  • The days of Eid are from Allaah, we can't make up our own days of Eid!
We Muslims have three main sets of Eid
    a) Weekly Eid, the Fridays! [yes, every Friday is a day of Eid]
    b) Eid Al-Fitr [only one day, the Islamic date is 1st of Shawwal]
    c) Eid Al-Adha [we have total five days of Eid]
    Hadith 1:
    Narrated 'Ammar bin Abi 'Ammar:
"Ibn Abbas recited: This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion (5:3). And a Jew was with him who said: 'If this Ayah was revealed to us then we would have taken that day as a day of celebration.' So Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Indeed it was revealed on two 'Eids: On Friday, and on the Day of 'Arafah.'"
reported by Tirmidhi, authenticated by Sheikh Al-Albani, Al-Arnout and Shiekh Muqbil Ibn Hadee, Musnad reported it in his Musnad As-Saheeh]
    Hadith 2:
Narrated Anas ibn Malik: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to Medina, the people had two days on which they engaged in games. He asked: What are these two days (what is the significance)? They said: We used to engage ourselves on them in the pre-Islamic period. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah has substituted for them something better than them, the day of sacrifice and the day of the breaking of the fast. [reported by Abu Dawud and others, authenticated by Al-Albani, Sheikh Shuyab Al-Arnaout]
    Hadith 3:
    جامع الترمذي -- عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ وَيَوْمُ النَّحْرِ وَأَيَّامُ التَّشْرِيقِ عِيدُنَا أَهْلَ الإِسْلاَمِ وَهِيَ أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ
'Uqbah bin Amir narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: "The Day of Arafah, the Day of Nahr, and the Days of Tashriq are Eid for us. The people of Islam, and they are days of eating and drinking,"
    {reported by At-Tirmidhi and others, authenticated by Al-Albaani /Al-Wade’ee in Musnad as-saheeh 71007, who said saheeh according the condition of Muslim}

Today we will talk about how many days are in eid al adha. The eid al adha starts on dhul hijjah the 10th. We have lots of days of eid. We have the weekly eid which is jumua on the fridays. The prophet has designated this day as eid and it came from allah. This is the day allah created adam allayhisalam and he repented for eating the fruit and this day is also going to be the day of judgement. We have the 2 yearly eid. He eid al fitr and and the eid al adha. We have 1 day of eid al fitr is the first day of shawal. Eid al adha has the main day which is the day of 10th of dhul hijjah. But there also 4 days so 5 in total. So the night of al arafah, the 10th of dhul hijjah, and the 11th 12th and 13th known as the days of mina.

The days of Eid is given to us by Allah subhanawatallah. We can not decide which day we want as Eid. There are three main Eids for Muslims. The first one is a weekly Eid, which takes place every Friday. The second Eid is the first day of Shawwal and occurs after the month of Ramadan ends. The last Eid is Eid al adha which is five days long. The five days include the day of Arafah, the day of nahr, and the days of tashriq. During this Eid an animal is normally slaughtered.

      Ass-salaamualaikum
here is the answer that you requested sister:
The occasion when we have the five days of Eid is the occasion of Eid Al-AdhaThere are five days of Eid:- 1st day: Day of 'Arafah (9th of Dhul Hijjah)- 2nd day: Day of Eid Al-Adha (10th of Dhul Hijjah)- 3rd to 5th days: Days of Mina (11th to 13th of Dhul Hijjah)
What to do on these days:Day of 'Arafah: it is highly recommended to fast this day if you someone is not performing hajj. Of course if this day coincides with Saturday, we don't fast as fasting on Saturday is prohibited.
Day of Eid Al-Adha: This is the main day of Eid where the non-hajjis perform Eid salah and slaughter and enjoy this day. Fasting is prohibited for everyone. As for the people who are performing hajj, they do their rites of hajj on this day by stoning the big pillar, shaving, slaughtering of hajj, tawaf of Hajj, sa'ee between safa and marwa. They don't do eid prayer, if they wish they can also do the slaughtering of Eid other than the slaughter of hajj
Days of Mina: Fasting is prohibited for everyone except those hajjis who are doing hajje Qiran or Tamattu' and they couldn't find an animal to slaughter or the animal they bought with them died/got lost and they couldn't find any replacement. These hujjaj as an atonement must fast 10 days, 3 days in during hajj and 7 days when they return back home. These 3 days that they are supposed to fast, they can fast during the days of mina... Other than that Days of Mina are the days of eating, drinking and dhikr of Allaah.
There are the three types of takbeer on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha:a) General takbeer at any time during the first 13 days of Dhul hijjahb) Special takbeer starting from the fajr of Arafah to Asr of the 13th of Dhul Hijjah after every obligatory prayerc) Special takbeer on the day of Eid starting from home and ending with the Imam leading Salah
this is in short what you asked for.

There are several Eids. The Eid that occurs most frequently is the Eid of Friday or the weekly Eid. The Day of Judgement is also on Friday. Every year we have Eid Al Adha and Eid Al Fitr. The Eid Al Adha has five days. They are the days of Hajj as well. The main day of Eid Al Adha is Dhul Hijjah.

The days of Eid are not up to us to decide, it is up to Allah. There are lots of days of Eid, the weekly eid ( jumuah ) and the yearly, eid Al fitr( the first day of Shawwal) and eid Al adha ( day of slaughtering and four other days, first is dhul Hijjah, 11th - 13th of hajj also ) eid is also a very special time. Allah wants us to worship him on these days.

There are three Eid’s. One is on every Friday. It qualifies as Eid because it is a special day. It is Jumuah day. The second one is Eid Ul-Fitr. It happens at the end of every Ramadan. We must not fast on this day (Or any of the other Eid’s) Eid means feast. The third one is Eid Al- Adha. This one is five days long, or lasts five days. The main day of Eid Al-Adha is the 10th of Dhul Hijjah. This Eid is from the 9th day to the 14th day.
