I can see banning most food additives. Especially HFCS and ALL artificial sweeteners & colors.
If a food says apple juice then it should ONLY contain 100% apple juice, not 10% or some low number.
If you buy a hamburger from say Burger King, you want 100% BEEF. No red slime, no soy, nothing else.
Same with everything you buy. In or out of the grocery store.

I'm wondering how popular increased regulation of food will be with republicans.

He may be a nut case to some but many of these substances that are not acceptable in Europe should not, IMO, be in our food either. A wait and see as to if he'll be appointed is now all speculative. My concern will be (vaccines) how far he will go, if appointed.

Ahh..... They might go after my ice cream. 😂 It's ok though. I'd rather be healthier.

❌RFK JR’s views regarding vaccines are his personal views/🚩danger; it would be detrimental for congressional leaders to award him a pass to head The Department of Health … with this being said there may be a place a place within The Department of Agriculture/food safety

The vaccine industry is extremely corrupt because there is huge money in vaccines.

They are not only his personal views. Many people agree with him.
Most vaccines aren’t necessary and are only pushed by doctors because they get kickbacks from big pharma

Even if all of these perceived changes were enacted it would take processed foods from being treacherously bad to only being horribly bad. If you really want to be healthy, dredge up some will power and quit eating processed foods.

I think, that red dye 40 was banned since 1998. And they still use it? I will not miss any of these foods.

Perhaps you are thinking of red dye #4, banned in 1976. California, that home of bizarre notions about protecting people's health, has banned red dye #40, but it is still available in the areas that eat Freedom Fries.

Our Canadian Fruit Loops taste WAY better than the American ones too. Blind taste tests prove it. The colours are from blueberries, watermelon and others and the taste is far superior to bland America Fruit Loops. I hate RFK Jr. for his stupid conspiracy theory nonsense and antivaxer stance, but this, I think is a great thing. I fully support that kind of effort.

Bragging that your junk food is better is not much of a brag, it's still junk food.

@@CJ-lj9fb Never said I ate them. If I eat cereal at all, it's low sugar stuff like Corn Flakes, regular Shreddies or Rice Cripsies.I don't eat high sugar junky cereals. But I have tasted our f Fruit Loops and ours are vastly better, albeit not nearly as colourful as the American one.
RUclipsrs have done taste tests and "thought" the brightly coloured American Fruit Loops would taste better based on looks. And were shocked that our bland coloured version, tasted considerably better and were like "No way! Wow! The Canadian ones are so much better. C'mon Kelloggs, give us this stuff!"

He may remove harmful ingredients, but the bigger problem is he’s gonna remove any regulations that prevent foodborne pathogens which are far more serious

Since I have blood sugar issues, I'm gong to have to stock up on artificial sweetener. Sometimes people NEED accommodation on these issues.
And btw, this is a total propaganda play for RFK who is a nut job with ZERO credentials in this field.
