Ooh! This was a good one! I love a pretty doily. Never in a million years did I think I would see the day that young women were making doilies again! I’m here for it. Pretty soon, I will pick up some tiny cotton and a tiny hook and give it a go!
I love watching your videos, you crack me up. There are times I wish I could just be there next to you with a cup of coffee and let you know when you misread a pattern (which I do many, many times, I've had to pull out rounds or rows and redo them). With this pattern, you missed that you should have chained 4 in round 7 (you chained 3) which is causing your work to curl up a just slightly. Just know that your channel is one of my favorites and keep up the wonderful work. You are appreciated!!!
I remember my grandmother having dining table hot pads like this. They were linen with cotton batting sandwiched between and the cotton lucky star doily tacked down to the top face. They were only used for special occasion dinners and were carefully hung on the pantry wall by the attached bone ring. You couldn't use your everyday cotton fabric hot pads when you were using the good china don't cha know. Had to fancy it up a bit. LOL. Lovely job again.
I think it is for hanging on the wall as a decoration. This is something I would give to somebody who has moved into a new house or is having a baby for good luck. You did a wonderful job on it it turned out gorgeous. Have a great day.❤❤❤❤❤
I admittedly have 0 patience for tiny hooks and thin strands, but I love taking vintage patterns and blowing them up with regular modern yarn. I've been looking for a pattern for a baby playmat for my cousin and I think this is the perfect one for using chunky yarn, lol. I love watching the mystery videos and am always amazed at your patience with the fiddly sizes.
This is designed to go over a metal or cork hot pad. As it is sewn to fabric first and then to the hot pad it an be removed for laundering and then slip stitched back on. I have 2 beautiful pink ones that I use to hold my teapot. 🥰🇨🇦
I'm sorry you're having a hard time right now; so am I. I agree that watching Corinna's videos is calming and takes me out of myself and my troubles for a time. Let's pray for easier times ahead for the both of us. 🙏
I'm making this and it works up so fast! I did size 3 thread and I love how big it is. Thinking I'll make some more and put a candle with it as a present. So pretty and doesn't take long at all. I started it last night, had to work today, but now finishing it, so took me about 2 and a half hours or less. Thanks for sharing!
You have such patience!!! I love that you just jump in and shoot for the moon...looks great when you finish!!! Thanks for being a load star for so many of us - I bet my Granny is looking down from Heaven and is pleased the 21st century hasn't robbed us all of our inherited skills and interests! Thanks a ton!!!! ❤❤❤
You did good, it looks lovely. But the pattern was right, too. The repeat starts with 6/4/2 dc, and it ends with a single dc, so there are 7/5/3 dc together, it's just worded a bit confusingly.
I think I remember a boo boo was in round 7(???) It said chain 4 but I think you were on auto pilot (I know all about that!)and did the same chain 3 as previous rounds. This made it curl up a tiny bit. After another two rounds tho it was invisible! It is fabulous. Amazing to me you can follow any of it!
I have a suggestion for your sore finger. Before doing the really fine fillet crochet, put a band aid on your finder, one of the cloth ones with no holes. It will cushion your finger so it won't hurt as much.
I immediately had a hunch by round 3 what this pattern would be. You made a lucky star mystery pattern before. This one is interesting though, going on a pad with a ring like that. I can't imagine what purpose it would have. Also, the pattern is correct. You didn't connect the dots with the way it was written. When they instructed you in that one row to make 6dc, 2 chains, and then to skip 1 dc, and make 1dc. Then start with 6 again. Which gives you your 7 in a row. They split it, but they did tell you to make 7. Same with the next rows.
I came here to say that, after the second time you missed the single DC at the end of the repeat I was getting quite frustrated but i get it I've been there too.
Love these videos. I'm saving the successful ones and crocheting along with you. God bless you. Your videos have brought me some peace in my life. Thank you for all you do.
That came out amazing. I do think it is supposed to be a hot pad. But I bet it was a hot pad you put your dish on to protect your table when you ha e company over.
