Good rule of thumb to have is to never move out until you have double + 15% of what you would need to cover your first 3 months of rent. Price the furniture you need and save that + 15%. Sorry if that was a lot it’s just something my papa and dad always said to me.

my new 1br that i just moved into has carpert, and electric burners on the stove. and this complex is super nice and in a premium neighborhood full of college students and professionals. not too big a deal, except that carpet is gonna be a pain to deal with i imagine.
