I dont recommend showering or working out with emeralds. The 18k gold is not the issue but emeralds are not a hard stone as a diamond is so its more prone to damage by soap, force and more. diamonds hardness scale is 10 (highest) while emeralds are around 7.

If you don't get solid gold, you'll risk tarnishing your pieces. Gold vermeil, for example, is gold plated on top of another metal, so when the gold rubs off eventually (with water, chemicals or whatever) it'll expose the metal underneath and look tarnished. I own several solid gold Mejuri pieces and I've worn most of them every day for almost a year now. they're completely fine after showering and whatnot :) expensive, but they'll last you.
Yes!!! I second this 🤭 that’s why I typically lean toward recommending solid gold - they last forever and you don’t have to even slightly worry about tarnishing or them turning color over time!
