It feels as if there was a whole different world back then that existed when I was a kid and watching this is a portal to that world. So thank you so much for uploading this! :)
Why would people talk about your favorite childhood melody? This stuff wasn't that popular. If it would have been Zelda's windmill song, I would get it but this..
This was one of the first gameboy games I had. While it was pretty hard, I still enjoyed it. I actually completed the game when I got a little older! :)
I was never able to get past the door vault. It's nice to see how this game ends. I always found it funny how the 3rd kid looked when Sulley scares him.
What i never thought i could ever find this game ever again sometime i even thought i was dreaming when i play this game the memory was so blurry cause im so young when i played this
The History of the Monster World: Long ago, there lived two races of sentient creatures: the Mans and the Mons. The mons tried to make friends with the mans, but the mans thought that the mons were small, hairy, had bad breath and they smell bad so they chased them off to sea with spears, clubs, torches and rocks. The mons swam and swam for their lives until they found themselves on a enchanted island isolated from the rest of the world. When the mons ate some of the strangest fruits and vegetables, they became more hairier, their teeth grew worse and they reeked. The mons never knew that eating the same foods that the creatures of the island ate gave them some of said creatures’ traits as they eat some more pods, they became bigger and bigger. One day, one of the mons saw his reflection at a pool and was frightened by himself. That mon told the other mons about their new frightening appearances, they remembered what happened when they tried to be nice to the mans only for them to frighten them away, the mon said: “What if we’d give the mans a taste of their own medicine, we should sneak back into their land and scare them a little bit!”, and so they did. The mons accept this as their mission in life and over the years it became a success, this act of scaring is called “monsterizing” meaning that the mons are now known as monsters. After years of monsterizing mans, the monsters discovered that the mans’ screams could be a power source and that the children’s made things easier. The founder of Monsters Inc. has invented doors that lead to children’s bedrooms all over the world and he believes that children are toxic after a monster is found dead (actually, he died of a heart attack caused by him being scared).
It's so funny seeing Monster's Inc on gameboy color still since it exist in a completely different timeline in my mind where Gameboy color is old and Monster's Inc feels more recent
Are you sure? I haven't played this _or_ the other game you speak of, but all Vicarious Visions games I have played were great! (Madagascar, Over the Hedge, Brother Bear, and maybe others that I'm not thinking of)
@@607 Their console output was pretty good, but their handheld stuff was very hit or miss. They made a lot of super generic license-based platformers on the GBA and kinda oversaturated it in a sense. Their stuff is really hit or miss. Well, except for their GBA Tony Hawk games. Those were rad.
@@Takimeko That's possible! They do seem to have made a lot of games, so maybe I haven't come across any of the misses yet. By the way, the games I mentioned: Madagascar, Over the Hedge, and Brother Bear, are all for GBA. None of _them_ are generic, in my opinion. Oh, there's also a Penguins of Madagascar game for GBA, which is more of the same, reusing a lot from Madagascar, but it isn't bad anyway. Besides gameplay, those three games also have great graphics and music! Although I'd say Brother Bear isn't as strong graphically.
@@607 A lot of their GBA stuff was very copy-paste. They were always platformers running on the same engine (to the point some of the games used the exact same scene-transition effects and even SFX). I can vouch though, their Over the Hedge an Madagascar games are really good.
I remember I was stuck in that level for a while where you play as Sully and you have to gather the rest of the paperwork for Mike right before you meet Boo till I finally found out what I was supposed to do to break down that steel wall
As a child I loved this game, I played it a lot until I made the mistake of lending the game to a friend only for him to steal it from me and when he went away it hurt me, pretty good game
Bruh...i remember playing this as a kid, but I don't think I kept playing for the 2nd hald of this video...🤔 😳 Going to try to find it and to play it again. 😂 👌🏻

