Pull down menu putting sound off mute. Now makes a different sound on beta 3. (or so i believe)
I'm guessing the ability to change where quick settings and notifications may be for left or right handed people? May be more natural that way.

Not really new. I have a s23 and been using it for a while
you can jump between the notification menu and the quick menu when you swipe left and back

Orange Dot there for me to went threw all settings and nothing they are probably going to be adding something soon 🤷♂️ as far as the Battery Icon it definitely looks off but I do like it as I can now see 👀 it

Thanks for keeping us informed Jeff. I imagine the swipe change setting will be good for right handed users. I'm really excited for the official release, the only thing I really wish we had was the ability to color customize/darken the quick setting panels, they look so transparent I can barely notice them with the blur backdrop. IOS quick settings have noticeably darker/more pronounced panels which I hope Samsung takes note of, maybe for a Theme Park module. Aside from that everything looks great so far.
As a person who use their left hand all the time it is a big change and important to able to open quick panels on left
Some icons, such as the camera, clock, calendar, and calculator, do not match the style of other icons. The base of One UI icons is typically colored, but these icons lack this consistency.
Quick settings on the right was the worst thing I'm glad they gave that option
I wish Samsung could go back to the battery percentage outside of battery icon I hate it on the inside

Yes
Samsung is adding more life to Android. It's more beautify and given more personality.
The battery icon is not a big deal. Hardly something to claim as 2 steps back.

I was trying to reach you to tell you about that I got mine this morning Jeff it has a couple of things The battery indicator on the left side is a little bit bigger that little round that little bulb or whatever you want to call it up on the left corner on top it has a different sound when you plug it in to charge you got a lot of clicking when you touch any of the icons what else anyway as long as you know about it cool😮

I have DTMF tones on my S21 Ultra - Verizon is the carrier. Android 14 and One UI 6.1.

Notifications on the right would work for me. I'm righty and use all gestures and panels from the right of my screen. I don't mess with my toggles virtually at all unless it's for something very specific. Otherwise, I use the QP with one-handed operations. I even use a panel for notifications so I don't have to reach to the top of my phone 😂
Back tap would also be good to use for that purpose as well, almost like using my note 8 or 9 fingerprint reader.
Jeff try plugging your phone in there's a new sound when you plug it in if it's a 2.0 it sounds different if it's something else it sounds different when you plug it in let me know if you hear it and also there's a clicking sound when you touch the icons or you close the phone or you move whatever you're going to hear a different kind of click it had it before but this time it sounds more definite just try it out let me know

So I asked for the ability to switch left/right for the swipe down back on one UI 6. I'm left handed & the ability to switch works better for me

Battery icon bug
I have the S23 ultra and no update for ui 7.0 at all yet. I don't know when it will come to my phone.
Sadly don't think S23 series will get the beta this time

Disagree. I think Samsung is on right track making the battery icon / font larger. Before was too small and not clear. Agreed the design is a work in progress.. I prefer the panel setting "together", no accidental pull down of one or the other.
