Doing sign in the intro while you speak would also be so helpful. I've learned some signs while watching deaf youtubers who weren't actually teaching but they speak while they sign. I'm learning ASL as my 6yo daughter is hearing but non-verbal and I want her to have a community of peers and a circle of friends as she grows and learns life
I have signed for many years, but your videos are so great! They are a great refresher for many signs but you've also taught me some great things about ASL that I love. Thank you so much for all your work here. You are making an awesome difference in this world. Jane in SC🤟🙏
When I first heard about classifiers and saw my ASL instructor do them, I felt like I was REALLY learning ASL. I think of classifiers as a sophisticated part of ASL because only folks who are serious about ASL know classifiers exist. LOL! 🤣
Classifiers are definitely another level of ASL. We're happy to be getting into some more niche topics of ASL after 3 years of posting videos! I'm excited for you to see our video tomorrow.
It's good that I found you, I study SLG but now I want ASL because I live here, Your videos have really been very helpful to me, I started watching them 1 week ago and I want to see them all but I know I have to do it little by little, God bless you, thank you very much
Love this channel!!👏🏿🤸🏿♀️ I've been watching routinely for months and leaning a lot! I recently happened upon an ASL teacher in real life, and she eagerly welcomed me into her class for beginners. After seeing how advanced I was relative to the other students, she sent me some additional resources to practice. Her top recommendation was this channel!! 😭😭😭🤩😍🤸🏿♀️💃🏿🙌🏿🫶🏿☺️
Hey Meredith, I just wanted to bring up that even though I am subscribed it doesn't let me get notification. Thank you for explaining things so simply for us! I've been using your videos daily to learn how to sign and teach those around me as well. I am on the Autism spectrum and become non-verbal, when that happens I've found it easier to sign things so that I am still able to communicate. ASL is also a very beautiful language.
Hi I'm a big fan of your channel I am learning ASL I have been for a while when I get older I want to become a interpreter anything you recommend to get me to that point? Thanks
Currently trying to learn asl and getting confused with a good app, but it lacks the classifiers, denoting, and connotations. It's good otherwise. I'm going to have to look up the gum story! (I'm only about a month or so into studying nearly everyday, so getting my vocabulary/dictionary in. But missing the scentance structure is a real pain. :/

You are right for supporting her in many ways.

You are so welcome! You and our other subscribers enable us to do this. It's a lot of work, but we love seeing the fruit of it on the other end.
I agree!
