Singing baka mitai in a Yakuza game is the equivalent to pulling out the Master Sword in Legend of Zelda

@@addablesky6203 I know that, I compared it to the master sword because it's iconic for the series but there are few exceptions where you don't get to use the master sword. Just like how Kiwami 2 is an exception when it comes to Baka Mitai.
Edit: I also realized a neat coincidence the Link from Ocarina of Time (Hero of time) uses the Master sword but in the sequel (Majora's Mask) he doesn't. Kiryu also sings Baka Mitai in Kiwami but not in the sequel Kiwami 2.

It’s funny since his model/voice actor is an actual actor who mainly does comedy work (he usually plays a sarcastic/witty character), so it’s rare to see him do this sort of thing.

Ugh, the injections by Ichiban and the others ruin the song. I wanna hear a version where only Namba can be heard, since he actually sounds good. Also, I'm curious how this will sound like in English with Greg Chun singing. And lastly, Sega are such teases. They didn't make Ichiban sing this song. I really wanna hear his version (especially since his VA is Nishiki's).
I'm interested to hear greg chun sing this as well. I know he does a ton of voice work and even directed songs in games like smash and fire emblem three houses so I'm interested to see him singing.
@@mega20able The injections are nice in the karaoke minigames and this does fit with ichiban and his buddies singing in karaoke but it overpowering the song and how nanba sings it and can barely listen to his troubles as a homeless person. but we do expect the game`s OST to come out and listen to nanba singing properly and his backstory as well. also there are some reviews about the game that the combat is ok in this game and is 1 to 1 on persona 5`s combat. people might criticize the combat but we cant just judge a book by its cover right off the start by just sayings its bad already without giving it a go.

@@rishavroy3756 It's an RPG, but from the gameplay I've seen it doesn't look VERY turn based. I think you get time to select which move or summon you intend to use but you actually have to act out the move, rather than just watching the attack play out automatically.

I just beat Yakuza Like a Dragon for the first time today. I also played Karaoke for the first time on this game today after I beat it, and this almost has me crying. I think I am a Yakuza junkie because over that last 3-4 months I have beaten Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2, Yakuza 6, Yakuza Like a Dragon, and I am on chapter 8 of Judgement. Every since I played Yakuza 0 on GamePass I really haven't been playing anything except different Yakuza games. Sitting here depressed as hell thinking about Kiryu, Majima, Nishkiyama, Tachibana, Makato Makimora, Oda-San, and all the other great characters from the Yakuza saga.
same with me. ever since i found yakuza 0 april of last year ive been hooked on it and have played 0, kiwami 1 and 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and just finished like a dragon 2 days ago.
When this game comes to pc I hope someone can mod Kiryu into it with his vocals. I don’t believe we’ve seen him sing Baka mitai on this glorious engine

Yakuza 0’s bakamitai is still the best one
Wish they put "Baka Mitai" in Kiwami 2 and Judgment. Because Baka Mitai is the signature song of the Yakuza series. But, the best covers are done by Kiryu and Akiyama. And no one can outsing Kiryu because his version is authentic and original. Akiyama's version is more modern. And he is just singing his heart out.
I really wanted an Ichiban version with him looking at Arakawa picture remembering their story before he left the Tojo clan and shoot him
