I think I have "I've lost count of how many times I've watched this video in the past six months" syndrome... Aside from its relatability, everything is perfect in this video. the music production level, his voice, the lyrics, the swing vibe, his voice, the music video, the acting, the choreography, His VOICE, the acting outside the music video, the facial expressions, did I mention his voice? And that "Monotony" part deserves its own paragraph of praise... that chorus part where goblin voices repeat the verse (i don't know the technical term for that) I keep listening to that tiny part again and again... I also listen to this song on Spotify all the time, but watching it is a whole other experience.
I love how the longer the song goes on, the more it sounds like they're trying to convince him to continue buying stuff. Like, the musical tux Daniel loses hope and just decides to use reverse psychology, or just goes crazy and tries to take Dan1 along with him. I have no idea if this makes sense
almost like trying to focus and not being able to do so "ok i am going to do this assignment, i will finish it toda-oh hey whats this 3 hour documentary about"

Same, honestly my mom has ADHD and the will you use it test has yet to fail me! See also the would you want the money more then the things your buying test in a would you rather either or
2:02 i love coming back to this part not only for it just being amazing, but that in the left you can really him singing more clearly, idkwhy bu the way he sings it is so nice. Makes my brain happy:)
This song should be the new diagnostic criteria for ADHD. It’s painfully accurate. As an ADDer myself, this song felt like a supervillain number directed at me specifically, the kind that finds the needle stuck in your soul and pushes it deeper.
I love the quintessential silly, borderline-crazy voices that sing in the background at some points. It makes for good comic relief when the actual jokes aren't being told, and even though they are just silly, they lighten up the song in a nice way when it feels more heavy.
2:20 the look he gives is scarily awesome. Also is it weird that I want a bass singer to make an acappella version of this just so that they could drop a deep bass note right at that moment?
Yepyep. Biiiig same. I have a number of interests that I've ended up accumulating collections of things for. I have so many varying art supplies from my hyperfixations jumping around that nowadays when the medium I'm interested in switches I tend to already have what I need for it. Been through so many over the years that I'm looping back around to old ones! Which is nice, because government disability support does NOT give a genuinely livable amount of money and I'm perpetually poor AF. There have been a number of months where I got too excited in the craft section of Walmart or a dollar store, or spent too much at the art store, and halfway through the month had already blown through my budget so I gotta avoid leaving the house so I don't spend any more money. Which isn't hard, I like being at home and my physical and mental health conditions make going out exhausting. Another helpful thing when I'm hyperfixating but don't have money is researching the thing a bunch, watching RUclips videos on it, and saving pins to a Pinterest board. Lets me engage with the interest and avoid boredom but without having to buy the stuff to do it myself. There are a lot of things I know in theory but not in practice because of this lol
I somehow got the ADHD that DOESN'T make me spend money at the drop of a hat, but that's mostly bc I never have any and I haven't allowed myself to get a credit card. The constantly-changing-hobbies bit is very relatable tho, A+ work
I most likely have ADHD, but it manifests in what I call the "Only 1 Dollar Syndrome". It's only 1 Dollar, I can afford to buy that! Which is how I now own over 100 unread books, my main thing to buy.
I've been suspecting I was neurodivergent in some way shape or form for some years now, and shit like what's described in this vid is one of many reasons why (that and the fact that coffee keeps me from being impulsive most of the time)
I got ADHD + Autism Autism says I must be as resource efficient as POSSIBLE. DO NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES waste a single penny on some dumb new toy that you will lose interest in after a week. ADHD says NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW THINGS TO LEARN AND UNDERSTAND and now I'm A1 level in like 20 different languages, can play Hedwig's theme on piano, have half a dozen coding projects I've started but not finished and I could tell you everything there ever was to know about non-spinning black holes but don't know the simplest thing about a spinning black hole
@@MandMs05 relatabllllllle. Art as a whole is a special interest of mine but ADHD makes me jump between art mediums all the time. Luckily since I've slowly accumulated a lot of varying art supplies I often don't have to go buy anything when my hyperfocus switches because it generally will latch onto a medium that I already have the stuff for. Love when hyperfixations loop back around and you can immediately dive into them because you already have what you need.
took me five watches to notice the multiple daniels visible on the couch next to eachother. i’m so used to just recognizing daniel’s clones/characters as separate ppl by now lol
Daniel putting out wildly high quality content with full on broadway production level music while simultaneously touring the midwest with back to back live shows (which are *so unforgettably awesome!* ) He is doing what he loves and it shows 🔥💚 (Btw the last show is tonight 8/19 in Grand Rapids, Mi if anyone is trying to go, get your tickets now bc the turnout has been insane & lines have been literally wrapping around the block!)
