One of the best things about Johan's singing is that it is VERY articulate! It is really easy to hear what he is singing and it never takes away from the heavyness or epicness, it only adds to it!
i was able to hear them in real life, and hell. That feeling and power in the concert was brutally. When it was comes to this song everyone was just ready to do the OARR together.
They‘ re playing at the Summer Breeze Festival next Year in my Hometown in Dinkelsbühl/Bavaria/ Germany…. J‘ m already looking forward it…Raise the Horns😂😂
definitely one of their better song in the recent discography! I love their old school stuff so much, from their early demos up to "Fate of Norns" it is a gold mine! 'Valkyries Ride' 'The Sound of Eight Hooves' 'The Last With Pagan Blood' just to name a few \m/
Little corect...Quorthon from Bathory is godfather of viking style metal..listen Hammerheart album from them..Amon Amarth just continue..and with Johan voice is perfekt..
@@uhtredragnarsson8961 very very true but it wasn't until Hammerheart that they Viking. Forsberg was a man to be dealt with. He had so much talent. RIP Quorthon. Long live AA and Vikings .
@@norair1010 am big fan of Bathory and Amon Amarth..that why mention for Hammerheart, this album give great influence for any viking album..just like Twilight of the Gods and Blood on Ice..or Norland 1..
Since you are back at Amon Amarth, I just want to put this here: POWERWOLF ft. Johan Hegg - Nightside of Siberia The lead singer of AA sings in that one Powerwolf song. I mean... it can't really get any better than that.
Nice song, great video. That said...nobody likes a good snarl better than me, but if you growl the entire song I think you diminish the effectiveness of the technique. It's like using the "f" word in every sentence. After a while, it loses the power to shock. It's like restricting a string section to doublebass only. Think Epica, with the contrast between Jansen's growls, the keyboardist's screams, and Simone's contributions. Much more effective. On the other hand, while listening to this song I keep seeing Floor in Viking regalia and...oh well.

no but that dude looks alike an absolute tank so i appreciate that!
Id rather watch the music video.
I've tried listening to these guys. Every song sounds the same. No real quality at all.
