This is THE ONLY VIDEO that has helped me take this shot in 4 yrs. Thank you!
VERY welcome!
What’s the name of that injection?
What is this for ?
As a father giving injections for the first time to an 8yr old girl. This is helpful. I watched how u added pressure and steady with the hand. 24 is more than I give. My heart goes out for all that have to adjust to this. Thank u.
I had crash course on learning about T1D for my 4 year old in early December 2022. Still trying to process
@@morland yeah it's very scary. I want her to eat healthy and not just kid junk ( because she can get a shot to adjust). But it's not gunna be easy getting her to change her previous diet. The long term things that happen if u don't control it are very frightening. Best wishes and will pray for u.
I'm pleased you found it helpful! The pens are super user-friendly and are definitely a step up from the use of vials and syringes. Best of luck to you and yours. Be sure to ask your healthcare team if you have any questions or concerns. - Ellis
My one is opposite but I'm a boy
THANKS FOR THAT HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 5YRS NOW
I’m terrified and today is my first injection. Your video is a help.
About to go through the same thing right now
Doesn’t hurt at all!
@@susanmcbeth4220 after 9 days of doing the procedure. It doesn’t hurt at all
I am curious on the results of those injections. Did you notice changes in weight?
yes, my PCP said it takes about 3-6 months
@@maxbelfort9081
Painless. FINALLY something that works!
So glad to hear it!
Preparing to insert my first injection; thank you so much for your willingness to be a resource.
You are so welcome!
You pulled off two caps before injection? Do you recap both of them after injection?
@@coolramoneI’ve read an instruction saying do not put the inside cap again just put the outside one because you risk injuring yourself with the needle
I have to do my first injection and I’m glad I watched
Hope it helped! You got this.
I like the audible click at the end. I always feel like I'm awkwardly staring at the client because I don't know when to start counting.
Mine leaks out of my belly a little when I inject it. I’m new to this so don’t judge me but, I’m fat already so I never actually grab some fat, is that possibly why it leaks out of me after injection? I also don’t leave it in for 6 seconds and it’s basaglar.
Thanks for the memo. I just was prescribed this yesterday and waiting for the script. Never been on insulin before.
always clean the site first everyone
We now know you really don't have to, there's no need
@@yoteonthetoobswe now know there are germs and any skin puncture opens you to infection. Is it likely with a tiny injection? Not really, but it is absolutely possible and you should clean every time. Alcohol swabs take seconds.
Thank you for posting this ❤This has helped me be more confident about 😢 this injection thing I’m new at doing
So happy to help!
There’s TWO caps!! 😱 I gone messed up my first dose!! 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
My first time using it but I glad I watched it twice 😊
Great!
Thank you so much! Your instructions really helped. I messed up the first time because I hadn't removed the 2nd cap. Liquid went down my leg 😂
You are welcome! 🤗
Thank you for the demonstration!
Very welcome!
Thank you so much for this video it helped my mom get through her first injection! ❤😊❤
Welcome!
Thanks!!! I got this for my mom and i have no idea how to use it... Good presentation 👍👍
This is my second week doing this and for some reason I still feel this thing and it’s painful 😭
Pinch your skin up & it shouldn't hurt at all. Best wishes to you.
Can you wipe the skin with freezing alcohol? This is my first time to use this and it scares me to death.
I got my prescription today. I am scared to death of needles. Thanks for this demo but i think ima pass out.
I was scared to death of needles as well. I used to faint when having a blood test or even seeing needles. You would be surprised how quickly you adopt. Best wishes!
Your wonderful! I was so concerned, it was going to hurt. I did not know if I needed to gab it , I did not, lol! Great directions 😍
You are so welcome!
Awesome easy way to use thank you for sharing
Very welcome!
Yes, Ma'am, when we want to inject insulin into the we pinch the skin and put the needle, but how do we do it in the hand, we pinch the skin?
I don't know I've heard 2inches of fat. Do you know how deep the needle has to go in if it's a regular syringe?
Ty for still having this up! My girls father is diabetic and has an ulcer not healing. I take Ozempic 1x a wk and Basaglar 12mg 1x a day and I Just got a continuous monitor that I have on my arm. The BEST thing I ever did! So now, no more sore fingers etc. But ty for this! This even helps me. Bc sometimes I wonder if it's done bc I didn't even realize about the click! Or the angle! Gonna do that next time❤ !
How do you reseal the needle part to keep it clean? And should we be disinfecting first with alcohol ??
Many advise to change the needle every injection, and then you don't have to worry about disinfecting it. The concern with reusing the needle is it can become damaged after repeated use, causing unnecessary pain and trauma to your skin.
Always clean the site first prior to injection everyone.
Im helping my grandma for that, and my imajination is like "andrenaline!!!"
I’m scared of pain any suggestions or does anyone know how it feels I’m very scared to do it
I got my first dose today .
Thank you❤
Didn't they say 2" away from the belly button. That looks more like 4" away.
Thank you for your very helpful demonstration! I was just recently prescribed Victoza, and now need to do this once a day. I'd never done it before, and the idea was scary, but seeing how calmly you demonstrated helped me through my first time.
Glad it was helpful! Best of luck to you! It gets easier.
Very helpful Thanks! First time injecting my mom today
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for this video, I tried watching others and you were the only one that made it easier to follow l!
Thanks so much!
Thanks 🙏 I just pray 🙏 I just got my done today
This video helped me so much thank you so much
Very welcome!
How can I get one of these 😊
This is helpful! I messed my first one all the way up lol.