It's interesting that suddenly at 2:02 the captions all go from normal casing to uppercasing. Almost makes me think there's something more sinister going on in this part of the song.
yeah... this part kinda feels a lot more sinister than the rest of the song tbh. the song and the visuals that go with it at this part send chills down my spine
I cannot express enough how fast I would buy this song off of apple music or spotify or wherever Daniel would put it. It's actually an amazing song that I listen to on repeat.
I appreciate the Celiac shoutout my man! I was just diagnosed a few weeks ago. It’s been rough, but that gluten-free pants line made me a smile (as did the rest of the video). My God what a coincidence. Hahaha
Yeah, the shoutout was great. One person with Celiacic disease right here! I can't really relate to your suffering though because I was diagnosed when I was two and don't remember my life before it so I haven't gone through the change. But it will get easier and you'll get used to it pretty quikly.
I love that this is so unironically jazzy and good, though. Daniel lets us forget he's a musician for a while, but then drops something like this on us.
@@diobrando7957 Yes, but those are just short improvisions. I know a fair amount of people who could do that, just without the good humour or acting. It's videos like this that remind you just how GOOD he is.
In all seriousness, as catchy and fun as this song is, it's really helped me understand why I have so much trouble with compulsive spending. I could never figure out exactly why I keep spending money recklessly when I really, really want to save. But when I heard this, it was like "Yes! That's exactly how I feel!"
Y’know sometimes I forget that Daniel actually makes music, but when he does it’s actually really good. I kind of want him just to make music without all the sketches sometimes, like a side channel for the songs he makes.
I clicked on this knowing that I can be impulsive with shopping and it really hit hard 😅 Very fun and jazzy! Although I really appreciate seeing other people in the comments with ADHD like me talking about how common this is with us 😊 Makes me feel less alone
the music is AMAZING! also I feel this so much as someone with ADHD. I never know if I actually want something because of what it is and because I'll actually like it, or if I want it because it's new and I'll quickly get over it.
"I'm gonna force peace upon myself, even if it's the last thing I do!" For someone who has tried to meditate in this heatwave for couple of months, that's too real man 😁
I like how the sketch about the problem is followed by an ad with an actual solution. We try so hard to find meaning, purpose or happiness in something or someone but the truth is Sometimes we just need to chill out, get our thoughts straight and maybe find a doctor to help with our mental health... And don't forget about playing with a pet Everyone talking about Daniel's downfall to madness but he is legit pointing the way out of it while making us laugh
@@jade_is_tired I never used it so I don't know, but it is true that you can find a lot of bad therapists wherever you are. Even so, I like how he usually places emphasis on the importantance of not giving up trying to find a good psychiatrist who matches you. People on the internet are always doing self diagnosis and sharing misconceptions about mental illness instead of just getting proper treatment.
BetterHelp is not a solution for anything. It's mental health poison that you pay to poison you. BetterHelp almost killed one of my friends and I'm damn near on the edge from seeing their fucking sponsorships everywhere recently because no one has a fucking memory anymore.
@@carlaandressa2473 It’s not just about “bad therapists.” It’s a bad service that pays the bare minimum to the healthcare professionals who use it, resulting in it not being possible for a main job unless they overwork themselves at it; so almost any therapist you get will be either overworked on betterhelp or using betterhelp for some side income and not really caring about the quality of care because it won’t affect their private practice. Plus the service has really horrible and non-transparent billing systems, which is not something a person working on their mental health needs as a hurdle to work on their mental health. If you need mental help, nothing advertised on a youtuber’s channel is going to be the ideal. As a rule of thumb, you can usually assume that any brand that sponsors youtubers/podcasters is generally going to be overpriced and low-quality.
