I went to test the fire alarm today only to find out the pull station in my kitchen decided it didn’t want to cooperate today. Oops. This is why you need to test your system!
Preparation is the key to success!!! Amazing job wish I could see a install process on this would love to have one of these bad boys in my house as well ❤❤❤
The one advantage I have noticed thus far is that it has eliminated our false alarms when we are cooking, lol. I know several people who work in the field so many of the items here were either free or at a heavily discounted price. The red control panel cost me $500 in 2017 and the white one was just $100 in 2022. These alarms are also much louder than a standard residential smoke alarm and have woken me up before out of a deep sleep. Our smoke detectors never did that.
@@SWMOWoodsmanmaybe home smoke alarms should sound more like commercial alarms. Many commercial alarms have a high pitched very loud piezo and a Deep but loud vibration along with it so in theory it would help you wake up faster.
It’s the pull station. The switch inside isn’t making good contact for some reason. I tested it a couple days ago and it did the same thing, so I’ll have to replace it. It’s a shame too, it’s barely over a year old.
Getting minor PTSD from the sound of fire alarms. I miss school so much now.
Lol

Why is this really intresting
"Thats the B key, Dumbass" Thats how you know the guy is chill
I have so many questions one how much did this cost and to why did you buy an industrial firearm? Is there an advantage to just using a regular one?

@charlesrodriguez7984 A fire alarm equipped with a low frequency sounder/horn is best for waking someone up quickly. The NFPA has done research on it.
you have a fire alarm in your house?
I do.
@@SWMOWoodsman why
@@Loganjay_ why use regular household fire alarms when you can use industrial ones
@@Loganjay_ its a niche hobby

Fire lite moment
Question. What caused it to not work. I'm guessing the pull station cause I've heard they don't activate sometimes.

@@SWMOWoodsman I knew it! I had a feeling it was that.
When that happened to you should’ve said this is why we do system test
I was thinking that the entire time
BONK!
Oh no
