The Last Day of RATP Dev Operations On Route E1

Today is the last day of RATP Dev Group operating the Route E1. It is currently opreated hy RATP at their Hounslow[AV]. The current allocation is Alexander Enviro 400 and Hybrids. The route will pass to Metroline at their Greenford[G] garage with the allocation being Existing Gemini 2 B9TLs.
On 22 June 2013, the route was included in the sale of First London's Greenford (G) garage to Metroline.
On 31 May 2014, the route passed to Abellio London operating from their Hayes (WS) garage using brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro400Hs.
In September 2015, an existing Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident was introduced.
On 20 August 2016, a half-hourly weekend night service was introduced.
In March 2017, the route was converted back to a full Alexander Dennis Enviro400H operation.
On 29 July 2017, the allocation was transferred to Southall (AB) garage.
On 13 July 2019, Southall (AB) garage was announced closed and the allocation was transferred to Armstrong Way (GW) garage.
On 20 March 2020, the 24-hour weekend night service was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On 29 May 2021, the route passed to London United operating from their Hounslow (AV) garage using existing Alexander Dennis Enviro400Hs.
On 31 August 2023, an existing Alexander Dennis Enviro400 was introduced alongside the existing Alexander Dennis Enviro400Hs.
Between 6 September 2023 and 18 October 2023, a consultation for the extension of the route from Ealing Broadway to Osterley Tesco was open to the public for approval.
On 25 May 2024, the route passed back to Metroline operating from their Greenford (G) garage using existing Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs. At the same time, the PVR decreased from 8 to 7.
The route will be extended from Ealing Broadway to Osterley Tesco from May 2027.