You are so stinking cute 😂 I love this channel so incredibly much. You make me want to crochet every time I watch you (even though I’m absolutely not crocheting anything vintage right now). Thank you for keeping crochet fun!! I do not care one bit when you go off pattern. I actually love when you do! You do you, boo!!!
I worked along with you before reading comments, the only way to keep the mystery!! That was a fun one!! At the end of the pattern, it said to make a 2nd one just like it, then the rest of those extra bonus instructions/ suggestions 😊 I used a 4mm hook and Premier Cotton Collage in a beautiful variegated, and finished is about 9" across. Thank you for a fun video!! I so very much enjoy these!!! ❤
Hello, When you said "breaking some rules", I started singing that in the tune of, 'Breaking the law' by Judas Priest🤣. Yeah, I don't know where that came from lolz!! I love the thread color, so pretty. You did a great job..
Just wondering if you have ever just made the pattern as written the first time without making any changes? It really could turn out amazing and you could be pleasantly happy with how it turns out. With that asked, I love your work and the color of your thread is gorgeous.
if the twist really bothers u only untwist a little. if u untwist to much it messes the thread up to become to loose you will notice it in your stitches, love ur channel keep em coming
This is so pretty !! Ty Justin !! Nice pick of something , can b many things , hot pad , wall hanging, pin cushion, or just a plain Doiley !! ❤ It !! Thank You for another great video 📷 !!
After I watched this, I just scrolled through your channel and just picked another video to watch and it was another Lucky Star doily but it was for a table runner. What a coincidence. It was about 5 months ago. It must mean I have to buy this pattern. 😊
I love this pattern. I think I might have it in my stash somewhere. The motif was pretty popular and was published several times. Thanks for choosing this one.
This could also be used as a small trivet to put your hot drink on. I have lots of old "Workbasket" magazines that I have kept for a long time and also inherited lots of old patterns from my grandmother, which I cherish. They are filled with a lot of great stuff to make. I particularly love all the old beautiful doilies!
What a beauty! The orange color is giving me pumpkin vibes. This pattern could be used from hot pads, to pin cushions, to Christmas ornaments. How is Merlin doing with his grooming? Is he still grumpy about it? And how is your finger doing? Hopefully it is not still sore. Love this mystery pattern, another success--one for the scrap book! I'd love to see a review of all the patterns and samples you have collected in there! 😘💓👏❤️
This is beautiful. I'm going to make it. I made a doily last week. The pattern is called Frost Nova. The final round was challenging but I managed to figure it out. I just need to block it.
I'm happy to see your nails free of polish. I have vision issues and the polish/false nails presented me with issues. I have resubscribed 😊 I look forward to your next video. Have a super day!
Hi. My gosh you triggered my happy childhood memories. My mom used to bring me these type of patterns with supplies and I made them at age 8. This was her way of helping me make pocket money. What joyous memories. Thank you so much. I just love what you're doing. Most awesome childhood memories
Waaaay back in the day, we used to crochet those onto our sweaters, it was a thing, but we couldn't afford the sweaters from the store, so we just made do and just crocheted whatever we liked. I don't see anyone doing that anymore.
I remember girls sewing them to the fronts of colorful pullover sweatshirts too. That'd still be cute. Plus you could add a collar and even some cuffs made with the same color thread.
@snospmoht3252 that's what we used to do, we were poor and couldn't afford the sweaters at the store with the flowers and designs, so my mama taught us how to do it at home, a lot cheaper. I wish that would come back in style.
Bellissimo! ❤❤❤❤ qualcosa di simile l’avevo già fatto quando ero bambina… adesso non faccio più centrini perché ne ho già troppi però questo capolavoro può essere sfruttato come acchiappasogni 😊
Came here to say this… I know it’s weirdly written but it does say skip one, 1DC, repeat, the beginning of the repeat then asks for the remaining stitches required for that round….
Their old hooks were way better than the current modern ones though, I recently bought a set of rose gold coloured ones and some are really rough, not nice
Looks like a poinsettia to me. Imagine it with a yellow center ring then red and edge (or back) with green. Would make a cute Christmas hot pad or with a bigger yarn a placemat.
That is screaming for a black candle stick or white skull! I know it's partly cuz of the colour but also lacy Victorian looking things work with my Halloween style ❤🎃