Okay, why isn't this video on trending? You've outdone yourself once again Daniel! Your hard work, time, energy, and effort are seen, and greatly admired. We love you, never stop. ❤
This probably wasn't the intended purpose of this jaunty little ditty, but this song actually makes me feel *less* guilty about the impulse purchase I just made. Wild.
this is such a jam. seriously. it's in my head forever now. (also i really laughed when i picked out the vocal layer that was in the same voice as the bagpipes and ukelele song haahaa)
This was lovely, kind of reminded me of Will Wood's style in a way that I never thought I'd see- however, as unlikely as it is you are to see this, it's still important to mention that Betterhelp is involved in some unsavory business practices that Actual Therapist RUclipsrs are touching on now. I'd say it's in your best interest to do deeper research into your sponsors before blindly accepting the cash.
He has mentioned before that he got a lot of help through a therapist on the app, so I guess he thinks that the whole app has a similar level of quality when it very much doesn't. There are some real therapists on the app, but unless things have changed they don't check credentials so there are a lot of untrained people posing as therapists to get money. I'm glad it worked out for him, but I hope he does research and stops doing ads for them 🙁
Daniel, I know you're sponsored by Better Help, but please reject any further deals with them. A big scandal with them happened not that long ago but basically, none of their employees are trained psychologists/therapists and you will hurt more people by letting them talk to some random person than a professional
I hate how far I had to scroll to find this, especially with so many people complimenting the fact that he sings about a problem then offers a "solution" through BetterHelp, and I was ready to comment it myself. Having used BetterHelp myself while struggling with a spending addiction, I can safely say that BetterHelp would NOT be the solution to that issue, and it's definitely not the solution to any other struggle. BetterHelp put us through so much extra stress and constantly pressured us into sticking with them and spending hundreds of dollars a month on a non-service since we barely actually had any sessions. The whole company is a scam buying out as many community therapy services as they can to create a monopoly more diabolical than Disney. Daniel needs to know that their counselors are unvetted, overworked, underpaid, and forced to take all liability for upset clients as they're made to be independent contractors with no actual independence. Topping it all off is the data selling and now the alleged connection to CareDash which is doxxing actually licensed professionals to advertise BetterHelp. It's disgusting and the fact that BetterHelp is still getting sponsor deals is really concerning.
I did some googling - from what I've read, they've done some shady business practices, and larger-than-normal percentage of their therapists are *inexperienced*, but I've found little to suggest the therapists are unlicensed (contrary, I only found statements that they ARE licensed), and being licensed, to me, suggests a fair amount of training. Do you have any references to provide, that would help clarify things?
Omg this is mad and to think I almost recommended it to my loved ones with out even knowing im glad I heard this thank you may I copy your text to repost maybe get it out there more and please people blow this up

Repent and follow Jesus my friend! Repenting doesn't mean confessing your sins to others, but to stop doing them altogether. Belief in Messiah alone is not enough to get you into heaven - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Contemplate how the Roman empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years to accomplish the religion of the Israelites C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20
Revelation 6 1st Seal: White horse = Roman Empire conquering nations under Trajan 98-117 AD & Gospel spreading rapidly. 2nd Seal: Red horse, bloody civil wars with 32 different Emperors, most killed by the sword. 185-284 AD 3rd Seal: Black horse, economic despair from high taxes to pay for wars, farmers stopped growing. 200-250 AD 4th Seal: Pale horse, 1/4th of Romans died from famine, pestilence; at one point 5,000 dying per day. 250-300 AD 5th Seal: Diocletian persecuted Smyrna church era saints for ten years, blood crying out for vengeance. 303-312 AD 6th Seal: Political upheaval in the declining Roman Empire while the leaders battled each other. 313-395 AD
Revelation 7 Sealing of 144,000, the saints, before trumpet war judgments, which led to the fall of the Roman Empire.