Don’t forget to was your hands first and to wipe the area with an alcohol swab!
ty...i begin it Thursday!
does this stuff work?
Si funciona. Es increíble!
About to give myself a different kind of injection (the needle is self retractable), but this helps me greatly, since I am afraid!
How long did it take up to see results. I am a diabetic
Pro tip: Don't inject at the same injection site. Find a different spot on your abdomen every time you inject. You'll risk infections and it hurts like a motherfucker.
Also, I like to be a little extra and wiggle the skin a bit to get the insulin flowing.
mf?? Not good...
You will inject everyday?
Thanks for the video. It helped me
Glad it helped😀
Question when I am done giving myself the shot when I pull it out some medication comes out is that normal? I am on day 6 and it's done that everyday so far.
Normal
I just made a pen injection, noticed there a bit of blood and medication appeared at the injection site. The medice dose is 50 iu. Does it mean I injected wrong and the medication wasn't absorbed?
I can't speak to how you injected it or whether any was absorbed, but I would suggest reading the medication/manufacturer instructions. Most recommend leaving the needle in place for a certain amount of time (5 - 30 seconds) to help decrease medication leaking out.
Good explanation
Plz answer my question if u can
So I am about to be diagnosed for diabetes and I want to know if it hurts at all I am starting doing that today but I haven’t yet and scared to concur the future and how I will do it
Sometimes it stings but u can do it …
How to replace the needle tho? How to remove the used needle?
I put the cap back on it and turn it counter clockwise, so you don't risk pricking yourself with the needle.
Does it hurt?
I find that it doesn't hurt. The needle is very tiny.
*ohhh no I just injected mine but I didn't hold the button down while it was inserted in my stomach!!! I just pushed the button in once and let it go and then I held the needle in for 6 seconds.... Should I inject it again!??! It went to 0 but I wasn't holding the button down so I'm not sure now ahhh!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!!!* 🙏🙏🙏
Hi I just did my last shot Wednesday now my Dr raised my dose can I start the new dose now or do I have to wait 7 days exactly?
I did my first. When will I feel the side affects of nauseousness if any?
Can I do the thigh or only stomach area?
I just saw another one of your videos stating no to pinch. Which is the current method?
Thank you!
Welcome
Does it bruise you when you do it. I did something wrong and ended up with a bruise
You didn’t take the air out ! My pharmacist showed me how there’s a a little emblem on the first click you turn it to there take off the cap and press and a bit of liquid come out then you can turn to your dose amount ! I see so many people skipping this direction it’s crazy
Just learned this today at my job😊
Nice!
Didn’t hurt at all!!! We got this guys!!🫶🏾🫶🏾
Subcutaneous injection of pressure the angle degree is about 90 overweight and normal
patients and 45° for thin patient
Thanx for showing as type 1 D from 3rd world this pen injection were new to me i liked old one better
Appreciate you watching!
Do these not have like caps going around mine I have growth hormone injections daily and I have like a cap which pushes down not showing the needle😅
So you don't pinch your skin the whole time you giving the needle just to stick it in and then let go. I'm just starting this today.
No alcohol to wipe the injection area?
Hello! I was just wondering if its normal for some blood to come out?
The plunger doesn’t go down in the syringe and I am only half way what do I do?
Thanks for demo🙏
Very welcome!
My needle leaks a few drops after I take it out, why?
What happen if some medication drip a little
Is that painful?
Which side should I use to the inside
I just injected it spilled not sure why and not sure if i shld try again
What injections is this for?
It has any side effect ..and wat side effect on body after uses
What about your air shot? Do you do them?
Can you tell me if you've ever experienced hot back of neck, hot forehead, ears ringing dizzy vomiting right after a injection
Sounds like you're not eating enough carbs or your insulin dose is too high
Thank you sister
Very welcome!
Hello, where can I get the pen? Does it work's for Omnitrope hormone
omg thanks
So welcome!
For what do you used that?
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Was that 2mg??
How much wait loss to use this
Feel spread goodness
Tq mam..😊
What if there is a small drop at the tip of the needle after pulling it out of your skin, is that normal?
That can happen. Be sure to follow the recommendations for the medication regarding how long to leave the needle inserted. Inserting, injecting, and immediately withdrawing it can cause some of the medication come out of the injection site.
I viewed a another vid and said to count 6 seconds then release and pull out.
I guess no cleaning the injection site is needed 😂
How much do you take? From the sound of the clicks I think they are more than 20
Deathly afraid of needles does this hurt?
I found that it was totally painless. Good luck.
Svp l'aiguille que vous utilisez n•4 ou 6 ou 8
No need to clean with swab?
Since I'm self administering at home and my skin is clean, I don't use an alcohol swab. WHO and NIH have recommended that if the skin is clean, it's unnecessary. - Ellis
Always keep that area clean like a real shot. You never know. Always keep inject area clean before insert it.
Wie heißt die Spritze?
No one told me to do anything like that. I slam it into my belly. It leaks a little bit after it clicks. Do I need to worry I'm off dose?
The dose is preloaded do your fine. You usually get a drop or 2 leaking out when you remove the cap off the needle. Are you following directions and loading (twisting) the pen before you stick the needle in?
do I have to test a new needle every day or just the first time you use it
When you start using a new pen, you do the needle test so it ensures there's no air at the top of the vial and your dose is correct. That is only done when you're using a new pen for the first time (unless otherwise indicated by the manufacturer).
From where i can purchase this Pen plz
👌👌
Hi all it will be painful???
Is this a one time us
