guy really liked your bike
Wow... good to see the flats
Why the hell does you cameraman keep filming the sky?
what is the ratio of the sprockets? How many teeth on each
20/37 teeth. was 19/40. going 21t next. tons of power off the line but need way more on top. nitro builds tons of torque.

If I did not live 3000 miles away, I would make some great videos. Have the equipment to do so. Need a Go Pro on the bike.
