I received this model for Easter back in the mid '70s, and assembled it while visiting my late grandparents! Thanks for the memories, and I really enjoy your channel!
Nice build, very nostalgic! FYI for much of its history, the revellution funny car did not use the Enderle bug catcher injector but the Crower 8 port injector w/o the scoop that was seen on Don Garlits mid engined dragster circa 1970-71
loved this car you deffinitley did it justice wheel swap med blue for the roof details are out of this world nice want one thats fo sure thanks for sharing scooter d
I have a load of these revell models that my dad and I used to collect when I was growing up. Unfortunately, I’ve never built one (at least not at this level) but I’d like to build at least one of them..I’m doing the research now. What do these 80s-90s revell kits sell for these days?
@@RightOnReplicas thanks for the reply Doug. I believe I’ve found some pretty good information after doing some research today.. but I’ve subscribed to your channel and am definitely looking forward to some more videos/content from you! Thank you sir...; -Austin
The photo on the box is not the car that the kit resembles, they are two different cars. The kit is of an actual McCulloch car, just not the one on the box.
@@RightOnReplicas My relative is Bernie Wadekamper who tuned the engines for Ed during that era. I was around Bernie and Ed in the Seattle area. The first version of the car is the actual kit, which didn't have the butterflies. The next version had an extended frame and the butterflies were added. Also the butterflies extended forward of the windshield into the hood a bit. Overall great job on the car!

Yes kids, funny cars did look like real cars at one time. Nice job Doug, kudos for the extra detail.
Thanks CS. Details make things interesting! -Doug
That’s badass! You gave it the stance Revell should’ve given it. Love the wing extensions & side skirts also. Beautiful build
Ian, Thanks for noticing! -Doug

I tried building that kit in the 70's and it was just a little above my skill level but I did the 93 reissue and had a great time reminiscing.
SF, I've heard that from a lot of builders that have come back to the hobby. It's all part of our collective histories. Thanks! -Doug
