i love how while most lovesongs sing about LOVE as a noun (a subject, a final product, a thing to be had and hold on to)
this song sings about LOVE as a verb (a function, a thing that is unfolding, something that happens to you and changes you irrevocably in that process)
i.e. "taffy stuck and tongue tied, stutter shook and uptight ----> pull me out from inside. i am ready, i am fine"
this is more atune to my own personal fucked up experiences of "true" love