Revelation 8 1st Trumpet: Alaric and the Goths attacked from the north, the path of hail, and set it on fire. 400-410 AD 2nd Trumpet: Genseric and the Vandals attacked the seas and coastlands, the blood of sailors in water. 425-470 AD 3rd Trumpet: Attila and the Huns scourged the Danube, Rhine & Po rivers area, dead bodies made water bitter. 451 AD 4th Trumpet: Odoacer and the Heruli caused the last Western Emperor (sun), Senate (moon) to lose power. 476 AD With the Western Roman Emperor (restrainer of 2 Thes. 2) removed; the son of perdition Popes took power.
Revelation 9 Two woe judgments against the central 1/3rd and eastern 1/3rd of the Roman Empire. 612-1453 AD 5th Trumpet: Locust & scorpions point to Arabia, the rise of the Muslim army. Islam hides Gospel from Arabs. 612-762 AD 6th Trumpet: Turks released to attack Constantinople with large cannons (fire, smoke, brimstone). 1062-1453 AD
Revelation 10 The little book is the printed Bible, which was needed after the Dark Ages when Scriptures were banned by Popes.
Revelation 11 7th Trumpet: Martin Luther measured Roman Church; found that it’s an apostate church, not part of true temple. The two witnesses are the Scriptures and saints who proclaim the pure Gospel and testify against the antichrist Popes. Papal Church pronounced Christendom dead in 1514 AD. Silence for 3.5 years. Then Luther posted his 95 Thesis, which sparked the Protestant Reformation and brought the witnesses back to life. Millions of Catholics were saved.
Revelation 12 Satan used the Roman Empire to try to wipe out the early Church, Satan was cast down as the Empire collapsed.
Revelation 13 The antichrist beast Popes reigned in power 1,260 years, 538-1798, is the little horn of Daniel 7, son of perdition. The false prophet Jesuit Superior General rose to power from land (earth) of Vatican and has created many deceptions.
Revelation 14 Points to great harvest during the Protestant Reformation & wrath on Catholic countries who obey antichrist Pope.
Revelation 15 Overcoming saints victorious over the beast. Prelude to 7 vials and judgment on those who support Papal Rome.
Revelation 16 1st Vial: The foul sore of atheism was poured out on Catholic France, leaving them with no hope, led to revolution. 2nd Vial: The French Revolution started in 1793, killed 250,000, as France had obeyed the Pope and killed saints. 3rd Vial: The French Revolution spread to rural areas of France, where Protestants had been killed in river areas. 4th Vial: The bloody Napoleonic wars shed the blood of countries who had revered and obeyed the antichrist Pope. 5th Vial: Judgment on the seat of the beast. Papal States invaded in 1798, Pope imprisoned, removed from power. 6th Vial: The Turks vast domain dried up, they were only left with Turkey.

I most likely have ADHD, but it manifests in what I call the "Only 1 Dollar Syndrome". It's only 1 Dollar, I can afford to buy that! Which is how I now own over 100 unread books, my main thing to buy.
I've been suspecting I was neurodivergent in some way shape or form for some years now, and shit like what's described in this vid is one of many reasons why (that and the fact that coffee keeps me from being impulsive most of the time)
I got ADHD + Autism
Autism says I must be as resource efficient as POSSIBLE.

Everyone talking about Daniel's downfall to madness but he is legit pointing the way out of it while making us laugh
betterhelp definitely isn’t an actual solution for any mental health problem, it’s been shown time and time again that they’re just a bad service
@@jade_is_tired I never used it so I don't know, but it is true that you can find a lot of bad therapists wherever you are. Even so, I like how he usually places emphasis on the importantance of not giving up trying to find a good psychiatrist who matches you.

Yeah no. Better help is a shitty company that is bad for both clients and therapists

The only thing wrong with this song is that it ends. We need a full movie of Daniel
@@theoddgoats9660 wow this is wild!
That’s tough to hear! Daniel definitely read this!!!!
I did some googling - from what I've read, they've done some shady business practices, and
larger-than-normal percentage of their therapists are *inexperienced*, but I've found little to suggest the therapists are unlicensed (contrary, I only found statements that they ARE licensed), and being licensed, to me, suggests a fair amount of training.
