Can you test with the 8, 9, and PW with the 223s vs the i230. I have the 223 - which are a combo set more of less. Issue I have is the forgiveness goes to zero in the 8-PW. They basically become the 221s from a construction POV. So I tend to struggle at the bottom of the bag as I’m not nearly as confident. 7i is a rocket as it has a Chromoly….but they tech goes away in the 8 down. Wondering if the i230s would have a different experience
Yeah the 223 short irons get pretty player-ish compared to the rest of the set. It's by design, but I know others that struggle with that too. Having seen them but not hit them, I'm confident the i230 short irons will offer more help. 👍
223; T100’s would be the comparable for i230. I hit the i230 the other day. Such a solid club and will be considering these to replace my current MP20’s. Found them to be forgiving and on balance more distance and forgiveness. Found they launch higher. I play the Left Dash and found the ball can make a big difference in terms of balancing out ball flight. Certainly going in the Christmas list!
@@oldandstiff yeah... i've waited for years. I liked the i59 much better than the i525 but want more forgiveness. HMP or JPX Forged seem to be the competition for them right now
@@ermangus That sounds like a solid competition. Three progressively longer and more forgiving irons. If you're as high spin as you say, 923 Forged might be interesting.