Worst Game Boy Color game I ever played... I wonder if this ever got past QA. This guy makes it look easy. It's not. Seriously, there's a lot of flaws the keep this from being a good game. One of which you get a lot of knockback if you hit an enemy or hazard, enemies like Randall move WAY too fast, a lot of your jumps are leap-of-faith, and the grouping of levels is not consistent. (To get to certain levels, like boss battles, you have to go through others, which may or not be hard.)
I remember having this game as a kid and being stuck on like the 3rd level and just not playing again
Dude same
Exactly same
So true
Yep exactly why I came to watch this lol, I’ve never seen past the first few levels
Same lmao
It feels as if there was a whole different world back then that existed when I was a kid and watching this is a portal to that world. So thank you so much for uploading this! :)
0:57 I can't believe it... I'm on Game Boy Color!
Underrated af
Nobody is talking about the music of the first level. One of my favorite melodies of my childhood.
I’ll never forget this was the game that was in my game boy color when I lost it at my grandma’s house and never found it again.
I was never able to get past the door vault. It's nice to see how this game ends. I always found it funny how the 3rd kid looked when Sulley scares him.
9:05 It took me forever to figure out how to dash to break through that wall as a kid.
I had to watch the playthrough to understand it lmao
Ah! Someone recommended this to me. It is apparently a lot better than the GBA game!
What i never thought i could ever find this game ever again sometime i even thought i was dreaming when i play this game the memory was so blurry cause im so young when i played this
I think this version follows up the movie way much closer than the GBA one
I agree
Where as the gba version only concentrates on their main goal
and doesn’t focus on the story
Oh yeah it's amazing :)
That's Vicarious Visions for ya ;)

I remember this game. It's not very good. But its music is quite dope though. Lol.
It was and nice to see u here lol

I LOVE this game as a kid! i was obsessed! this game is a 5 star for me omg. so fun
I watched that movie back at my elementary school when I was a little kid.
Me too. I went to the movies to see it.
I remember having this game back in the old days

Vicarious Visions? The Crash collection on PS4 and pc? Guys went up a notch..

Now Vicarious Visions are Blizzard Albany. Thanks to them for remastering Crash Bandicoot and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games.
20:30 is a cover of “I come off” by young mc
I remember almost beating this game but ended up breaking my gameboy color because of how frustrated I got for losing haha yeah good times
There is good soundtracks in this game, very jazzy and groovy!
The sledding part is literally the only part I clearly remember of this game lol.
Probably one of the first games I played. Never got very far
Omg I used to have this game when I was little lol
I remember I was stuck in that level for a while where you play as Sully and you have to gather the rest of the paperwork for Mike right before you meet Boo till I finally found out what I was supposed to do to break down that steel wall
I know that movies I'll miss them
This game is so good!! I might have to buy it again.

Sullivan: wE oUtsMaRtEd HiM

Bruh...i remember playing this as a kid, but I don't think I kept playing for the 2nd hald of this video...🤔 😳
Going to try to find it and to play it again. 😂 👌🏻
I still have this game cartridge
Currently playing this on my Gamboy colour, the batteries will barely keep it alive so this is the next best thing
Man the sledding part made me lose my shit so many times. Not sure if I ever passed it. May have been the reason I never finished it.
I could never get past the final sledding level as a kid.
I used to own this video game and the GameBoy which played it. I thought it was a fun game.

Don't Let Randall Win
Doesn't look too bad if you like the movie.
I struggled at Randall boss fights as kid
Your typical gameboy colour game
14:24 Sulley runs through Monstropolis at night to Harry Hausen's. Gameboy plays Sulley in this point.
IT'S A GOOD GAME TO PLAY
Charming, but you don't know what platforms you can jump onto.
Imagine the Sullivan Gwasowski face here.
I don't know this one but I loved the one from Ps1 when I was a kid.
That game I have played when I was younger and I found it scary but Gameboy Advance because little scary and tired.
I couldn't get past the first boss.
Never knew there were monsters inc games
Eu até hj tenho a fita desse jogo ♥
I bought this real cheap at a garage sale a few years back. It's bad. Not terrible, just regular plain old bad.
Cool 😎

Avoid Kids Grams And Their Toys
ESRB: Mild Violence
Much better than GBA version.
No offense, but that's your opinion; I, on the other hand, enjoy both versions of the titular heroes ! 😁🙄
Now GBA Version
Tienes gameboy color no puedes hacer eso
This game is Disturbing.
How?
0:46:08

Nah Randall moving fast is what makes it more challenging
I love it