Wir haben solche kleinen Häkelsterne vor 65 Jahren in der Schule gehäkelt. Ich freue mich, dass es das Muster noch gibt. 😂
I think it is for hanging on the wall as a decoration. This is something I would give to somebody who has moved into a new house or is having a baby for good luck. You did a wonderful job on it it turned out gorgeous. Have a great day.❤❤❤❤❤
What a good idea! You could mount it in an embroidery hoop.

I can’t wait until she adds some tatting patterns to the mystery pile 😁
@@Ryan-Hexx-RN same, she got me thinking with that video recently and I've been looking into it.
Me too. Tatting is my goal and it's so beautiful.
Perfect timing, having a tough moment right now and this is a great grounding moment
I'm sorry you're having a hard time right now; so am I. I agree that watching Corinna's videos is calming and takes me out of myself and my troubles for a time.

I am praying for both of you today.🙏
@@naowright9308 Thank you.
Looks like a pretty star ornament for a Christmas tree. Another beautiful mystery pattern. Thanks for doing these, they're so fun fun watch!

It's a really pretty one, one of the best so far. Makes a lovely fall piece in that colour xxx
You have such patience!!! I love that you just jump in and shoot for the moon...looks great when you finish!!! Yeah, it was supposed to be chain 4 in round 7 but it didn't show😊

I think it’s a Christmas bauble. It’s lovely
I came here to say that, after the second time you missed the single DC at the end of the repeat I was getting quite frustrated but i get it I've been there too.
I just love crocheting together with you. We're both just doing our own thing. And I love your nailpolish!
Great job with the pattern interpretation. Love yours it looks beautiful.
You hit the nail on on the head with this one, absolutely 💯 love it 👏👏❤️❤️🇬🇧
I'd say with the backing on as in the photo, a coaster to set the coffee/tea pot on, not necessarily an oven mitt.
Love these videos. I'm saving the successful ones and crocheting along with you. God bless you. Your videos have brought me some peace in my life. Thank you for all you do.
Love these mystery makes. I didn’t watch any for a while, until I did, not I’m hooked.❤❤
Very pretty
Thats a pretty doily. I think it was sewn on a cushion cover. I love it.
That came out amazing. I do think it is supposed to be a hot pad. But I bet it was a hot pad you put your dish on to protect your table when you ha e company over.
will you do more tatting???????????????? that is so pretty

This is a smart looking pattern, turned out pretty ❤

I love the pattern
Great job as always
I think its a Christmas decoration or a tea/coffy pot stand ❤

THat is so pretty, I like the color of this thread! and very cool pattern.
A two and a half hour second. I like that one 😄
Sooooooo pretty i love it. Some colour changes would be cool too
if the twist really bothers u only untwist a little. if u untwist to much it messes the thread up to become to loose you will notice it in your stitches, love ur channel keep em coming
So pretty. I think I'm going to do a bunch of your doilies and link them together for a shawl.
Oh I love this one! I think you were just overlooking part of the pattern, that extra dc was definitely there, it's just at the end of the repeat
I think it’s a Christmas bauble. It’s lovely.
I love it! I started crocheting at age seven…making doilies like this one! ❤️
Oh man! I just got done doing 7 of these exact doily coasters!! The modern pattern that I bought had it the way you did it with the row 6. Good job!
Love the "Its Purdy". My daughter, Samantha, says you sound like me. Lol Love ya lots.
This is so pretty !! Ty Justin !! Nice pick of something , can b many things , hot pad , wall hanging, pin cushion, or just a plain Doiley !! ❤ It !! Thank You for another great video 📷 !!
I love this. I’m wondering if cotton t shirt yarn or white cotton rope or laundry line wouldn’t make a one of a kind bathmat…. Hmmmmm…
This was such a pretty doily to do. These remind me of snow flakes, so I’m making quite a few of these for a garland to decorate my Mum’s room.
Love this! Looks very "Halloween-y" to me, with the orange thread and those stitches between the stars that look like spiders!
Love your video. What a beautiful pattern and color. Great job! 😊
This is remarkably similar to a table runner pattern that you did a while back! (I’m currently in the middle of making one for my mom)
It looks good in orange. You should you it for fall/halloween decorations.
Love seeing you in a good mood! This turned out beautifully
Wow that's so beautiful and thank you for sharing ❤️
After I watched this, I just scrolled through your channel and just picked another video to watch and it was another Lucky Star doily but it was for a table runner. What a coincidence. It was about 5 months ago. It must mean I have to buy this pattern. 😊
Make two, place several circles of flannel in between then stitch the points on and you will have a hot pad or pot holder, with the ring to hang it
I love this pattern. I think I might have it in my stash somewhere. The motif was pretty popular and was published several times. Thanks for choosing this one.
That color you are working with is beautiful. Thank you. Enjoy your channel.

Have a shawl pattern with this star, looks pretty! Blessings
I would use this as a doily and my favorite item to make was doilies.
Wow it's so beautiful.... I truly love your hard work you do for us.... 🎉🎉🎉

Well, that was satisfying. Very pretty
This is so cute and now I want to make a couple 😅
I am super into making doilies lately.
Very pretty ❤❤❤❤❤, a shawl would be nice.
Love the color thread you picked
I can see this in 100% alpaca and larger hook for a fold over shawl! 😱👍🏼♥️
It would make a cute poinsettia coaster for the holidays if you feel like adding another layer of aggravation of changing colors!
Super pretty make! Definitely a success! 🦋
I really love ur channel! ❤ Never stop pls 😊
Nice job. Very pretty. Love the color.
Lucky I just needed a break from crafting...perfect break 😁
Love it!!!❤❤❤
That is lovely. Thank you! ❤🙂👍🏻

Milward crochet hook is a crochet hook brand in the UK

so cute
very nice

It is curling because you chained 3 when it was supposed to be chain 4

Very pretty
Very nice! 💙
